NYC Cancels All Summer Events Including Pride

I follow many gay venues on social media, including Provincetown and New York City. And so far it looks as though all summer events will be canceled, including Pride events.

That joy and that pride that all of these events bring, that celebration, will be back, de Blasio said at a press conference, noting that the new cancellations include the 50th annual gay pride parade marking the 1969 uprising at the Stonewall Inn.

Here's more. He's wrong and he...

Meme Says Gay Characters In Netflix's "Hollywood" Were Unnecessary

I really don't even see how anyone can critique or review Netflix's Hollywood as a serious piece, and I don't mean that in a negative way. I don't think it was meant to be taken that seriously, just like I never meant to have any of my gay parody books taken that seriously. Yet people still took my books seriously, especially the hetero fandom of movies like Pretty Woman...when I wrote a parody novel with gay characters and...

NJ Councilwoman Apologizes For Vicious Gay Slurs; Gay Right Wing Blogger Publishes Photo of Andrew Gillum; Ryan Field books

NJ Councilwoman Apologizes For Vicious Gay Slurs

I posted about this last week, and it was pretty bad. A councilwoman in NJ went after a gay mayor with a rant so awful it made everyone cringe. And now, she's apologizing.

"I apologize. That must be the first thing you hear from me," Robin Vaughn said in a statement posted on her Facebook and Twitter accounts Tuesday. "I am deeply and specifically sorry for the language that has offended so many."

Here's more. She should...

My FREE Books On Smashwords: Homophobic Hungary Removes Ban On Gay Blood Donations; A Gay Erotic Thriller Neverland; Ryan Field Books

My FREE Books On Smashwords

I honestly don't know much about this. All I know is that there's a special over at Smashwords right now and many of my books are free. I think this also covers Barnes and Noble and a few other venues...but don't quote me. Readers know a lot more about this than I do.

I wish I could tell you more, but I really don't know how it works. Tony always handles these things. I just know that whenever a book of mine sells...even if it's free...through Smashwords I get an...

Gay VS. Lesbian Couples and the Lockdown; Almost Full Frontal Male Nudity In Netflix's "Hollywood"; Ryan Field Books

Gay VS. Lesbian Couples and the Lockdown

As far as I know, all my good friends who are gay women seem to be dealing with the lockdown the same way as all my gay male friends. We're not thrilled about it, we're doing what we have to do, and we're getting through with it. In other words, I don't think gay women are doing anything differently than gay men. But there's this article, which of course really isn't meant to be taken seriously.

The satirical skit is a hilarious play on some of the...

The Joy of Gay Sex Is 43 Years Old; Vatican Gives Money To Transgender Sex Workers; Ryan Field Books

The Joy of Gay Sex Is 43 Years Old

I have to admit I didn't even know there was a book called The Joy of Gay Sex. I can promise you that if I had known I would have read it because I knew nothing at all.

The 207-page book served as a how-to guide with chapters on blowjobs, cruising and dirty talk, a gay Kama Sutra with suggested sex positions like the crab and a cultural guide with non-sexual chapters on the realities of coming out, gay politics, racism and more.

You can read more...

Gay Man Hooks Up With His Best Straight Guy Friend In College; That Time Kim Cattrall Got Horny For Super Mario; Ryan Field Books

Gay Man Hooks Up With His Best Straight Guy Friend In College

I think most gay men have hooked up with a straight guy at least once...but usually it's more often. It's just rarely spoken about aloud, which is why this article is so important to read. It doesn't always work out the way you wish it would work out, especially if it's with a friend.

All I can tell you is that I helped him pull his jeans off and then his boxers. At some point, he guided my head towards his junk. I say guided because...

Gay Adult Bookstore Circus of Books; What Buzz Feed Thinks Are Funny "Gay Tweets"; Ryan Field Books

Gay Adult Bookstore Circus of Books

I had a chance to watch the Netflix documentary last night about the gay adult bookstore in West Hollywood called Circus of Books. The documentary has the same name. I loved it. The owners were a straight couple who weren't activists or anything really political or social. They simply wanted to own a business that gave them a decent living and that's as far as they took it. They had 3 kids to support.

For decades, a nice Jewish couple ran Circus of Books, a...

Homophobic Trenton NJ Councilwoman Attacks Openly Gay Mayor

I was surprised to see something like this happen so close to home. New Hope, where I live, is only about a half hour away from Trenton, NJ, and most places around here are extremely LGBTQ friendly. I guess it goes to show you can find homophobia anywhere.

A councilwoman from Trenton, New Jersey had a truly epic meltdown at work last week and shes not apologizing for it.

Here's the link to continue reading.  The...

Netflix's "Hollywood" Doing a Queerty Interview; Archbishop Writes Letter About Fired Gay Teacher; Ryan Field Books

Netflix's "Hollywood" Doing a Queerty Interview

We started watching the new Ryan Murphy series on Netflix called Hollywood and it's not bad. There's nothing spectacularly wonderful about it, and there's nothing terribly bad about it. And we are liking it. It's light, it's colorful, and it's campy.

I noticed a few things weren't historically correct, but I don't think it was meant to be an accurate source for historic details. And then there are other scenes that get into racism and...
