When Lucessa Sarcona awakes from a recurring dream, she has no idea her life is about to be turned upside down. A stranger, familiar to her dreams, shows up in the flesh, and Lucessa knows she’s either crazy or experiencing something not of this world.
A war ensues between three demigod brothers. One, trained to rule Erebos, is violently replaced. One forced to return to his homeland and lead the dream-gods of the Oneiroi. And one is charged with the impossible task of protecting Lucessa. How is she linked to the Oneiroi? Why do two brothers seek to keep her hidden and protected? And how does another plan to use her against the two demigods who love her?
Will Lucessa’s dream man have the courage to claim her as his own or will he bow to the command of another, forsaking the one he loves?
Only in Her Dreams is a modern spin on a Greek legend--the new direction of Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, moving from angels, demons, vampires, and witches and toward the realm of demigods.
Excerpt #3: Chapter 8
Darius preferred to let his brothers believe his powers had indeed been stripped, gone with his banishment. That’s where his deal with the Dark One came in handy. He’d had a link to the girl for years now, bringing a dark presence to her dreams-her nightmares. Closing his eyes he concentrated on the dark side. A thrill coursed through his body every time he traveled to this forbidden land. He would lead these people, his type of people. His eyes opened and he stood in front of a rusted, black iron gate. It parted to allow him entrance. He proceeded down the fog-ridden path toward the castle in the distance. It was an imposing structure covered by black tinted ivy. Everything in this place held a black tint; the streets, the building, and most of all—the people. Soon-to-be, his people. As he approached the massive fortress, the doors glided open of their own accord. The interior was as dark and fog laden as the exterior, dim candles shown upon the rug laden floor he moved across. “The Dark One will see you in the billiards room.”Darius stiffened and stopped his progress, turning toward the voice behind him. No one in sight. What the fuck? He straightened his shoulders and continued through the foyer and down the hall leading to the billiards room. Again, doors parted and he entered. The Dark One lounged against the far wall, cue stick in hand. He studied the freshly racked pool table. “You’re in time for a game. Grab a cue, Darius.”“Yes, My Lord.” Darius retrieved a cue stick from the wall and turned toward the table. The Dark One leaned across it, aiming for the racked balls. “I hear you have good news for me,” he said as his stick connected with the white ball. On impact, the colored and striped balls rolled toward the corner pockets. Darius watched in awe. Every ball found its home in a hole, ending the game before it start. What the fuck?! he thought to himself, for the second time in less than ten minutes.“Well?”“Yes. My informant gave us accurate information about where the girl lives,” Darius said.“Have you confirmed this for yourself?” The man stood straight and returned his stick to the rack on the wall. He faced Darius across the table, hands on his hips. The man was intimidating, the thing that nightmares were made of. “Of course.” I’m not an idiot.“Well?”“Well…what?” Darius asked. Standing around a pool table, in such a casual setting should be relaxing, but he was on edge.“Why isn’t Erebos mine yet?”Good question. How to answer that without getting his ass set on fire, he wondered. “I’m working on it.”“Work faster. I’m in need of a new home, this one’s going to shit.” The Dark One stared at Darius, no hint of a joke on his face.“I don’t plan to drag this out longer than necessary.”

Book Description:
America, 1922. Ten years have passed since The Lines went up, dividing the States and the world into isolated pockets. The oligarchs are gangsters, titans of industry, monsters – the secret masters of mankind. They have endured a decade of cold war stalemate – but with forces equally weighted, the life of one man might be enough to change the fate of all men.
US Federal Marshal Clay Falk must bring Jack Nylund to New York. For the Marshal and his deputies the financial rewards are enormous, but in a landscape of shifting loyalties Falk is soon made a counter-offer he can’t refuse. The war can be ended in a single night – the price is the honour of a legend and the life of a god.
Private Investigator Walter Black has no idea his latest missing person’s case is the balance on which the world rests. Jack Nylund’s sister is dying and Walter must track Jack’s scent across America, through ruined lives, secret addictions and unforgettable pasts. The enemy he must overcome is one he’s all too familiar with. The cost of his failure would be the death of Jack Nylund

Early LifeDavid attended Cockenzie and Port Seton Primary School where he learned to spell and write his name in cursive. The value of these once impressive skills has been substantially undermined by subsequent technological developments.
InfluencesHis favourite authors include Iain Banks, George V. Higgins, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
Other InterestsIn his teens and early twenties he used to write poetry. People shouldn't try to find it; none of it was good.
Professional WorkIn 2002 he graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Marketing Management. His honours dissertation asserted that there was a bright future ahead for DVD rental stores. Over time this assertion proved to be both wrong and stupid. (He is not giving back the degree).

Book Description:
When Lou travels to Scotland, she's a mess. She is twenty-six, unemployed, and unsure of herself. It doesn't help that she's traveling with Tammy, her best friend, who is everything Lou is not.
At first, the trip pushes Lou towards the brink of depression, but then she meets Brian, a handsome local tour guide. When Brian tells the tourists about the countless witches burned in Scotland, Lou starts to listen. And when she discovers information about Isobel Key, one of the victims of the seventeenth century, Lou finds renewed purpose.
She sets out to learn the truth of the condemned witch, but she isn't prepared for the knowledge that waits for her. Lou must face her demons if she has any hope of righting the wrongs of the past.

CHAPTER ONE The Burning of Isobel Key
“I quit!” Lou’s words echoed around the checkout line, and customers craned their necks to see what was happening. Red in the face, Lou looked down at her register in embarrassment. Her manager patted her shoulder. “Let’s go back in the office to talk about this.” He turned, expecting her to follow. “No!” Louder than she’d intended, Lou stood her ground. “You heard me. I’ve had enough of this store.” As she spoke, she tossed her nametag on the counter. An errant brown curl flipped over her eye, and she pushed it away. Under the shocked gaze of her manager and the curious stares of a snake-like line of holiday shoppers, Lou fled. Once she was outside in the bitter December wind, she headed for the nearest T stop, acting out of habit more than conscious thought. She’d walked this easy route between the bookstore and the T for the past four years, and her body took over while her mind churned. She had a college degree, for Pete’s sake! Cum laude from Duke University had landed her a job selling books and stationary to the snobby suburbanites outside of Boston. Sighing, she paid her fare and took her seat on the train bound for the city center. Suddenly, the weight of what she had done hit her, and she buried her face in her hands. What was she thinking, quitting her job like that? Lou replayed the afternoon in her mind. Nothing had happened today that hadn’t happened a thousand other times. Maybe it was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back: four years of answering bizarre questions and customers who were always right had finally taken its toll on her psyche. But now what would she do? Lou wasn’t a person who acted on impulse: she was cautious and considered her options. And now she was unemployed the week before Christmas. Lou slumped in her seat. Unless she figured something out, and fast, she might have to move back in with her family. It wasn’t that Lou had anything against her family, not really: her parents had adopted her shortly after her birth, and they’d never made her feel like anything but their cherished only child. But Lou was almost 27, and it had never been part of her plan to live at home after college. Part of her plan: that was funny, she thought. It sounded like she’d ever had a plan. Sure, she always knew that she’d attend college after high school. With parents who had both made careers in the medical field, Lou had never doubted that she’d follow their lead and soak up as much education as she could. Money wasn’t an issue, so when she turned 18 and Duke University accepted her, she thought it would be ideal. She moved to North Carolina and spent four years studying the liberal arts, unable to decide on a tangible career path. Nothing seemed to fit, and even though she earned her degree, she didn’t really know what she was going to do after college. It was lucky that her best friend needed a roommate in Boston, Lou mused, or she might have ended up back with her parents four years ago. Shaking her head, Lou glanced up as the train rolled to a stop. Standing unsteadily, she tried to ignore the raging pity party in her mind. As the doors whooshed open, the cold winter air assaulted her again. For the first time she realized that she’d left her coat behind in the employee lounge. Hesitating for a moment, Lou considered taking the train back and getting her things. “There’s no going back,” she whispered. Even the excuse of her coat might be enough to put her back in her manager’s office, begging for her job back. Shivering, Lou hurried up the stairs and out of the tunnel. The old black light posts were swathed in candy cane stripes, and every window she passed displayed some holiday decorations. What a time to be unemployed, Lou thought sourly as she buzzed the doorman at her apartment. Unlocking the door on the seventeenth floor, Lou called out nervously, “Hello? Tammy?” Her roommate didn’t answer, and Lou felt relieved. She wasn’t ready to face anyone yet, not until she’d figured out her next step. Checking the kitschy clock on the wall of the hallway, Lou realized it was only a quarter after four. Tammy wouldn’t be home ‘til seven or later. Relaxing, Lou stacked her boots neatly in the hall closet and headed to the kitchen. The sleek, modern kitchen was a mess: remnants from Tammy’s last party were still strewn across the stainless countertops. Sighing, Lou plugged in the electric kettle and searched for a mug. While she waited for the kettle to whistle, she started to tidy up. She loaded the dishwasher carelessly and overfilled the soap container, but when she was done the room looked much more presentable. Satisfied, Lou added a packet of hot chocolate to the mug. After a moment’s hesitation, she stirred a hearty dollop of vanilla vodka into the chipped Disney World souvenir. Leaning against the counter, Lou studied the apartment. The kitchen was open to the rest of the space, and from her vantage point, Lou could see the living room and the stairs that led to her lofted bedroom. She sighed, wondering how much longer she’d get to enjoy this apartment with her best friend. Her parents had helped her out with bills from time to time, but Lou felt certain that all assistance of this kind would stop if they found out she was no longer employed. “What’s the matter with me?” She wondered out loud, tears in her eyes. Taking her mug, she crossed to the living room and flopped down on the fluffy red sofa. She began flipping aimlessly through the stack of magazines on the coffee table. Suddenly, her cell phone buzzed in her pocket. Glancing at the cracked screen, Lou saw that it was Tammy calling. Sighing, she flipped the phone open. “Hello?” Tammy’s voice was crackly but excited. “Lou? Guess what? You’ll never guess what happened!” Lou sighed, annoyed. “What?” “They gave me an account!” Tammy squealed in delight. “Did you hear?” “Tammy, that’s amazing!” “And the best part is, guess where the account is based? Guess!” Not wanting to play games, Lou asked, “Would you just tell me?” “Scotland! Isn’t that awesome?” Stunned speechless, Lou just stared at the phone. “Lou! Louisa! Are you still there?” She shook herself. “Yes, I’m here. Tammy, that’s great!” “I know! They want me to go over there next week to check things out and meet everybody.” “But isn’t next week Christmas? What about your family?” Tammy laughed. “They won’t care. But Lou, wouldn’t it be perfect to spend Christmas in Scotland?” Lou agreed that it would be. She ignored the small bubble of jealousy starting to form in her heart. “Tammy, I’m really excited for you.” “For us, you mean.” “What are you talking about?” Tammy’s voice broke into a garbled stream of words. “Tammy!” Lou shouted. “I can’t hear you.” “In the T…we’ll talk… home…” The cell phone made a crunching sound and the call dropped. Lou looked at her phone and leaned back into the couch cushions. Wasn’t it just like fate to give Tammy something so wonderful, she mused, when she was so miserable? Sniffing, Lou drained her cup of spiked cocoa and headed upstairs to lie down.

Anwyn Rose is descended from a long line of powerful witches yet she can barely cast spells young witchlings have mastered. She has one functioning witch gift, the power of knowing, which she puts to good use as a Detective on Flint’s Preternatural Investigation Team (aka the P.I.T. Crew)
It’s a new era in Vehicle City, supernaturals are running the town.
The P.I.T has their hands full with paranormal crimes. Top priority is a serial killer, who appears to be a vampire, draining young women in the city.
Anwyn is on the case with her sexy partner Detective Mike Malone.
Complicating things is her relationship Galen, a vampire who looks more guilty than innocent, although Anwyn trusts her instincts even if her power is on the fritz.
Mysterious spells, compromising situations, and a possible demon on the loose make it hard to focus on the case, but Anwyn has to make things right before the human police execute the wrong vampire.
Hex and the Single Witch contains magick, a little bit of mystery, a lot of supernatural mayhem, and a sexy love triangle that will leave you wanting more.

RedemptionBy JR Turner Blurb:
Half-angel Savannah Mantas smells the sulfuric stench of wrath when it enters her city, Iron Point. Resurrected by the archangel Michael, she’s hunting for redemption and half-demon Nico Montenegro is her prey. He comes from the Fringes, the border between the city and the toxic wasteland beyond. When they meet, Nico tells her a story, one of genocide and confiscated bodies. Not revenge, but justice is his purpose and his target is the most admired family in the world–Commander Hathaway and his daughter.
Hathaway’s soldiers are slaughtering Fringers and secretly feeding them to Revenants, mutants who survived the bio-bombing of 2120. They have a twisted idea they can train these clever creatures like dogs and keep them out of the city long enough to mobilize an evacuation for the wealthy and well-connected. Savannah knows better. Revenants are what killed her. When they attack, the last of humankind may be wiped out completely. Stopping Hathaway might just be enough to gain her redemption and escape a hellish fate.

Rebel Teen Fairy Costume Review from AnytimeCostumes.com

I have two kids that always want new costumes plus my husband and I who need costumes for the annual Flint Vampire Ball.
My daughter found this great Rebel Teen Fairy Costume at AnytimeCostumes.com
I love it, think it's cute and totally my daughter's style but in over protective daddy fashion my husband thinks it's too revealing my his daughter.

We live in Michigan so chances are it's going to be cold on Halloween and any other day that she might be attending a Halloween event so she'll probably end up wearing leggings and a long sleeve shirt under it. So all his fussing will be completely pointless. She tried this on in a warm house when it was still in the 70s outside.
So one kid down, one more to go. My little guy can't make up his mind- I want to be Spiderman, I want to be Thor, I want to be Captain America....
Thankfully Anytime Costumes has a great selection of Halloween Costumes or new costumes for any time- with plenty of new styles for 2012 and lots of little boy's costumes to choose from. Now if he could only make up his mind we'd be all set.
Well I still have to find something for me too but I'm always the pickiest and hardest to shop for :-)

The Girl on the Cover
One of the most important things I want readers to know about The Elementals is how the series should be categorized. In this day and age, where what we see determines how we react, it’s easy to make assumptions. When I first published Book One on Amazon, I noticed something within days. Despite the categories I chose for the novel (Fantasy & Magic and Paranormal), it came up in searches for African American and Urban Fiction. I imagine this is because of the cover and I can see how easy it is to make that mistake.
But the one thing I will continue to express is, while Elemental is about being different, it isn’t about a difference you can see. In the series, each girl is unique. Each family situation, ethnicity, ability and personality is vastly different from the other. But it takes just one thing to make them almost exactly alike.
In order to give you an opportunity to get to know Baltimore (the girl not the face on the cover) she’s answered a few questions.
1. What is your theme song?
Some days it’s Raise Your Glass. Other days it’s Jar of Hearts.
2. How would you describe yourself in four words?
Unlucky. Bored. Resilient. Trapped.
3. Who is your celebrity crush?
Danny, from CSI New York. Don’t ask me why, but I think he’s hot. Bridgett thinks that’s gross.
4. What’s your favorite book?
Ten Apples on Top. Dad read it to me all the time when I was a kid and it was the first one I read on my own. I used to try to count all the apples on that page after they bump into the apple cart. And I always thought their facial expressions were hilarious.
5. Have you ever told a lie?
Sometimes I think I’m a walking lie. I lie to myself about how happy I am in Miner. I keep most of my family stuff from my friend and boyfriend. And now that all of this Elemental stuff is out in the open, I’m sure I’ll be lying to a lot more people, for the sake of appearing normal—and keeping certain enemies at bay.
6. Do you have a best friend? What’s your favorite thing about them?I have two best friends. One here in Utah and the other lives in New York now. Bridgett makes living in Miner bearable. She’s always been sweet and kind and she gets me. She doesn’t care about my parents’ weirdness. She kind of likes it. Ramon gets me too. We grew up together so my parents’ stuff doesn’t bother him.
7. Describe the perfect date in four words.
San Francisco. Docks. Chowder. Rain.

Book Description:
Baltimore Land is a typical teenager whose parents embarrass her completely. She wants nothing to do with her family's beliefs and is convinced their silly rituals only exist to make her life miserable. All she wants is to be normal, but the fact that her parents are witches seriously messes with her social life.
She's doing alright, with a boyfriend who seems to like her just the way she is and an awesome best friend who is fascinated by her lifestyle, but she's not the most popular girl in her small Utah town. In fact, she's kind of the town freak.
When her boyfriend's ex tries to win him back, Baltimore's emotions get the best of her and she soon realizes her parents' beliefs aren't so silly after all--they're just the beginning.
Amazon

From a very young age, Kelbian loved to read. She found herself engulfed in novels by Janette Oke and L.M. Montgomery, but never seemed to find herself in the pages. At the age of 11 she declared she would write stories that had to do with her own experience, and be the youngest author in history. But life was full of baseball, homework, best friends and boys.
Decades later, having studied writing in college and pursued it as a career, Kelbian decided it was time to get back to her dream. She started writing again, joined a critique group and wrote two novels. Then in March 2011, along came Elemental. This time life's distractions couldn't shake the feeling that the world needed to hear Baltimore's story. At least those who would listen! A year later, Kelbian is excited to introduce Elemental to the world with hopes someone will love the story as much as she does.
Kelbian lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with her two children.

Interview with Adam Sifre

Can you tell readers a little bit about yourself and what inspired to write in this particular genre?
I have three great kids, one ex, and enjoy playing on the internet. I’m a guy who likes to write. Well, that’s not entirely true. I like to hear people tell me how much they enjoy my writing. If I could get that without actually writing anything, I’d be happy. My current novel started off as a piece of flash fiction, a thousand word story about a zombie who’s just trying to get through a day. It was well received and I got the idea to expand it into a novel, but I didn’t want to spend pages and pages and pages setting up a traditional story arc.
Instead, I wrote a series of chapters designed to read like individual pieces of flash fiction. Each chapter tells it’s own story while at the same time contributing to the overall plot of the novel. You can pick any chapter at random (almost any chapter) and get a complete story that stands alone. It’s a relatively unique structure designed to appeal to readers on the run who want their entertainment quick. “I’ve Been Deader” is designed to appeal to the person who’s been raised on the internet and wants what they want when they want it.
Please tell us about your latest release.
“I’ve Been Deader” is a novel told from several points of view, There’s Fred, a zombie trying to find love, his son, and a small meteorite that is residing in the crushed head of an undead mailman. There’s Jon, a likeable serial killer who feels like a kid in a candy store when the zombie apocalypse hits. Finally there’s Timmy, Fred’s still-living son who is desperate to find a way to save his dad. The story blends horror and comedy and neither gets in the way of the other. It ain’t bad.
Was one of your characters more challenging to write than another?
Aleta, Fred’s love interest, was difficult for me. For reasons that I won’t go into here, I didn’t want to give her an internal or external voice. This meant I had to show her to the world by her actions and how others saw her. That was a bit of a challenge.
Is there a character that you enjoyed writing more than any of the others?
I loved writing the scenes with Fred in them. He’s the main focal point where I found it easiest to blend comedy and horror, depending on what the story needed. Besides, to create a zombie that stays true to his undead, ravenous nature and still elicit sympathy from the reader is quite a feat, and I’m proud of it.
What is your favorite scene from the book? Could you share a little bit of it, without spoilers of course?
There’s a chapter called “Dead Divas” that I love. A character named “Sunshine” is forced to search a building for painkillers and other drugs, and finds himself in a bar with transvestite entertainers. That chapter’s a corker.
What is the most interesting thing you have physically done for book related research purposes?
I learned that in order to write, you have to wake up in the morning and write. That continues to be a challenge for me.
Can you tell readers a little bit about the world building in the book/series? How does this world differ from our normal world?
“I’ve Been Deader” takes place in this world after a zombie apocalypse. I tried to keep the world as real and common as possible for juxtaposition purposes. For example, the story opens up with Fred taking stock of himself in a bathroom on the Vince Lombardi rest area, off the New Jersey Turnpike. I mean, you can’t get more depressingly real than that. There’s key scenes at Newark Airport, the Camden, NJ Aquarium, the Eisenhower Tunnels in Colorado, IKEA, Chinese restaurants – all the hot travel spots.
With the book being part of a series, are there any character or story arcs, that readers jumping in somewhere other than the first book, need to be aware of? Can these books be read as stand alones?
All my books, and most of my chapters, can be read as stand alone.
Do any of your characters have similar characteristics of yourself in them and what are they?
Yes. Fred and I both have fond memories of being younger, slimmer and alive.
Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? How do you deal with it?
I go get something to eat, maybe cause a bit of trouble on the internet and then just write.
Do you find it difficult to write in multiple genres?
Not really. The key for me is reading several books in a genre I want to write in. Once I get a feel for what readers expect, I can usually write to meet their expectations and at the same time give them something they didn’t expect.
When did you consider yourself a writer?
I wrote a few poems for a beautiful woman and they worked. That was all the incentive I needed.
What are your guilty pleasures in life?
I watch the Bachelorette and Project Runway. But you can’t tell ANYONE. Also, I enjoyed the movie “The Joy Luck Club.”
Other than writing, what are some of your interests, hobbies or passions in life?
I love playing tennis and reading about the American Civil War.

Book Description:
Being a zombie is no picnic and it's one hell of a handicap in the romance department when you fall in love with a 'breather':
Aleta is a breather with short blonde hair and brown eyes - two of them! - and the whitest smile Fred has ever seen. Every day at a certain time she sits at her window, and every day he stands in the rubble across the street among a crowd of zombies waiting to break through the fence and eat her.
'You are beautiful, like an angel', he thinks, but all he can moan is, “Braaaiiinss."
Still, as zombies go, Fred's quite a catch. Underneath all the gangrene and rot, Fred is different. This girl will probably turn out to be yet another dead end, an infatuation, someone whose image he cannot get out of his mind and whose taste he cannot get out of his mouth, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
For breathers, it is always only a matter of time, however beautiful they are and whatever the government is assuring people.
Which makes Fred sad because he has a beautiful 11 year old son called Timmy, and Timmy may still be alive.

Lawyer, Writer, Zombie Man
I have no real interest in anything and therefore write about everything. Think of the funniest person you know. I'm just a little bit funnier. Same goes for humble and good looking. Stick around. We'll have some fun.

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary
Formats available: ebook
Cover Artist: Georgia Cates
Book Description:
Nick Hawke likes his car fast and his girls even faster. He blows through females quicker than his muscle car races down the drag strip in Collinsville and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Determined to avoid the devastation he has watched his father endure in the aftermath of his mother leaving, he believes there is no room in his life or his heart for a relationship lasting more than one night. He seeks happiness in things that won’t let him down...fast cars, parties and one night stands. To his absolute dismay, all of that changes when he unexpectedly runs into an old friend and is introduced to Payton Archer, the first girl he ever wanted for more than one night. There’s only one catch...she is completely immune to him and his smooth talking ways.
Payton Archer is looking for what Claire has with Jessie, but she has given up on finding it...at least until she leaves for college in the Fall because she is certain that is where she will find the perfect guy to fit into her perfect world. She plans on Summer being nothing but three uneventful months of fun, but it turns out to be anything but ordinary when Payton is introduced to Nick Hawke, one of Jessie’s old Collinsville friends. She is shocked by her immediate and intense attraction for “Hawke” because nothing about him is what Payton is looking for. Sure, he’s hot and sexy but he comes from Collinsville and that is definitely not on her list of prerequisites.
Everything about him makes Payton’s heart speed because he is exciting and dangerous, but his fast car and the dangerous chances he takes isn’t what scares Payton the most...it’s the way Nick Hawke makes her feel every time he looks at her. Can Payton find that moment of total fearlessness and make the decision to leave the safe, shallow end of love to risk going under completely?

Georgia resides in rural Mississippi with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their two beautiful daughters. She spent fourteen years as a labor and delivery nurse before she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an author.
Blood of Anteros, Book One in The Vampire Agápe Series, was her first novel and it was released in September 2011. She decided to briefly step away from the paranormal genre to try her hand at a young adult contemporary romance when she wrote Going Under, but returned to the paranormal romance platform to complete the second book in The Vampire Agápe Series, Blood Jewel.
Her current works in progress are Shallow (A Going Under Novel) which will release on September 27th and Blood Doll (The Vampire Agápe Series #3), to be released in January 2013.
