Robin Hood and Vampire in Sherwood Horror

Interesting article at vampire.com about an upcoming Robin Hood horror movie -- (shared here by permission of vampire.com)
The tale of Robin Hood gets a whole new vampire-filled twist in the upcoming movie Sherwood Horror.
After winning the Grand Prize Winner of the Creative Screenwriting Magazine's AAA Contest and directed the award winning 2001 short film The Flock, writer and director John Regan is getting ready for his first ever feature film, Sherwood Horror. This flick is a modern...

SCRIBBLE FOCUS REJECTION VEGETATE

SCRIBBLE. Always carry paper and a pencil with you. Ideas will hit you at the oddest times, and you'll want to scribble them down. Recently, I've written notes in a movie theater, at a concert, and while buying bread.

Bling on the Blog

I feel like the Office Space waitress at Chotchkie's restaurant.
If Bill Lumbergh posts something here, I'm ripping down the entire blog.
Mmmm, yeah... I'm going to have to ask you to come in and write those 4,500 novels on Sunday.

WHACK WHACK WHACK
Somebody just won the BLOOD AND ICE contest over in Vampire Wire. I've now corresponded with the winner, and she's supplied a few names she'd like me to consider for secondary characters in the novel. Her names are so wonderful that I may have to select more than one. The contest winner has been forewarned:
Secondary characters may very well be...terminated.

Worst Things I Do in Life

I haven't attended WFC for many years. In the mid-late 90s, I was a regular. So I've signed up and realize that I must book a room immediately because worldcon hotels tend to fill a lot faster than regional convention hotels.
To give you an idea of how difficult it is for me to travel, here's a mini-list of the worst things I do in life:
1. Book plane flights2. Book hotel rooms3. Register for conventions 4. Find my way around my hometown (I get lost all the time)5. Balance my...

This is a truly amazing place -- GOODREADS!
I just joined GoodReads. Imagine my surprise to see all the reviews of my books (gasp). The internet continues to surprise me. (After all, I created my blog only last week - loisgresh.blogspot.com - and discovered google analytics today.)
I'll probably be awake until the wee hours on many occasions, adding book reviews. The fun is just beginning!
As a BOOKAHOLIC, I'm already in love with GOODREADS!

Google Analytics - wow
I'm new to blogging, and for now, I'm fascinated by everything involved with it.
I created loisgresh.blogspot.com about a week ago. I discovered Google Analytics on 03-01-10 and installed it.
Between 03-01 and 03-04, tiny loisgresh.blogspot.com had 120 visits (aka hits).
I started one other blog (for my pseudonym) approx 12-31-09. Between 03-01 and 03-04, that tiny blog had 173 hits.
Between 03-01 and 03-04, www.loisgresh.com had 465 hits.
These numbers amaze me. Mind...

Nice review of short story
I came across a really nice review of one of my stories circa 1997. This reviewer "got" it - wow!
"Many of these stories share ... a gritty realism and concern for the contemporary. This is certainly true of Lois Gresh's "Where I Go, Mi-Go," but this story has something special. As Lovecraft tied in the science of his day with his own cosmic vision, so does Gresh today. What relativity was to Lovecraft's age, quantum physics and chaos theory are to ours, and Gresh is among the first authors...

Slug thing hiding

The deer wander through the trees and sit like statues behind the apple tree. Oddly, they fade into the brush, dark brown dappled with white.
In this same location next August, the deer will share the tree's bounty with the slug thing and...

The hardest & best things about writing?
So what IS the hardest thing about writing?
Is it the deadlines? the endless word counts? the commitment to productivity and (hopefully!) quality? Is it the low pay? the long hours? the frustrations? Let's flip the question:
what's the best thing about writing?
I'm going to answer this second question. The first question doesn't appeal to me as much! FunCreativeDifficult, hence stimulating and endlessly fascinatingAlways learning something newGet to play with...
