Mouse in the house last night!
This is CheeChee…if you don’t want to read about the mouse she brought home last night – then read no further. LOL You have been warned.
CheeChee is around 5 years old. She was a stray and half wild when I found her in a park on a very windy and freezing winter day. She was stuck in a very very tall tree and it took me over half an hour to coax her down…after which she followed me to my car and refused to get out! So I took her home and to thank me for my troubles she has brought me home a mouse or two every evening. You see CheeChee gets hysterical if she cannot get outside when she wants, and so she is what we call an outdoor cat. She lives on the front porch in her warm snuggly double decker fleece pad and comes in and out of our house all day long – hence me the door person. She has me trained well.
She will also sit on the window sill and won’t budge unless I shake the Temptations pouch – she is exactly like those kitties in the Temptations commercials where they come from far and wide when they hear the pouch shaking. And so last night I had the pouch in hand to temp her to come in for the night. I opened the door and in she rushes. Oh, I thought, that was easy…too easy.
I find her hunkered down on the carpet on the floor hunched over something – at first I thought oh my god she is sick!! But nooooo I see a couple of mouse legs hanging out of her jaw…ewwwwwwwwwwwwww…so I am yelling for mom – yep I’m not for mice. And here comes my mom all shrieking at the cat as we both thought the mouse was maybe still alive and let’s save it but noooooooo CheeChee finally drops the mouse and all that is left of our mouse is the tail, the back legs and bottom torso….lovely eh???? Sooo grossssssss! LOL Poor little mouse. 
Anyways that is my mouse tale (no pun intended)
Well I must trudge off as CheeChee is here meoooowwing her head off that she wants to go outside. Oiiiiii That’s my CheeChee.
P.S. We named her this because she loves Cheese.

Brrrrr! Cold one out there!
Woke up to all the roofs covered in white and the house COLD! Even the new skylights that we had installed this Spring had condensation running down inside. I guess it would have helped to turn on the heat through the night? Heat is on now and it is starting to get toasty inside. But it’s a day for long johns. Mom and I went down to the lake for a walk on the trails early this a.m.. She put on her long johns (smart girl) and I didn’t…so guess who ended up with a chilly behind? This is a pic from a few days ago and where we like to walk.
On the way back we popped into the Italian bakery and got some cheese and gluten-free Soppresetta salami. Yummy! Guess what we’re having for lunch!!
Well, yesterday I was all gung ho to watch Revolution and Criminal Minds…but last night I ended up falling asleep and missing both. *le sigh* Thankfully Rogers On Demand will come in handy. I must be getting old for wanting to go to bed sooo early these days?
I talked to my snowplow guy this morning and he’ll be doing the plowing at my place again this winter. Yeah! He’s such a sweetheart. Too bad I am in the snow belt area – as he doesn’t much like winters anymore. But oh if only I had a truck with snowplow, I think I would love plowing people’s driveways.
And I had planned on going up on the roof to clean out the eave gutters today – but I think I will wait until it warms up again. If it warms up again….oiiii
Oh and yesterday I also bought the cover for “Jaxie’s Menage” – another planned sequel in the Key Club. Wooot! Cover release will be when the story is close to completion. I have scheduled it to be written come this Spring.
Okay so it’s back to that final read through of the current story. Should be done today and then it is off to the editor. Finally!! Woot!

Watching tonight!
I just realized it is Hump Day!! That means a couple of my favorite tv shows are on tonight – Revolution and Criminal Minds.
Revolution is kind of similar to my Desperadoes series over at BookStrand. If you want to know why I haven’t continued that series it is because it literally SCARED me…LOL…life without electricity does not look like it is much fun. Although I was partly raised that way up at our cottage from age 8 to 50….it didn’t bug me having no electricity but we had a propane stove and a wood stove and there were just short bursts of time I spent there. Anyways as I got into the Desperadoes series I started getting nervous about life with no electricity and decided to put the series on hold for a bit. Lawdy! I sure can scare myself can’t I? My dad always said I had a very good imagination. LOL
And how about that “Criminal Minds”. Man, there sure are some psycho scary people out there in the world. I have enjoyed this series since Day One and now that there appears to be something going on between AJ and this new fellow on the team…she’s married! And quite happily or so I thought!! I wonder what is going on between them?? And boy was I ticked off a couple of years ago when they fired her from the show, but glad they brought her back.

Buzzzzy Day!
As promised, more posting. *grin*
Soooo I got up bright and early this morning and decided to take advantage of the sun and I put on my winter hat and mitts and headed out for a nice long walk on the trails.
I turned a corner on the trail and lo and behold I see this huge thing – probably twice the size of a human head – hanging up in a tree. Turns out to be this MASSIVE wasp nest! I’ve traveled by that particular area soooo many times this year and never noticed it. But now with the leaves gone, the nest stuck out like a sore thumb.
Here’s an idea of how it looked:
Have mercy did that nest make me paranoid and had me looking over my shoulder the rest of the day.
Fast forward to this afternoon where I picked our apple tree clean (Delicious apples) – and yes you guessed it I was surrounded by wasps that were nesting on some of the apples that had been partially eaten by squirrels. Thankfully they (the wasps not the squirrels lol) were so drunk on the sugar in the apples they barely paid any attention to me. LOL
Here’s the tree before I stripped it bare. That’s just one branch *grin* So I think I picked a good two bushels. And they do live up to their name – delicious!
Fast forward to this evening. A fuse blew in the house - and so I head into the basement to change it and don’t I hear buzzzzzzing on the window…shivers shoot up and down my neck – there’s not only one wasp – but THREE of them. Those nasty black and white ones….Ohhhhh man! Needless to say they have been neutralized. But it sure is true in what they say that things come in threes. LOLOL
I am still trying to figure out how they got in.
Book news – I have started the final read through of Marley’s Menage…looking good…and I’m toying with ideas for a Christmas themed Menage – “A Merry Menage Christmas” a book three for the Key Club series. I already have the cover – but won’t reveal it until I know for sure I can have the story done for this December *evil grin*.
Soooo how about Days of Our Lives today – Nicole confessed to Father Eric she LOVES him!!! Sweet! JJ is sooo in trouble with Jennifer…Brady dropped the hint that he knows Kirsten had an affair! Lawdy! And guess what??? I have started to watch Young and the Restless – So excited that Nicki has found her son (he is soo cute) !! So sad about the little girl who got hit and killed by the hit and run…I mean ohhh my goodness that soap has good drama!
Okay so I’m heading back to work for a bit.

Finished!
Marley’s Menage is FINISHED!! *doing the happy dance*
Just going to put it aside for a day or so and then look it over one more time. Ooohhhh I am so thrilled!!!
How about those zombies on The Walking Dead last night – Rick and the rest appear to be in for some big trouble with that possible flu outbreak. What I didn’t like – the way he was slicing open those piglets for the zombies…talk about ewwwwwwwwww!! But that show had me on the edge of my seat. I wonder if Rick is going to lose it again. and start seeing his dead wife. He did give Carl back his gun. Wonder if Carl is going to start wearing that hat of his again. lolol And what’s up with Michone breaking down like that when she held little baby Judith in her arms??? Ohhh dear. I felt really bad for her. Wonder what her story is?
Okay off to RELAX for a bit. Then gonna watch Days of Our Lives…Kristen and Brady are supposed to get married any day now, but Nicole mentioned to Brady that Kristin had been unfaithful…hmmmm and then that flash drive is in Daniel’s office now…with Kristen and Father Eric making out on it. Lawdy!

Squeeeing! One more scene left to write for Marley’s Menage!
Okay so I’ve decided I am going to start posting more often to my blog…mainly because I need a journal and this place is it! Woot! I hope you all don’t mind. *grin*
Have mercy!! I have Marley’s Menage, Book 2 of my Key Club series almost finished!! It was a long haul writing it between other stories that were busting out of me which I had contracted with Ellora’s Cave.
But I have decided to keep this series for myself and will publish it through Spunky Girl Publishing.
I have one more hot scene to write for Marley’s Menage. Then I’ll give it a polish as I read it over and then she is off to the editors! Woot! Crossing my fingers for a mid to late November release, maybe earlier.
I put yet another round of tulips in, this time at my mom and dad’s place. It will give us some cheerful colors come Spring. I got this last batch of tulips at the Dollar Store and they (tulips) came all the way from Holland. All kinds of colors. I hope the squirrels don’t find them. LOL And I did some outdoor caulking this morning too around the parent’s house sealing up cracks in the foundation and getting the old house ready for the winter.
Below is a picture of my brother’s birthday cake – he turned 52 on the 18th of October. Getting old my man!! LOL
