Like Cowboys, Stuntmen, Las Vegas, Menage & BDSM ?

The Sequel to ANY WAY WEST is less the a month away from release day. Trey's story is complete, so those of you who've been waiting for him to find his HEA can breathe easier once you've read his book. As if Trey isn't enough for any woman, he has a twin brother who's going to fire up a little jealousy over the one woman Trey can't touch.

Marc appears to be everything Trey isn't. Dangerous, wild, demanding, naughty, and tempting. Will Mariah find out they're as much alike below the surface as they are superficially. And maybe not everything that happens in Vegas has to stay in Vegas. Once Mariah discovers what she really wants is these two men in her bed...she's ready to experiment for awhile at least.

It looks like the release is scheduled for the early part of September. So you won't have to wait long. DUAL BONDAGE: Roped and Tied . . . coming soon from SirenBookstrand Publishing

What I Did On My Summer Vacation...

My summer vacation may sound more like an adventure than a vacation. Before my husband and I agreed to make a sweep of Texas and Colorado to visit a few of our children, grandchildren, grandcats, and granddogs, we stipulated no sitting around the house talking...

So we didn't have breath left to talk when we were finished.

Saturday, 4 AM Get up. Flight leaves at 6 AM.

9 AM - Dallas - Three-year-old grandson meets us at baggage claim with his parents. He says, "Grandma, I love you. Can we go swimming when we get home?" I, of course, respond, "Certainly, I brought my bathing suit."  Had a wonderful time getting splashed and dunked.

Sunday, Dallas -7 AM Husband goes golfing with son-in-law. We go swimming again. Texas is too hot to be outside unless you're in the water.

Monday, 6:30 AM Get up, flight leaves at 8:00 AM.

9:00 AM Welcome to Colorado Springs. The walk to baggage claim is a 20 degree incline. I can't breathe. There is no oxygen in the air. My lungs are burning. I hope my kids didn't plan on doing anything that requires breathing. There they are at baggage waiting for us. "Hi, today we're climbing Seven Falls, and visiting the Cliff Dwellers," my daughter says, beaming about her plans.

"If I'm alive tomorrow, what have you got planned?" I ask between labored breaths as I try to walk to the car.

"White water rafting down the Royal Gorge! The rapids are class three and four, maybe even one five this week."

"Sounds, wet. How cold is the water?"

"Fifty, fifty-five. But since it's been topping 100 degrees, it'll be refreshing."

"Refreshing?"

She smiled. "We're going to the Cave of the Winds, too. Two hundred and fifty steps...underground."

"Ohhh, wonderful. Maybe the elevation will be low enough for me to breathe." I'm sitting in the air conditioned car and still hoping the spots before my eyes will quit dancing.

"No. First we have to drive up the mountain, and then you climb down. It should feel very much like it does here. We can also go to Olympic Village."

"Now that sounds interesting--"

"Or we can do the zip line over Royal Gorge--"

"NO...zip line. That's where I draw the line in the sand, rock, dirt, water, whatever."

"Okay, then we'll take you out to the shooting range."

"No one's going to be shooting at me out there are they?"

"Mom, you're so silly..."

Here are some of the pictures in Colorado and finally the last back in Texas!.

The Cliff Dwellings. I think it was 102 degrees

The Cave - cool, deep, and we still had to climb up.

Outside the Cave

Seven Falls - this is the first

 Olympic Village

 Don't mess with me....

Don't mess with me...

Ahhhhh! Don't mess with the river...

    Finally my kind of vacation!

5 Cherry Review for More Than a Stud

More Than a Stud by Eliza March

More Than a Stud by Eliza March

Publisher: The Wild Rose Press

Genre: Contemporary

Length: Short Story (35 pgs)

Other: M/F

Rating: 5 cherries

Reviewed by Xeranthemum

With her biological clock ticking away, Carina Roth, CEO and owner of a corporate security company, wants a child. On the night of her forty-second birthday, Carina's 35-year-old corporate intel officer, Evan Douglas, offers to be her baby's daddy. Evan not only wants to father Carina's child, he's ready to prove he can fulfill her every need and that, for Carina, he wants to be...more than a stud.

This romance gets a high five for being a seductive delight that was both charming and stimulating.

For a short story, this book felt complete. Even though Ms. March had to jump into the sexual high points fairly quick, she chose effective and believable disclosures from the hero to make me believe his feelings and commitment to the heroine were genuine and not fly-by-night.

I am pleased and amazed as to how well the author paced her tale so that the buildup had a rock-solid feel to it. The explanation of where Cari was in her life and the decision and fears she had were done naturally during the course of the story It never felt like a narrative with the author trying to justify the quick progression. No, Ms. March was a masterful surgeon, giving me what I needed to know in just the right way and in just the right amount. Could it have been longer? For most short stories, I'd say, yes. But not this time. Maybe it was how the book ended, I'm not absolutely sure, but I felt pretty happy with the outcome.

Evan was a hottie. Not just his looks, although the author certainly made him sound quite dreamy. It was his brains and the fact that he was ex-military and how he applied himself in the civilian sector. When he revealed just how he'd first met Cari, I was vastly amused and intrigued. Turns out that Cari's strong personality turned on Evan's motor up to hyper-drive from the very first and after the disclosure, I could understand why. I really liked how passionate and tender and commanding he was while respecting Cari all the while. It takes a strong man secure in his emotions and place in life to handle things that well.

The best thing? How they were really falling in love the whole time they worked together but either didn't know it or could not acknowledge it. When Cari finally started letting herself think things through is when her blinders fell away. All her pithy justifications scattered to the wind as soon as he got her in that little room and kissed her, and then some. It was seductive, sensual and very convincing.

When Evan made his announcement, of what he wanted to do with Cari, and where he wanted to be in her life, I just swooned. Ms. March nailed it; the romance, the emotional connection, the satisfaction of a story well told. The editing was great, the dialogue fitted their personalities and the plot character driven.

More Than a Stud is a sigh worthy read filled with the best things that make a romance work. I just adored the dynamic of Evan and Cari's relationship and appreciated that Ms. March didn't let it get bogged down by Cari's thinking she was too old for Evan. He wouldn't let her anyway. I like that in a man. I am so glad I got a chance to read this book because it made the romantic in me extremely happy. The title may mislead a reader but don't let it fool you, this story has style and substance.

Thank you Diana Carlyle for the excellent editing. Eliza

Hot Male Monday - Vampires - True Blood

[image error] I'm writing my first vampire book - a M/F/M menage...I think. I've established my characters, written the opening and plotted it, but sometimes as you all know from previous blog entries, my characters take on a life of their own and twist my planned plot, taking it somewhere none of us expected it to go. It makes writing fun [and somewhat challenging] for me. I love a challenge. In honor of my newest WIP and the opening season I'm focusing on my favorite men of True Blood.

Some of my favorite vampires are back with an interesting season opener. I have a pet peeve with all these made for cable special series. As usual, the writers for HBO and SHOWTIME seem to write the weekly segments for If you didn't have it before, surely you'll develop it before the season is over. Please...does anyone else just wish we could watch a full scene to completion without jumping to something else? Maybe the director thinks it keeps the action moving, like it is supposed to do in daytime soaps, but I find it frustrating. In contrast to soaps, these shows are trying to get the audience to identify with these characters in a short amount of time, but I think the director's focus should be keeping my attention not aggravating me to death while we bounce from random thought to random thought.

As much as I enjoyed this series in book form, I'm quite critical of this made for cable version. Yet I'm addicted.

Soooo..... What do I like about it?

The opening music and credits are hot. They draw me in and frankly, I think I turn it on just for that for starters.  [image error] [image error] Then there's Eric ...

Although I wish Eric would grow his hair back out, he's still my favorite vamp. I always go for the naughty boy. [image error] Bill looks like he might grow a spine this season and become my new favorite naughty boy.

[image error] Jason, who makes lovin' fun, gets my vote for the shows most lovable boy bimbo. What a hunk. [image error] Oh, Lafayette, thank goodness for his acting. I adore his style, and his taste in men. ;)    [image error] Oh Sam, with sooooo much untapped potential. Writers, do something worthwhile with him, please! [image error] And Sooky?

Sooky should learn how to act, she's been doing this job long enough. And man I can't wait to see more of Alcide. I guess I'm on a tear today. Sorry if I hurt any one's feelings. JMHO.~~~ Eliza March

More Than A Stud by Eliza March - Short - Not Sweet

More Than a Stud by Eliza MarchAvailable from The Wild Rose Press, Bookstrand, ARe I loved writing these characters. In fact, I wrote the first version in first person from Cari's point of view only to discover it seemed almost too intimate. So I rewrote it in third person and discovered it's still extremely intimate. You'll have to decide for yourself just how much so..Evan may be younger than Carina, but that doesn't mean he's lacking in any way. He's bigger, smarter, more dangerous, and then it turns out he wants to give her everything she's ever wanted. Maybe she can take it, just this once...With her biological clock ticking away, Carina Roth, CEO and owner of a corporate security company, wants a child. On the night of her forty-second birthday, Carina's 35-year-old corporate intel officer, Evan Douglas, offers to be her baby's daddy. Evan not only wants to father Carina's child, he's ready to prove he can fulfill her every need and that, for Carina, he wants to be...more than a stud.~~~Excerpt:"Are you blushing?""Blushing? Hardly." Thank goodness the light in the room was low. She was melting. But where was her hard exterior—the one she needed to protect her? There'd already been too many restless nights lately, when she'd tried not to think about Evan and sex. It was best not to consider him in that context now. They were the best partners, too good at working together to risk crossing that line and ruining everything between them, not to mention the difference in their ages. She couldn't go there."You're not answering. Does the silence mean you—""Look, Evan, we don't play in the same sand boxes." She tried to move away, but he held her firmly in place, one hand on her shoulder and the other firmly at her waist, pulling her tightly against his muscled body and his growing interest."Don't be like that with me. It won't work." The words were clipped and edgy. His voice quiet, his implication explicit. "We both know I can keep up with you on any level—economically, intellectually, socially, emotionally—I'm right there with you." The grit in his voice sounded angry, maybe a bit insulted, too."You know I didn't mean it that way. I only meant I'm older than you and your friends. You hang with a younger crowd, have different interests." "Mmm, so?"Damn, if anyone saw him holding her like this, they'd think she was…ugh, robbing the cradle. She squeezed the hand recklessly massaging too close to her left breast and growled at him under her breath. "Stop that. Let me go.""Not a chance, lady. Don't move or we'll both be embarrassed." He rubbed his cock across her ass to make his point.Evan was young, fit, hard.Oh, God, he is so hard.
