Eliza March Looks at XXX Sports - Hot Male Monday

[image error]
Really, go ahead and toss it my way.

[image error]
Soccer is the biggest sport in the world

If you 're looking for fit bodies, there are a few sportsman you can depend on to show you how good a body can look. I started collecting...uhm...my men, in order to have a frame of reference when I wrote description. Honestly, at first I focused on the eyes. So often the "look" or "gaze" or "glance" is so important when creating a reaction between characters, I wanted to make sure I described the impact by having something to refresh my memory. Like the details of how a blond guy may have dark brows and pale eyelashes. How his beard grow is sporadic, concentrated around his mouth and lower jaw. But a man with darker hair may have a shadow that covers his jaw.

[image error]
Gotta put the ball down sometime...
Then, I needed an inspiration for necks, shoulders, chests...etc. I think you're getting the idea. So these men I collect have parts I need to analyze for my stories. I haven't written anything about sports figures; I was once told that's taboo. Women don't want to read about men playing ball when their significant others watch it ad nauseum. Nevertheless, after checking out some of these bods, I'm inclined to be motivated in that direction.

I think I could come up with a Cinderella story where the trainer marries the quarterback and turns out she inherits the team from a unknown uncle. Hmmm. Maybe I could write Snow White and the Seven Hunks?

Stop back this week for the next excerpt of my WIP, Conquer the Highland Beast.

Hot Male Monday - Eliza March Update on: COWBOYS and VAMPS

[image error]
DO NOT Peek

Well, based on statistics for this week, Men In Skirts is rated first and Fifty Shades of Grey came in a close second. But for all time popular blogs it's Writing More Than One Book At A Time (Really?) and followed by Cowboys and Vampires. So in honor of all my hot men, here are some of examples of each. And I added a tribute to our men in uniforms: firemen and armed forces. Today I've added another excerpt from my WIP at the bottom...

Now I have  inspiration for more characters. In the one I'm writing now THOR would be the inspiration for my hero who is part Berserker and fae- my definition of him is a mortal with demi-god like qualities, capable of calling on his inner beast and growing bigger and more powerful in battle.Here is THOR and here is an unedited excerpt from Conquer the Highland Beast by Eliza March (all rights reserved)

~~~~ [image error]  By the time the sun was full up, Dylan marched into battle, just another mercenary soldier with a hangover.Behind you! He heard a female voice warn.While fighting three men, Dylan whirled and, at the last moment, avoided the ax wielded by a huge, one-eyed warrior. Fighting and retreating, Dylan longed to spy the woman who’d warned him, but as he turned fully to his adversaries the vision he saw set a cold fear deep into his soul and chills up his spine. One man had a young woman by her flame red hair and another had her legs. It was hard to make out her age. She was slight and made no sound, but he sensed her fear. At first he’d been startled to hear her rich sweet voice in his mind. He’d been relieved to again connect with another who had powers like his own. But this scene was too much like his old memories. The girl projecting, sent a quick warning to another while trying to hold back her concern for herself.Suddenly a young boy ran out of the woods to rescue her. He couldn’t have been but fourteen or fifteen. Stay back, Dylan and the girl warned, hurling the command in unison. But it was too late. One of the men who’d been struggling with the girl grabbed the boy.Memories of his own past—Aoife, his family, the lives that were lost. It all flooded Dylan’s senses like a tidal wave, and his berserker rage coursed through him. Free, the beast cried from within him. Blood pumped through his veins at an accelerated rate. His muscles exploded, iron hard. In this form he had the strength of  a god and with it, he spun on his adversaries. Picking off the two men quickly, Dylan tore the girl from the soldier’s grasp. Run and don’t stop, he commanded.My brother!I will free him. Have no fear. And with those words he ripped through the men attacking the boy as if he were a lion and they were mere rabbits.Go, boy! Stay with your sister. Hide well.     Watch out! There are five...Turning his back on the other warriors to save the young boy had been his last mortal mistake. But Dylan would never forget the sister’s pale emerald eyes. The grateful relief he’d seen reflected as his eyes met hers was one of knowing. Then he was struck from behind, her expression changing from relief to horror and then to sorrow. Dylan felt fragmented—dark and light sides of him shattering with the blow. He almost didn’t understand her words spoken in a ancient tongue, but their meaning became clear to him within his mind... We’ll never forget you and what you have done for us, warrior. May the Valkyrie come for you.He’d heard stories of Valkyrie coming for great warriors, fallen in battle, to take them to Valhalla, but those were tales told around campfires after too much ale. The lad and the lass had been among the innocent thousands he’d rescued, and still redemption eluded him. The relief he’d felt when he saw the girl rush off to safety with her brother was priceless. It was one of those rare moments when Dylan experienced complete peace. A short peace though it was, until the sword entered his back.The blade was visible, spilling his guts from the gaping wound. He was sure he wouldn’t be leaving this field alive, even his berserker nature wouldn’t be enough to save him this time.~~~~~ If you are curious about what happens to Dylan, stop by next Monday and I'll leave you the next excerpt. My author page at Facebook has another excerpt posted if you're interested... It's http://www.facebook.com/authorelizamarch stop by and LIKE my page please.Thank you for coming by today ~~ Eliza
Hot Male Monday - Fifty Shades of Grey - Forbidden
[image error]
Tie me in silk
[image error]
What's BDSM all about? I guess that's been a quietly whispered question since the days of the Marquis d' Sade. Now it's going mainstream at the top of the Amazon Bestseller list. Wow!
So what's the BDSM phenomena hitting the best seller list by E.L. James all about? Exactly what the title indicates... Fifty Shades of Grey.
The books are a trilogy of mainstream BDSM for the curious. This involves one couple's fascination with "kinky" over the span of three books... I guess the author and the publisher figured once you start, you'd keep coming back for the next affair. They want to hook you by promising answers to your unanswered questions about the topic.  Don't you want to uncover more about the possibilities? You have to have the question "What more?" answered.
There are plenty of BDSM books out there; some not fit for the feint of heart. This one has taken some heat from both sides. It's too racy for some - too bland for others. The one I wrote was almost too racy for me...
DUAL BONDAGE: Roped and Tied by Eliza March
When I wrote Dual Bondage: Roped and Tied, I agonized over the BDSM club scenes. The one that took place on stage had me cringing. The sub was exposed, physically and emotionally. The dominatrix in charge demanded that his lover dominate him. The scene was not in any of the characters' p'sov instead it was in the pov of the heroine experiencing all this for the first time. At once both fascinated and horrified, she couldn't stop watching and I couldn't not write it.
Cuffed and vulnerable, does not translate "submissive" as these pictures prove.
Wednesday Rants - Show me the stars or show me the money?
[image error]
David Kimmerle, Model
I just couldn't write a blog without sharing a picture with you.
I don't always have to rant on a "rant" do I? I woke up thinking about whether it was more satisfying to get a five star review or five bucks for the book sale. What do you say? Fame or Fortune? Satisfaction or Sales?Or are they really exclusive of each other?
Well, for me, I love the stars because it means I'm satisfying a reader, but the dollars represent the number of readers I'm reaching. I guess the most satisfying is watching the number of sales go up because people are reading and recommending the book.
If your book isn't selling, it's like watching a funny movie alone and not having anyone to share the jokes with. Because honestly, despite we authors claiming we write the books for ourselves, they're no fun if we can't share them with someone. Believe me, no one likes talking through every nuance of a book more than the author. I love explaining how I agonized over which word would be exactly what I meant, or how I dreamed up the plot while making banana nut bread. No one enjoys character building, or creating the perfect hero more than I do, I swear. I want him strong, slightly scared, very hard, sensitive and caring, thoughtful and intelligent, humble and proud...
Frankly, the pregnancy is more exciting than the delivery (the writing more satisfying than the release) until you see what you've created, and then, we want you to gloat over our books like they are our first born child. If I could, I'd hang over your shoulder and watch you read it.
You love it right? You adore the heroine; she's so spunky! The hero is enough to set your panties on fire! It's soooo hot! You need a fan, a cold drink, and a man, right?
Sometimes the books are that good. Sometimes they're not...but it's not like we aren't trying.
If you write, tell me what it's like for you. If you read...well, you all read...what's it like to be the reader when you feel the author's pains of childbirth? Do you think she's anticipating the accolades or is she screaming, "Show me the money." One follows the other in most cases. Perhaps, it's a case of  "which came first question" or maybe it's no question at all. There's always the issue we authors have with not being able to satisfy everyone. Why is that? I'm such a would be pleaser!
Hot Male Monday - Cowboys, Highlanders, or Vampires Take Your Pick
[image error] I the process of reading and writing, I've found I enjoy books about both cowboy and vampire heroes. But then I like pirates and military ones too. There are also werewolves - wouldn't throw one of them out of bed unless he furred up on me. So in the process of writing Conquer the Highland Beast (the prequel to Embrace the Heat , the first book on the Dark Predator series) I've embraced a new kind of hero: Dylan, the hero, believes he's a descendant of a fae grandfather and the son of a berserker.
[image error] But whether his fae ancestor was a seely fae of the light or one of the dark unseelie is yet to be determined. As his story progresses, it's hard to believe there's any light in him, especially once he's turned by an ancient vampire after being mortally wounded during the battle of Culloden. Nicolai is positive that Dylan is the one the ancient scrolls describe as the savior of the vampire world.
The heroine, Fiona, doesn't care what Dylan has become, she loves him and senses her whole purpose in being is to protect the mighty berserker from the dark. Definitely a descendant of the light fae, she is determined to save him if it is only from himself. But Dylan fears his darkness could harm her.
Ach! 'Tis a grand romantic story! LOL [image error] [image error]
If you like a Highland story, Hot Highland Fling is a contemporary erotic romance you may enjoy. This short novella is available from Wilder Rose Press for 99 cents. You can get it for your Kindle, Nook, Kobo, or IBook ap among others.
Hot Male Monday - Wolves, Jaguars, Shifters and Vampires
[image error] In addition to the shifters and beings listed in the title, I can't forget my berserker, Dylan. Good grief, no! He's the one I'm having so much fun torturing. In Embrace the Heat he's already been turned into a vampire and finds his soul mate only to discover he'll have to share her or lose her with the one other person he's come to care for. He's the angry blond with the beserker body to die for.
My dark haired friend here looks like the huge alpha wolf/vampire half breed, Jackson. He's the one Dylan's going to have to share his  soul mate with. Neither are too happy about the arrangement. But Cailin isn't ready to decide between the two--not if it puts one of the men she's come to care about at risk.
[image error] I finished writing the prequel and it's called Conquer the Beast. This is the story of Dylan's beginning and how he met Jackson's father, Nicolai, the vampire who turned him and demanded a promise in return.
The characters you'll read about in future books will all be based on this first introduction to the series. The ancient vampires lived by a whole different set of rules than the modern day vampires do. From ancient times to modern day the immortals must adapt or die. Dying the final death for some isn't an option unless their promises are honored and their debts are fulfilled. That complicates a good many relationships.     [image error]
I'm not publishing the first book until I complete the next two books. I know you're going to want to read these stories quickly once you start. If it makes you feel better, the next two are close to being finished, too. Defeat the Darkness is the third book about vampires and shifters, featuring a most unlikely threesome. Three doctors end up divided by doubt and jealousy, facing supernatural beings they have a hard time believing exist...until one of them is faced with his own change. In the jungles of Guatemala, jaguars exist...but they're not the kind you'll find in a zoo. And an evil ancient vampire from Conquer the Beast is lurking in the jungle waiting for the perfect mate. Too bad he'd already given his heart away.
If I forgot to mention it...these are all M/F/M romantic menages. Lucky girls.    If paranormal menage is what you like, try The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic
Hot Male Monday - Leather 'n Lace in the Man Cave
[image error] Is this perfect or what? Silk, denim and leather, brick and a great looking guy relaxing.
I think I'm going to ruin his relaxation moment by entering his man cave and creating a whole lot of sexual tension. Won't that be fun?
You think he'd mind? Or enjoy it? I plan on starting at the bottom and working to the top. The leather couch looks worn and slippery. Those pants, as comfortable as they look, would probably come off real easily. I bet I could massage my way up under his unbuttoned shirt and even convince him to let me stay. [image error]
Hot Male Monday Bodies, Beds & Baths
[image error]
(him) Come back to bed I'm not through with you yet.
(her) Good, 'cause I'm not through with you either.
[image error]
(him) If I asked you to stay,
would you go?
(her) Well, not at the moment.
He won't have to ask me twice. Here are a few Monday men worth staying in bed late with and getting to work late for . . . or perhaps you could skip work altogether.
[image error]
(him) Mmm. You're worth every minute
I've waited for you.
(her) Scoot over and I'll prove it.
[image error]
(him) I don't want to play this guitar.
I want to play with you.
(her) Like I'd argue with that...
[image error]
(him) The cold shower didn't work. Only you can help.
(her) I think I can handle it...
