Conquer the 3 P’s mini-training (procrastination, perfectionism, and other pitfalls)
I’m not a procrastinator, but I have family members who are. Drives me crazy! However, I do struggle with perfectionism. I call perfectionism “procrastination dressed up in high heels.” Both are usually rooted in fear. Fear of being “good enough” or “perfect enough.” No one is perfect but Jesus! There’s another “P” word. Pitfalls. What are these? Things like scrolling on social media too much, busyness, laziness, cleaning the house, organizing, errands to run, or anything that serves as a distr...

The key of consistency for success
Do you struggle with consistency in your life and in your business? I do, too. It’s not easy to be consistent, whether you’re trying to work out and/or lose weight, eat healthy and not sugar or carbs, keep showing up on social media, build closer relationships, manage your finances well, have quiet devotional time daily, or whatever it is that you desire. It’s important to have consistency in our work and in our character. Consistency makes you and me more reliable and trustworthy—and to achiev...

We need hope
The death toll has now risen to 9 dead, and the people of the USA and even the world are anxiously waiting news for a miracle of survivors from the tragic Champlain Towers condominium collapse in Miami, Florida. Survivors and their family members of the USA’s 9-11 attack grimly remember that horrifying day as they watch the news about the condo. In the midst of this new tragedy, we’re also dealing with the Coronavirus (and the Delta variant), outbreaks driving some places back under new lockdown...

A bad day and the moon, an ice cream cone, and praise music
Yesterday I had a bad day. It was just one of “those” days. When I sat down at my office desk to work on my new mini-training, Conquer the 3 P’s, I began having “techie” trouble with my laptop. So being the mature, Christian woman that I am (haha!), I had a meltdown. I confess that at one point, I literally SCREAMED because I was so frustrated! Ray and I were broke. (We’re between paydays right now!). And there’s other “life stuff” going on that is stressing me out right now. I finally got th...

Take it easy (Ray in Winslow, Arizona) and the restaurants we tried on our Grand Canyon trip
My husband Ray, our daughter Leah, and I traveled to the Grand Canyon in Arizona to celebrate her college graduation. This post is about some of the restaurants we tried on our trip.

Our beautiful cabin on our Grand Canyon trip for Leah’s college graduation
Where you stay on a vacation can be just as important as where you go and what you do. Originally I had booked a hotel near the Grand Canyon when I planned a trip there with my husband Ray and our daughter Leah, to celebrate her college graduation with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Graphic Design. But Leah searched online and found a big, beautiful cabin in a remote area near the airport in Flagstaff, Arizona for us to stay at, and I’m so glad she did! Initially, I was concerned that it mi...

New shoes
I'm making health and fitness a priority. Yesterday my biz coach Diane suggested that I buy new walking shoes and go to a running shoes store to get properly fitted. My Nikes have taken me many great places. Places I dreamed of going. Places where God sent me. Where are your shoes taking you? I want to go places where I've never been. It's time for good, new shoes.

Know your worth: A self-care day
Today is Sunday, the day that the American church typically celebrates the Sabbath, the one day of rest which God commanded in Exodus 20:8-11, although Jews observe Shabbat from Friday evening to Saturday evening. I believe what’s most important is that we set aside one day a week to rest and not work. This is good for our bodies, soul, and spirit. Some people work on Sunday (or Friday or Saturday), so they have to take another day to rest. Generally, I observe both days! The weekend is my time...

What’s new: Leah’s college graduation, Ray’s wreck, & my new trainings
Although 2020 was no laughing matter, nor is 2021, some of the memes for this year are funny. So far, for our family, there has been a mixture between the great, fun moments and the “I don’t even want to get out of bed today” ones! The best thing so far this year (and I’m anticipating God doing more wonderful things!) is that our youngest daughter Leah graduated from college! She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Graphic Design, and even won 3 awards in Graphic Web Design, History of Visu...
