How Do I Know God's Will? (Part 5)

I hope that these posts on knowing God's will have been helpful to you. Here are the links to the first four posts if you've missed one of them:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Honestly, I've uncovered so much about God's will in my personal study that this series could run on and on. Instead, I will wrap up the series today by answering a few questions.

What does doing God's will require?

In Part 1, we discussed that God reveals His will through His Word. Here are a few general observations ...

Winners, Updates & Blog Award

Let me begin by expressing my heartfelt thanks for all the prayers this week. The Lord must have decided I needed a hiatus from my computer, because I suffered with the worst back spasms I've ever had in my life (which made sitting impossible). But thanks to my medical doc and my chiropractor (and all your awesome prayers) I'm doing MUCH better!

A big THANKS to Casey at Writing For Christ and Molly at Book Reviews by Buuklvr81 for bestowing the XXtraordinary Blogger Award on WordVessel. (If ...

The Problem With Defensiveness

Don't you just hate having to admit when you're wrong? Trust me when I say that for us perfectionistic, Type-A personalities it's doubly hard. A few months ago, I was hurt and angry at someone over a false accusation that was made and it spilled out into a post. Some of the things within the post were hurtful and shouldn't have been written. I've since removed the post and banished it to the back corners of cyber space.

As I contemplated my actions, I realized that they all came back to me f...

AUTHOR INTERVIEW: Anna Dynowski

I'm delighted to welcome Anna Dynowski to WordVessel today. Here's her bio:

Anna Dynowski, author of seven inspirational romance novels, makes her home in Toronto, Canada, with her husband, Henry, and Misha, the calico cat. Her own "romance novel" began with meeting her "hero" through the personal ads, became engaged to him six weeks after that, and married him three months later. And that was twenty-five years ago. Being an incurable romantic, she writes what's in heart: love; and what's in...

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Here's more of what I'm learning as I study God's will:

Doing God's will won't always be pleasant or what we want to do.

Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet...
