Its looks as if gay men are being objectified once again, but in a subtle way. Thankfully, this doesn't happen in the majority of the m/m romance community. The majority of m/m authors and readers support gay men and the entire LGBTI community. This objectification only happens in certain small circles.
But when it happens it stings, and reminds me of how certain sentences would read if gay men were substituted with any other minority. Instead of ranting, I'...

Gays in Locker Rooms
In the new book I'm working on now that's part of the Glendora Hill cowboy series, the main character, Kick, is all grown up and he's working as a web interviewer. In one scene he goes into a cowboy locker room to interview cowboys to get their reaction about having openly gay cowboys nowadays. I though it would be an interesting focus...and love story...because of the professional athletes like Michael Sam who have come out. This article to which I'm linking now talk...

Last summer I posted about the vicious racism some Big Brother house guests showed during the season. Before that, I posted about homophobic comments made by another Big Brother contestant, Jeff Schroeder. At least the house guests last summer were called on their racism. RIP Meshach Taylor
Designing Women star, Meshach Taylor, who played Anthony Bouvier from the late 80's into the early 90's recently passed away. He died of cancer, at his LA home with his wife and family, at the age of 67.
DW has always been a huge hit with the gay male segment of the LGBTI community and I always thought a lot of that had to do with the character dynamics between Taylor and Delta Burke. There's even an interesting little note in this article that mentions how one DW show...

I'm going to be kind right now and keep my review of an article short and simple. I could go into detail in my quest to disabuse young gay man-about-town, Brandon Baker, of a few misconceptions he has about gay men and gay resorts, but it's usually easier to get right to the point. I'm talking about a harsh article/review/commentary Brendan Baker wrote for Philly Magazine about a gay resort in New Hope, PA where I live.

Even though June is winding down, gay pride parades are still in full swing. This AOL article mentions a sort of Gay Pride in Singapore, with a hugely colorful photo. This one in particular draws thousands of gay rights activists, which in turn has Christian activists asking for a ban on the event.

Singer, Sinitta, is making a comeback and re-launching her mother's (Miquel Brown) hit single, So Many Men So Little Time, and will be singing it at London's Pride Festival. It's her first release in about 20 years.
It was long overdue to get back in the studio. So Many Men just seemed like the perfect choice, it is a kind of song to break the ice and I'm looking forward to singing it for the first time at London Pride.
'I'm also working on an album of new material and now...
