Snowing again!
Wow! It is snowing again. Woke up to another winter wonderland early this morning and the flakes continue to spiral down. It’s a wonderful day for writing. I will be working on Inner Girl Rising and doing research for Sophie’s Menage as well.
I think I have discovered the reason Chee Chee is not going out – I thought it was because of the snow – now I am wondering if perhaps she prefers to stay inside because I PLAY with her and give her post-exercise treats? LOL
Hope the snow blower works for me today. Fingers crossed.

Story is writing itself!
Every once in awhile I write a story that “writes by itself”.
My current work-in-progress tentatively titled “Inner Girl Rising” is doing just that. It is amazing to sit at my computer and have my fingers fly over the keyboard so quickly that before I know what has happened I am sitting at 6,000 words. LOL. I really hope I can keep up this wonderful pace. It is quite fun! The story takes place in Northern Ontario, Canada and will be filled with wildlife and of course erotic romance menages!
I snapped a shot of my mom’s Christmas lights from inside the house. Looks so pretty!
And due to the recent snowstorm, Chee Chee the cat has been sticking mainly to our front porch and window sill. She absolutely hates getting her feet wet with the snow. She is such a princess! 
And since she is sooooooooooooo bored, I’ve taken to getting her to exercise with a fast-moving string. Here she is below, after a work-out session. LOL. I am an evil task master, eh?
And today my mom was busy too! After many years of having no interest in sewing, she lugged out her old Bernina sewing machine (the Bernina must be 55yrs old as it was a wedding present to her by my dad!). She whipped up some nice curtains for the side door. Took her a very short time. But she says her fingers just do not work as they used to.
Well, enough stalling! I shall head back to my story. You have a great day!!

Stormy and moving up the Bestseller List!
Ooolala it’s a snowing and a blowing outside tonight! I hear there is a windchill of -25 celcius. There is even ice forming on the inside corners of our new skylights! Early this morning I decided to bare the cold to take a walk so I put on two sets of long johns beneath my track pants and two hoodies plus my backlava and scarf. Have mercy but when I got back I was sweating! LOL But my eyes froze!
Chee Chee is being very brave today and staying inside! Below is a pic I took while trying to entertain her. The poor kittie was so bored. LOL

The Big Chill
Too cold for a walk today so I did some groceries- bought gluten-free salami – & tons of vegetables. I just polished off a delicious salad with cucumbers, lettuce, green beans, corn, tuna and topped off with mayonnaise. Delicious! And I did a bit more winterizing on one of the basement windows which is in serious need of replacement.
Now it’s off to do some writing on a story I have set in Northern Ontario Canada. The current project is to target the Ellora’s Cave Va Va Boomers theme. Here are the requirements:
VaVa Boomers
Sexy seniors. Mature heroines and heroes have the benefit of experience and well-developed skills! These over-fifty heroines show that love and lust last a lifetime.
Length: 10K – 70K words
Deadline for both internal/external submissions: 2/1/14 (earlier is preferred)
Heroines must be 50+ as “real” age—no immortal vampires, hundred-year-old shapeshifters, or twenty-somethings who’ve been in an enchanted sleep for fifty years, please! No older woman/younger man stories—heroes could be a few years younger to many years older than heroine, but the story is not about their age difference. (Could also be two heroines or two heroes. J )

Bring on the snow!
I finally got the snow blower working the other day. So I am ready for the snowstorm that is supposed to hit this weekend. My only worry is the snow blower will take a vacation like she did last year during the biggest storm of the winter. Ugh!! So, I decided to try it again today and guess what??? At first it gave me grief but it finally roared to life. Crossing my fingers she continues to participate.
I took a very chilly walk this morning down by the lake. The windchill must have made it feel more like 15 below celcius, but I was layered up and only got cold fingertips and cheeks. Here are some pics I took. Skating anyone? Give it a few more days and I just might pop on the ice for a good old fashioned skate- and cross my fingers I don’t go thru. LOL

My Red Mitten
A couple few days ago I decided to go for a really long walk around the bay. Unfortunately when I got back to my car I realized I had lost one of my red mitts as it hadn’t been too cold out and I’d stuffed the mitts in my pockets. This morning I decided I would pop over to the hiking trails and retrace my steps to see if I could find the mitt.
I was glad I had wrapped myself in layers and long johns because it was a freezing one out there. Fifteen below celcius with the wind chill. Talk about brrrrr.
But I wanted to find my red mitt, so off I trudged along the shoreline. Came across these little fellows:
and even more little fellows from another angle.
But for the life of me I couldn’t find my red mitt! And then I got so cold I said flip this and I began to head back. As I turned a corner…guess what I saw!
Lordy! Lordy! I cannot believe I missed this on the way in! Did anyone hear me laughing my head off at around 9:00 am this morning? It was me. And some nice person had hung the mitt in the tree at the side of the trail…I was looking on the ground. *grin*
So both mitts are in the house again. Nice and snug and warm.
