Coaching for aspiring authors & speakers and other news

This year started out slow, but the momentum is picking up now. I have a feeling that things are about to get much busier this spring and summer 2022! The year started out with sharing part of my story in my writing coach Shelley Hitz and her husband CJ Hitz’s book, Kingdom Writers. You can buy a copy by clicking here. They are now offering a writers conference called Count The Costs. Still time to get in! Just click here. Recently I joined my business coach Diane Cunningham Ellis’ Business Brea...

My podcast has moved to Anchor

Whoo hoo! I’ve now officially moved my podcast (which I’ve been recording for years) to the podcast host Anchor. I should have hired my virtual assistant (VA) to do this. Despite a biz peer’s encouragement to “just do it,” it has been a royal pain to make this move due to all the tech issues. I’ve had LOTS of tech and internet issues lately.  Then yesterday I found out from our CPA that my husband Ray and I owe taxes (a hefty amount!) again this year. It has all been so stressful. Please pray fo...

When you don’t have WiFi: Lessons I learned

Recently I shared that I lost my wedding ring. Thankfully, my husband Ray recently found it when he was sweeping the basement one day. My friends had been praying that I’d find it. I was like the woman who rejoiced with her friends when she found her lost silver coin. (Luke 15:8-10) God taught me many lessons when I lost it, including about my marriage, people who are lost without Christ, and losses in life such as at least 198 Ukrainian people dying from Putin’s invasion of their land. In light...

What do you see? Prophecy training

It is very windy today due to another winter storm with snow and ice predicted for the Kansas City, Missouri area. Jesus talked about the wind to His disciples. He said, “The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8) What He meant is that it doesn’t always make sense when believers are following the leading of the Holy Spirit. It may seem unpredictable, but we have to t...

My lost wedding ring: God’s heart for the lost

On January 3 of this new year 2022, I lost my wedding ring.  I was doing laundry downstairs and hanging a pair of wet white jeans over the drying wrack, when suddenly I heard a small clanging noise. I looked down at the floor (in our basement, so it’s concrete on that side of the house) but didn’t see anything, so I continued doing the laundry, because, ya know, endless laundry is just what wives and moms do.  Later when I went for a Sonic run, I noticed as I ordered a cold drink on the app on m...

Do you need a miracle? My 2022 one word

When I prayed about 2022, I sensed that God said He's going to do miracles in 2022. Serendipity - pleasant surprises.

My client’s book is now for sale on Amazon! How I Got To Africa: A Prophecy Fulfilled

This morning I received a text from one of my first clients and now my business peer and friend, whose sixth (6th) book is now for sale on Amazon. It never gets old to write and publish a book, no matter how many you have written! I’m working now with a new client and friend, Alma Stahl Jones, who wrote her book years ago and just published it on Amazon. It is such a powerful story of how she waited 56 long years to go to Africa, after God told her that she’d serve Him there. Alma went to Uganda...
