SCRIBBLE. Always carry paper and a pencil with you. Ideas will hit you at the oddest times, and you'll want to scribble them down. Recently, I've written notes in a movie theater, at a concert, and while buying bread.
FOCUS. Always think about current and future writing projects. Never dwell on lost chances and dead projects.
REJECTION. Always remember that rejection is the name of the game. Don't let rejections bother you, or you'll quit writing before you hit your stride.
