To Reiterate, Repetitively, One More Time

Make new friends,

Jaclyn & Kelby!

But keep the old,

Jumbos, Dolores and I!

You know that one is silver and the other gold, right?

Well, my silver friend has only been alive as long as I have known my gold friend!   Guess Dolores and I almost qualify for platinum!  I guess I must add, for those of you who may not have gone to Tufts, that the mascot is Jumbo the elephant, this is not a fat joke!

Easy as Pie….er….Cake!

Got a new favorite recipe I just had to share.  Saw it on Facebook so I can only take partial credit as I tweaked it a bit.  If you invented this – go ahead and take the credit!

Easy as Pie…Cake!

1 boxed Angel Food Cake Mix + 1 can apple pie filling (add cinnamon if desired)

That is freaking all.  Preheat oven to 350 – mix ingred.  Even tho the box says not to grease the pan for angel food cake – I lightly sprayed my 9×13 glass dish with baking spray before adding mixture.  My apple pie filling did not include cinnamon so I added a dash.  The recipe I saw said bake for 20 minutes – that was not enough – I say 25-30.

I think I will always have these ingred on hand for a last-minute treat – it is that easy and that good!

To Blog or Not To Blog

I have almost blogged 365 days in a row.

Wow.

Lots of haiku – some introspection – I believe a cinquain or two.

I think at the end of the week I will take the weekend off.  After 365 blogs, I will deserve it, no?  If you miss me, let me know!  Then I need to decide whether or not to continue to blog every day or only a few days a week.  Hmmmm.  Has been quite the discipline to write every day.  Just need to decide whether or not to blog every day.

I will be interested to see what you think!  Thanks for going on this journey with me.  I wonder what year number two will bring?  Just a few more to go to complete the 365!

I have no idea what this picture has to do with this blog. Except, I suppose they look bored!

From RESKU

Anyone can buy

a dog but only someone

special can rescue.

We earn our wings when

we save another pet’s life:

angel’s who rescue.

Happy Gotcha Day to Bessie, formerly homeless, then of House of Puddles, now of Fredericksburg, VA!  Got us some heaven points today and placed a dog in her furever home – feels darn good!
