The Gift That Keeps On Giving
So a lot of people have been asking how they can help us financially during this difficult time. I have been getting gifts and folks have been setting up auctions and raffles and in general being generous and wonderful to us.
Then my husband reminded me about ‘the gift that keeps on giving’. We rep Flint River Ranch dog and cat food. It is really the finest diet around. No recalls. Not ever and never will be.
We get a cut of everything you buy. Has not been enough in the past to do more than contribute to our pet food bill as we seem to adopt every furry face that drools in our general direction! But people do make a very good living selling this great food and some even are able to pay their vet bills on what they earn!!!!
If you have been thinking about a change in what you feed your dogs and cats – now is a great time to try Flint River Ranch and help us out a bit while you do it! Click on the link to check it out. If you have any interest in distributing FRR, we are all over that too!

Just Say NO To Drugs
Just say NO to drugs.
Lavender Essential Oil,
massage and good thoughts.
Yeah. That is my new theme. I think we had some drug psychosis last week. Hannah is healing well altho not walking yet. She has really turned the corner on her anxiousness and is in no pain. We are getting some low tail wags. She can stand for a few seconds. Power of positive thought and prayer, a little essential oil, homemade chicken soup (which she LOVES) and lots of patience and support from friends. The vets did their job. Now it is our turn to help Hannah heal.

My Big Fat Sucky Day
Hannah Lee Gurl Dawg whined almost non-stop today. Xanax on board. Tramadol on board. Rymadil on board. No pain going on besides the pain of being confined to an ex-pen and – oh yeah – not being able to walk.
So hard not to be able to reason with her or to be able to comfort her.
I am hoping to soon write her whole story. In the meantime – she had a hemilaminectomy. She should walk again. Just could take several weeks or months.
DoG help us. Friends are being wonderful. Hannah is impatient. I am mainly just very sad and beginning to feel a lot older than my 53 years – but that is from the lifting and walking with her in a sling.
5 day old incision!
Pretty remarkable for 5 days post surgery – huh?
Kinda cool her skin in the same 2 colors of her fur – huh?!

Hannah Haiku
I will walk again.
Why? Cuz I hate the ex pen
and love my parents!
Post surgical, unhappy Hannah Lee!

Hannah
Hannah is home. She has had happier days, as have we.
Her Hemilaminectomy is complete. Looks good on the outside. Hope it looks good on the inside too. She has no movement in the back legs yet.
We hope, we pray – I blog but briefly.
Thanks for the prayers.

Down Dog
My Hannah Lee Gurl Dawg went down in the back Saturday.
Modern Medicine supposedly saved her in the wee hours Sunday.
She is home and cannot walk.
This is supposed to be temporary – the not walking, that is.
The ding in the pocket is permanent. Well – maybe temporary as the Basset Community is raising funds and selling stuff and supporting us with unconditional love. Lots more details on Facebook, should you care to look
I did not ask but I am receiving. Hannah Lee did not ask for this either.
Thank DoG for drugs – may she feel no pain. But more importantly, may she walk again.
