Judge Jones Scolds Theresa Gaffney

Pennsylvania County Clerk, Theresa Gaffney, has been making news because she decided to appeal Judge Jones' decision to rid Pennsylvania of inequality with regard to the same sex marriage ban that has harmed the lives of innocent LGBTI people for many years. Among many injustices, this law has caused elderly gay couples who have been together for years to lose retirement money, and it's created emotional damage on levels that can't even be described...

Bears & Gay Oral Sex; OJ Simpson Pilots Are Transgender; Gay Father of the Bride; My Fair Laddie by Ryan Field

Bears & Gay Oral Sex

Evidently, bears enjoy fellatio...real live bears. Not bear as in "Bear Week" in Provincetown.

The pair of male brown bears (who were born in the wild, but were both orphaned as cubs and now live at a sanctuary in Croatia) were seen repeatedly engaging in “vigorous penile sucking” over a period covering six years between 2008 and 2013.

You can read more here. There is actually a scientific paper out on this.

I knew a very sexually aggressive and good looking Croatian...

Early Gay Marriage; RIP Cameron Fox; Netherlands Gay Village; Dancing Dirty by Ryan Field

Early Gay Marriage

I always find it interesting that people like Theresa Santai-Gaffney, the woman deer hunter who is trying to appeal Judge Jones' ruling in Pennsylvania that made gay marriage legal, don't take into consideration that gay marriages have been around since the beginning of this country. I live in New Hope, Bucks County, PA, now, but I grew up in sleepy Salem County, NJ where it wasn't uncommon to find two women living together in the same house, sharing their lives, and ne...

Dr. Oz and FTC

Oprah talk show spinoff child, Dr. Mehmet Oz, recently came under fire with Congress for hocking diet concepts to consumers. One even went after him for allegedly praising products on his TV show designed to help people lose weight. I guess the difference between praise and endorsement is a gray area.

Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon, acknowledged that his language about green coffee and other supplements has been "flowery" and promised to publish a list of speci...

Male Nude Showers; Naked Men; Gay Men Looking for Straight Men; Take Me Always by Ryan Field

Male Nude Showers

I try to balance blog posts with a combination of serious and lighter topics I find while I'm surfing the web for information. There's often so much info available it's hard to decide what to post about sometimes. And there are so many serious issues within the LGBTI community it's difficult to ignore them. But I never intended this blog to be an activist web site that only focuses on the serious. It's the main reason why I don't review books more than I do.

I was i...

John Barrowman Honored by Queen; Chelsea Manning Op-Ed Piece; Palm Beack Stud by Ryan Field

John Barrowman Honored by Queen

Torchwood and Arrow star, John Barrowman, claims it's been one of the most exciting things of his life being honored by Queen Elizabeth.

John Barrowman was recognized with a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) over the weekend and the honor has left the Torchwood and Arrow star 'chuffed.' 'It’s been the hardest thing for me to keep this a secret, but I’m glad it’s out now, because this is probably one of the proudest days of my life,' Barrowman said...

More Gay Kissing; Gay Muslims; Transgender Woman Complains

More Gay Kissing

A new campaign, HeartGoesPop, is trying to conquer the stigma attached to gay kissing in public. It's not about sex. It's about emotion and showing the same affection straight couples show. Whether it's a peck on the cheek or a peck on the lips, there's still a certain amount of shock attached to gay people kissing or showing any kind of affection in public. And I would have to admit that even I don't feel comfortable showing too much affection in public with my husb...

Wisconsin Gay Marriage Stay; President Shouts to Gay Dads

Wisconsin Gay Marriage Stay

This is disturbing because something like it could happen here in Pennsylvania. An appeal was filed and the judge who struck down the marriage ban in Wisconsin was forced to issue a stay. She didn't want to do it. She just didn't have much of a choice. In her own words:

'After seeing the expressions of joy on the faces of so many newly wedded couples featured in media reports, I find it difficult to impose a stay on the event that is responsible for eliciting th...

Ricky Martin Changes Pronouns; Invisible Gay Men; Bottomless Model Daniel Garofali

Ricky Martin Changes Pronouns

Update: Ricky Martin allegedly did this in Morocco where it's a crime to be gay.

This is always something that's bothered me. ALL songs, at least in my lifetime, are heteronormative. If you're a man you sing to a woman and if you're a woman you sing to a man. But Ricky Martin just turned that one around when he changed the pronoun in She's All I Ever Had from she to HE.

In the original video, we see Martin kissing and caressing a female model and the lyr...

Unhung Hero Patrick Moote

Here's an interview I found with Patrick Moote, the star and creator of the film, Unhung Hero. I reviewed UH here, and thought it was a nice film. The only thing that bothered me was that we saw no male full frontal nudity in a film that was all about a man's penis.

Seriously. If the film had been about the guy's small feet wouldn't they have shown a few shots of his feet? Again, I like the film and I would recommend it to anyone, but it was hard not to...
