On the anniversary of Jamie’s death, the appearance of his estranged twin brother, Trey, leaves Dillan wondering what other secrets her prefect fiancé was hiding. When Trey learns of his brother’s death, Dillan takes pity on him and gives him a place to stay.
Trey’s erratic behavior and a series of suspicious phone calls lead Dillan to believe that Trey knows more about the circumstances surrounding Jamie’s death than he’s letting on. With all leads exhausted and Jamie’s murderer still on the loose, Trey is Dillan’s last hope for finding the truth.
Sometimes the truth hurts… but in Dillan’s case it could kill her.

Now on Tour Apocalypse Rising by Eric Swett and a Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the first stop on the virtual book tour for my debut novel, Apocalypse Rising .
My name is Eric Swett and I hope you will visit each of the tour stops and check out the great blogs we will be visiting.
This is my first time being the author on blog tour, I have been a participant a number of times. I write reviews of the books I read when I am not writing my own novels and I have become an avid fan and participant of the indie book revolution.
Apocalypse Rising is actually the third book I have written, but it is the first I have published...so far.
Apocalypse Rising is an Urban Fantasy that deals with questions of belief and faith in a world where Angels, Demons, goblins, elves and wizards are very real, even if the people in their cars and offices are blissfully unaware of them. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but it does not make the unknown any less real.

Can you tell readers a little bit about yourself and what inspired to write in this particular genre?
I’m Bisi and I started writing when I was eight, but started novels when I was twelve. I was inspired by the Sweet Valley High series and even though I didn’t live in the states at the time, I wrote some really fantastic fan fiction (I won’t show it to you ever, but trust me it’s wonderful).
I write Romance now and I’m currently working on a Young Adult Paranormal Romance series called Wisteria. My inspiration came from watching a wide range of zombie and post- apocalyptic films and shows such as 28 days later, Jericho and Logan’s run (yes Logan’s run the series).
What inspired you to write this book?
For Wisteria, I wanted to write a story about a normal girl with no special abilities who is able to do extraordinary things in a really messed up a world.
I also wanted to include parents who are central to the problem she’s trying to overcome opposed clueless bystanders.
Please tell us more about your latest release.
My latest novel (and first novel) is called Wisteria and it is the first book in a series for four. It tells the story of a sixteen year old Wisteria Kuti. A girl trying to survive with her family in post-apocalyptic England overrun with zombies. However, it seems a lot of people around them know more about what really caused the zombie outbreak then they are saying.
She soon meets a teenager Bach who knows her even though neither of them have met before. Bach, who is immune to the virus, is able to control the zombies, but also has another agenda.
Do you have a special formula for creating characters' names? Do you try to match a name with a certain meaning to attributes of the character or do you search for names popular in certain time periods or regions?
I try to be consistent with naming characters in a book. For Wisteria I used a lot of Andorran names for the Family, so there was some logic to it. I also to make sure the names are easy to pronounce. Wisteria, her mother and brother are Yoruba, so I was careful to pick simple Yoruba names like Kuti (although Wisteria’s middle name is a bit tricky).
Was one of your characters more challenging to write than another?
I found Bach a particularly hard character to write because he really is a jerk sometimes. I had completely to rewrite him at one point because I wanted to kill him.
Is there a character that you enjoyed writing more than any of the others?
I love writing about anyone in the Family (except Bach). The Family are a race who seem to observing the destruction of the earth with twisted pleasure. They were fun to write because they were so different in their thinking as well as their view of right and wrong.
With the book being part of a series, are there any character or story arcs, that readers jumping in somewhere other than the first book, need to be aware of? Can these books be read as stand alones?
There are two major archs that run through the series and are central to the story, so it might be hard to read the books out of order.
Do any of your characters have similar characteristics of yourself in them and what are they?Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? How do you deal with it?
I normally get writer’s block when I’m starting a book. I find the only think that works is to continue writing. If I can I’ll change location and that helps too.
Do you have any weird writing quirks or rituals?
I have never , ever, ever, written in the bathroom
Where is your favorite place to read? Do you have a cozy corner or special reading spot?
I love reading in bed late at night with all the lights off (It helps that I have an e-reader with alight).
What can readers expect next from you?
I am getting the second book in the Wisteria Series ready for release and am writing Wisteria book 3.
Where can readers find you on the web?
https://www.facebook.com/Wisteriabookshttp://bisileyton.wordpress.com/wisteria/
Would you like to leave readers with a little teaser or excerpt from the book?
Wrapping her arms around herself, she moved away from him. Once again, humiliated and feeling foolish. “Goodnight, Bach!” She strode angrily to the side of the roof in order to climb down.He grabbed her and held her backThe guy came here just to tease her, yet again! Didn’t he know he was hurting her? Didn’t he care? “I’m tired of all this nonsense. I’m actually tired and need some sleep. I’m done with this. All of this!” She should’ve left the roof when she saw him appear. “Let go, so I can go.”“Wisteria, it is not that.” Exhaling heavily, he released her. “My people could kill you if they knew I wanted you.”This wasn’t at all what she’d expected him to say. “What?”“I am in love with you. I do not know why, but I am. And it is selfish, because I just want you for myself.” Sadness filled his eyes as he spoke.“Why would they do that to me?”“Because you are human and because we see humans as Terran, or dirt people.”“And you believe that too? So why are you here, living among us, if we’re so disgusting?”“You are not disgusting. You are beautiful.” Rubbing his temples, he seemed troubled and bewildered. “But I chose Earth, because I came here as a child. Your people treated me so badly in the past. When I learned about the Nero disease, I wanted to see your world die.” He paused. “You were right when you said there was something wrong with me.

Now on Tour Operation Endgame by Christi Snow

The Characters from When the Mission Ends Trilogy…
Jake & Cassie are the hero/heroine of Operation: Endgame , book #1 in the trilogy.
At the beginning of book one, we meet the Three Musketeers: twins, Chris & Cassie and their best friend, Jake. Brought together by a love of the military and playing at being soldiers, these friends have a life-long friendship, but that is tested when Chris’s jet is shot down and he is killed. Chris’s death has a lasting effect on the entire cast of characters throughout the entire series.
So let’s meet the characters from the series:
· Chris- Chris’s jet was shot down over Columbia. He was injured, but alive after the crash. Unfortunately he was captured and tortured for 18 hours before he died. (twin to Cassie, brother to Colton) Physically: 6’0”, dirty blond hair, when off-duty had a bit of scruff, lean muscular build, blue eyes
· Cassie-She’s a military history professor at Texas Tech University. A year before the book, Operation: Endgame takes place, she acted as a consultant on a videogame called Endgame. She had a cameo appearance on the video and now appears to have a stalker because of that. (twin to Chris, sister to Colton) Physically: 5’8”, long red hair, runner’s build, blue eyes
· Jake- Jake is a PJ (pararescue jumper) in the Air Force. Unbeknownst to Cassie (because of operation security), he was part of the PJ team sent in to recover Chris. When weather moved in, their rescue was delayed and Chris subsequently died. To say Jake feels guilty is putting it mildly, but when he gives into his grief and passion after the funeral with Cassie, it sends him into a downward spiral. But now he has to move past that to help keep Cassie safe from her stalker. Physically: 6’1”, fit and tan, blond with military cut and green eyes.
· Colton- Chris and Cassie’s older brother. When their parents died in a plane crash, he was 10 years old and they were 6 years old. They went to live with their single elderly grandfather who they’d never met before. As a result, Colton became more like a father to the twins than older brother. He’s bossy and overbearing, but he’s just trying to take care of his loved ones. Physically: 6’3”, extremely muscular, dark hair, navy blue eyes
· Penelope- Cassie’s friend. Penelope owns the local bookstore and is a yoga instructor on campus. She’s a free-spirit and is always the life of the party. Physically: 5’9”, long wavy blonde hair, jade green eyes
· Julie- Cassie’s other friend and the complete opposite of Penelope. She has a bit of OCD…she’s the list-maker of the group. She is a physical therapist and teaches Krav Maga, as a form of women’s self-defense. Physically: 5’3”, very petite, but well-endowed, dark hair cut into pixie cut, hazel with gold flecks eyes.

Guest Blog with Willow Rose

Where did the inspiration to Savage come from? I get that question a lot and it is so hard to answer in just a few sentences. Because where do inspiration come from? I for one have no idea. I get it from everything and everyone around me. From people I meet, from articles I read and movies I watch. For me a book starts with the characters. The characters and their story come to me. I like to say that they "pop up" in my head. That is the best way I can describe it. The characters are just there all of a sudden with their backgrounds and problems and then they start to do stuff and talk to other people and soon there is a whole story that I simply have to tell or else I will burst.
The main character Christian in Savage is somewhat inspired by my husband. Back in '83 when he was 19 years old he was sent to Florida by his parents to live with a very wealthy family just like Christian in Savage. My husband's experiences coming from a small country Denmark to the big USA in the 80'ies are very similar to those of Christian, yet they do not share backgrounds. Christian has lost his mother in a young age and that has had a huge impact on who he is and why he acts the way he does. He matures a lot throughout the book and love changes him from being a selfish self-centered boy into a young man.
The female characters that Christian meets in the haunting house next door are my favorites in this book. They are so innocent and childlike yet very wise and magical. I like to say that they are inspired by my daughters and I have also dedicated the book to them. I have two young girls of four and six years and then I have a wonderful step-daughter who is twenty-three. Those three combined makes this world a magical place. As does the female characters in Savage. I simply adore them and I know everybody else will too.
They are so lovable. I have a hard time letting go of them and think I will write many books about them. First of all I will write three books about the main character Christian and his great love Aiyana. It is sort of a family-saga really. In the first book he is in his twenties and so is she. In the second book they have kids of their own and are in their thirties with all the problems and seriousness that comes with being that age. In the last book they will have young teenagers and face completely new challenges.
I am also planning on doing a book about Aiyana, the magic spirit-filled Native American girl that he falls hopelessly in love with. About her and when she first discovers who and what she really is. I might also do a book about her sister who does telekinesis and their grand-mother who predicts natural disasters. I love those characters so much that they each deserve their own book. Sometimes I love them so much that they themselves become an inspiration to me.

Nine Lives: The Fifth Highland Home NovelShari RichardsonHighland Home, Book 5
Genre: Young Adult ParanormalPublisher: Astral Plane Publishing
Date of Publication: September 2012ISBN: 978-1461070092
Book Trailer: http://youtu.be/5vjPdfSuy0I
Book Description:
I felt a familiar ripple and knew it was too late for me. I saw her, so tiny, so perfect and I knew that I could die content. When Xavier admitted his love for me, I was complete.
Kerry Cote's story may sound familiar, but it's not. Sure there are a lot of unmarried, pregnant teenagers in the world, but how many of them know the child they carry is a miracle? How many have a vampire body guard? How many are alone because the mother of us all and the father of all vampires has a jealous daughter who covets the baby's father? Kerry must survive to bring her child into the world, for if she fails, humanity may not survive.
Books 1-4 Highland Home Series

I should have known when he walked into my life that things would never be the same. Hadn't I dreamed of him and the things he'd done before I was born? If only he weren't so fascinating, so beautiful, so much more than any other guy. Maybe then I could walk away.
Mairin Cote is a magnet for weird. Her dreams come true, she can see auras and her mother is in love with an angel. Now the monsters are finding her too. Vampires, demigods and werepanthers have flocked to this small town girl who must find a way to keep her family safe, love the man of her dreams, and navigate the shark-infested waters of Highland Home High School.

My first kiss was going to be my last, but it was worth it. His cool lips, his sweet taste, they were my salvation. I would never regret it, no matter what happened.
Mairin Cote thought loving a vampire was hard, but losing him to others of his kind was worse. When the death toll in East Hampton points to a rampaging vampire, the vampires and werepanthers must form an uneasy alliance to stop the destruction. To save the love of her life, Mairin must decide if living life without Mathias is worth risking an eternity with him.

The pain was sharp and deep, but it was nothing compared to the anguish in Xavier's eyes. I wanted to tell him I would be okay, but the words wouldn't come. The pain kept them at bay and even if I could have spoken, I knew the words would be a lie.
Kerry Cote has a pretty normal life for a teenager. Of course normal is a relative term. Her sister dates a vampire and her boyfriend turns furry once a month, but that's not the problem. It isn't until she meets the father of the man she loves that her whole existence narrows to a mere seven days.

Eternity. How many times since Mathias came into my life had I considered it? Had I not taken risks that would have left us together for eternity? What I hadn't expected was to have the choice taken from us. Vampires are independent creatures and the old ones definitely don't like being bound to a human. When an ancient vampire comes to Highland Home bent on Mairin's destruction so he can free himself from his bond to her, Mathias is forced to choose between what he is and who he wishes to be.

Shari Richardson holds a master's degree in English Education and has spent much of her life teaching students the joy of reading and writing. Her love of writing began when she was in elementary school and has carried through her entire adult life. Shari lives in Pennsylvania with her two Chihuahuas.
