I wrote the book, now what?

This morning one of my writer friends, Stephanie Carter, asked me on Facebook: “I wrote the book, now what?” So I made a video, Writers’ Christmas Wrap, answering the question and thought I’d share it here, too.

Never stop dreaming

Did you obey God? If not, repent and ask His forgiveness. Ask Him for His help.... Read more »

I dreamed of T-Rex dinosaurs; what are you running from?

Last night I dreamed of dinosaurs. Some other people and I were in the claws of a giant T-Rex. He was asleep, and we escaped and began running into buildings for safety as he woke up. The T-Rex and another T-Rex then began chasing other people and other dinosaurs. He was attacking one dinosaur to eat it when I woke up. The picture above is of our daughter Leah’s dinosaurs. She used to love dinosaurs and dinosaur cartoons like The... Read more »

Communion: Give thanks

For the last several Sundays, I’ve been attending a new church. I’ve been part of a small group in some friends’ home for the last two years and over the summer, they took a much-needed break. The leaders began the group again, but this time on Saturday nights, which doesn’t work with my schedule since Saturday is my only “official” day off work in my speaking/writing business. I decided to start attending a local traditional church on Sunday mornings, because... Read more »

The spiritual warfare when you write a book

Are you writing a book and wondering what in the world is going on? Are you experiencing intense spiritual warfare? Then, welcome to the club! In today’s scope, I shared that if you want to write a book or have a book idea, I believe it’s usually God who put that inspiration into your heart. Celebrate your accomplishments

Do you celebrate your accomplishments, big or small? When you’ve achieved a dream or goal, do you reward yourself? Yesterday, my husband Ray and I had a lunch date at Royal Gyros restaurant in Belton, MO, to celebrate a goal I’ve had over two years now, to get all 10 of the books I’ve written on Amazon for Kindle! We had lamb, pita bread with hummus, Greek salad, and dolmades with tzatziki (creamy cucumber) sauce. It was so delicious! Then we... Read more »

Drinking in fall

“Autumn…the year’s last loveliest smile.”– William Cullen Bryant,Indian Summer This afternoon after my walk at the track, I was going to come home and record a podcast. I may still do that, but I just couldn’t at that moment. I had to go outside. Right now, I am drinking in fall, savoring every moment of looking at the beautiful, glorious, colored leaves, God’s amazing art. I want to stop winter, stop time, and shout to the world, “Look at how... Read more »
