Single, soon-to-be mom Marley Madison has had some wicked cravings in her day. She wanted a baby without a man involved and thanks to artificial insemination, she’s thrilled to be pregnant. But her latest cravings are downright…naughty. She wants a ménage and she needs it bad. When she gets word her local swinger’s club is having a ménage night specifically for pregnant women, count her in!

Marley’s ex-flames Rick Antonia and Kacey Poole have just gotten back to town after serving years in the Canadian Special Ops overseas. When the two men spot Marley at the Key Club, they can’t believe how much she’s changed. Her sweetly rounded belly arouses them to no end and her curvy breasts intrigue them. They want her back in their bed and they’re going to make sure her dream of a scorching ménage comes true!

Suddenly she’s pleasure bound and shocked that her two ex-lovers are as passionate as ever. She’s never been so aroused by their caring touches and tender kisses…but Marley was in love with them years ago and she’s vowed not to let that complication happen again…

Emergency Vet Visit

For folks following my Emily thread – at our vet’s encouragement and because Emily had puked up all her food last night, we decided to bring her to an Animal Emergency Hospital for a second opinion.

They took another round of x-rays and that vet also suspects cancer. There appears to be something going on around her bronchial areas…but again she couldn’t fully confirm. Everything else looks good on her xrays.

The good news is they hydrated her and gave her something to settle her tummy. She has eaten a little food on her own (but only with EXTREME encouragement from yours truly) and I was able to get her meds down. She DOES have a REAL interest in eating PILL POCKETS…but those are not nutritional according to the vet’s assistant. But Emily sure does love to chow them down. Talk about a ferocious pill pocket appetite. lol

So Emily’s medical adventures continue…let’s hope she is feeling better soon, because if she starts to deteriorate we may have to put her down. I don’t want to see her suffer. :-(

Hugs!

Cat tales

Well, the adventures of Emily continues.

We took her into the vet this afternoon due to her not eating. The vet gave her an appetite stimulant plus some antibiotics for possible gastro-intestinal issues because I had noticed she was doing some lip licking – which it turns out is apparently a sign of nausea in cats.

When we brought her home she headed straight to the kitchen and wanted food, but when I gave her some, she refused to eat. :-(

So I had to syringe some food into her as per the vet’s instructions and so far she is keeping it down. :-D Right now she is sleeping one her side of my bed, purring contentedly. But I am anything content as I worry what is coming for her.

Alas no writing today – but yesterday made up for it…maybe that is why I have the kink in the neck? *grin*

Okay so I am off to check on the patient again and maybe get in a bit of writing tonight. :-) I am afraid my Christmas story may not make it out for Christmas due to everything that’s going on…but I will keep trying.

Stay safe,

jan

Kink and my cat

Unfortunately not the naughty kink *grin*. Woke up with a kink in the neck and I can barely move my head…mouse arm is affected so limited time writing today. *frown*

Emily news – Unfortunately Emily has completely stopped eating now and we are taking her to the vet again this afternoon. I am wracking my brains out trying to figure out what is wrong with her! About seven years ago her brother – Mr, Naegheli – stopped eating in a similar way…we had to put him down because they couldn’t find out what was wrong. I dread this is going to happen to Emily. She is 12 years old.

Please say some prayers for her. I will keep you posted.

Hugs!

Windy Day and a Bird!

Wow! Lots of wind out there today. Popped down to the lake for a walk on the beach and I almost blew over. The air is crisp and slaps quite nicely against my face. A refreshing way to wake up. :-)

On my way back from the walk I found an injured bird on the trail. (It looks kind of like the below pic) She couldn’t walk or fly so I picked her/him up and held it in my hands for awhile. She was trembling and I didn’t know if I should bring her home or not as I have no idea how to care for a bird — and then there are my cats…

File:Troglodytes musculus Registro.jpg

After holding her for about ten minutes, I decided to put her down…and to my surprise, she hobbled away! I hope she is going to be alright. Maybe she smacked into a tree or something and was knocked senseless? Or maybe she is sick. I feel really bad for letting her go, and I hope she can find some food and start flying again.

Well, it’s heavy duty writing time for me. I hope you all have a great day!!

Good news & Bad news

The wonderful news is…I got my ITIN number. Woot! No idea why they sent me that other note (see last post) and then two days later they gave me the number. The IRS works in mysterious ways. *grin*

More good news…Emily is still hanging in there. The vet can’t find anything wrong with her, except the heart sounds a bit “off”. Her breathing continues to be fast and shallow. She is eating again. She is playful again. Just not as much as before. The vet gave her some pain meds but I don’t think it really made a difference as things were improving already before the meds. If she gets worse tomorrow I will get the meds Mon and put her on. Last night I woke up and checked her breathing and it seemed almost normal. But she was fast asleep. When she is awake then the breathing becomes fast…I wonder if it is an anxiety issue??? I know ever since Spunky passed that she has missed him and she doesn’t want anything to do with the other cat CheeChee.

cat scared

So, I think we will take a wait and see attitude with her. She has also started doing something different – she’s begun to curl herself around the top of my head while I am sleeping! LOL Hence I am waking with kinks in my neck. Oh Emily!!! She might be cold, so I am giving her a warm bean bag which she likes to cuddle.

Even more good news! I am thinking about putting “Buy Now” links and a shopping cart over at Spunky Girl Publishing for the convenience of my Spunky Girl readers. I should have a final decision this Tuesday, whether to go for it or not. :-)

And now for the bad news…my laptop that I use for all my writing decided to die on me. I’ve been trying to fix it but I can’t seem to get past the blue screen. When I do the F8 I cannot get it to go much further than that on every option I choose. Can’t even get to the recovery mode. Alas, I’ve decided to put it aside for now and try to work on it when I have more time…so I purchased another computer. It will be coming late next week.  It’s an HP Pavillion notebook. Hopefully it will work for me. Also purchased some software.

Frustated businesswoman

In the meantime I’m working on my old HP clunker and crossing my fingers this puter doesn’t die on me too. I am so happy that I always backup my stuff…I only lost half a days work. Whew!

Okay enough stalling. The past few days have been frightful with the cat and set me back big time in the writing field. It is crunch time to catch up.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Me Confused ???

Here I sit brokenhearted…*huge frown*…

I applied for an ITIN (authors will recognize these initials) from the IRS so that I won’t lose 30% off my indie pubbed ebook sales to the US taxman…and because Canada – US has a tax free agreement and I should be exempt and will do a Canadian tax return. But because I have indie pubbed books I need an ITIN.

Okay, so after more than 10 weeks of waiting (I understand the shutdown was probably the delay)  I received a reply today. (yeah!)

In it there is a note saying they are processing the W-7 form I sent them…and if I don’t get my ITIN Number in 6 weeks then I should give them a call…YET they also included my original certified passport plus another form asking for backup forms to support the exemption regarding tax-free royalties…which I did send with the original certified passport they sent back… so I tried to call to maybe clarify – long distance – and was told I would have to wait up to 15 minutes….oiiiii…can I say $$$ so I will just resend the info by mail. Anyways that was my low light of the day.

The highlight of the day was a call from my vet’s assistant telling me Emily’s blood results are “not bad” – not sure what that means…and that the vet will give me a call tomorrow. She said there appears to be no heart disease (yeah) and no diabetes (another yeah). She was also glad to hear that Emily was eating today – not that she hadn’t been eating…she was just slow in getting out of bed lately to get her food. I still think something is wrong with her but will wait for the vet’s call tomorrow.

Canada_Goose_mating_ritual2

The lowest highlight was when I took an early walk in a local provincial park that allows waterfowl hunting- I found three dead Canada goose on the beach, another dead Canada Goose floating in the bay waters and another bird – not sure what it was – paddling around in circles on the water – obviously injured. AND for the entire one and half hours of my walk I could hear someone shooting and shooting and shooting??? Not sure what is going on there as there were only two trucks in the Waterfowl parking area – and one of them was the Ministry truck…so why are there so many dead birds around? Either the hunter is trigger happy, using the birds as targets (can they do that? and are they even allowed to shoot Canada Goose on this side of the border?).  Anyhows not sure why they allow hunting right beside a wildlife bird sanctuary but I REALLY wanted to report it but I wasn’t sure if the Ministry guy at the trailer post would shoot ME as he must know what he is doing??? Oiiiii those poor birds.

In the meantime – congratulations to those of you on getting so far in this post…LOL…I must head back to my current work in progress.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hugs,

jan

Yep, I’m getting worried about my sick furball, Emily. Sh...

Yep, I’m getting worried about my sick furball, Emily. She spent the afternoon at the vet where they did Xrays and blood work.

When I asked the vet if I should be worried – she said – “a little”. When she said that – I started to worry even more. For now it looks like something with her heart as it doesn’t sound right and the rate is too slow for a nervous cat at the vet. Possible heart disease. She says the blood work can eliminate heart disease.

The Xrays showed lungs are good and she can’t see anything with the heart. But she thinks there is something there by the sternum but she’s not sure what…so she is posting the Xrays pics to show her colleagues in the hopes someone can give her feedback. So I have Emily sitting on the bed here beside me, wide awake and seemingly content although her breathing is quick and it bugs me!!

Okay so no writing today. Will hopefully get back into it tomorrow. But while we waited for the Xray results the vet sent us out shopping. LOL I guess to keep our minds off Emily. So I ended up buying some DVD’s over at the Giant Tiger…Love Comes Softly Vol 1 & Vol 2. to help cheer me up. love comes softly     Gonna spend the rest of the evening relaxing with the kittie. Keeping a close eye on her. Hope you have a great evening! jan

Sick fur baby, Stressed human

Oiiii I have a sick fur baby on my hands. Emily, my 12 year old cat isn’t breathing right. I have an appointment with the vet this afternoon.  The last time I had a cat who didn’t breathe right, I had to put him down – Spunky at 19 years old – this past August. So I AM stressssssing out all over the place today. I do hope this vet trip doesn’t end badly. :-(

In the meantime I’ve sent edits  for “Attracted to Him” back to my EC editor and am working on a blurb today. Don’t feel much like working, but hopefully it will keep my mind off poor Miss Emily. If you get a chance, send healing vibes for her. Would appreciate it. :-)

When Daniel is injured, Dr. Sander Jonas frantically rushes to his side and finally gives into the overwhelming attraction he’s kept hidden for too many years. Scorching water sex with custom-made adult toys and hot loving nights surrounded by lush palm trees and white sandy beaches is exactly what the doctor ordered to heal their wounded hearts.
