Dr. Creflo Dollar: Care Free Living

Care Free Living - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesCasting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you (1 Peter 5:7).

“Cares” overtake people because they do not spend enough time meditating on God’s Word. When you are filled with the Word, faith rises in your spirit. But when you neglect your study and meditation time and take on the cares of this life, you stop the force of faith from coming up out of your spirit. This is when you find yourself being overburdened, agitated, angry, and weighed down by the cares of life.

The cares of this world will choke the Word and make you unfruitful in every area of your life. If you pay more attention to the news media than you do the Word, you will find yourself leaning more toward the negative side of things. This will cause you to be unfruitful and unproductive.

For this reason, we must cast or throw off the cares of life. I challenge you today to begin releasing those things that are hindering the Word from producing results in your life. It is a choice you have to make.

Make a decision today to not be weighed down by things that are out of your control. Let the Word grow in you and cause faith to spring up. Declare that you will not participate in the world’s fear and bad reports. Our God cares for us and He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory, praise God!

Creflo Dollar: God’s Debt-Release Plan (Part 1)

God's Debt-Release Plan (Part 1) - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesThe first and most important step in God’s supernatural war against debt is for us to remain in the circle of love. Our ability to love God’s way is critical to our debt deliverance. Romans 13:8 teaches us to owe no man anything but unconditional love. The debt to love people is required of every Christian. We should judge ourselves daily where our love walk is concerned. If someone is standing on God’s Word for financial breakthrough but has not seen any results, the blockage could be the result of his or her inability to operate in love. We must ask ourselves, To whom do I owe the debt of love and have not paid it? Is unforgiveness, strife, or past hurt keeping me from loving others the way God commands? If so, it is time to deal with these issues and get them resolved.

God will  not allow His supernatural power to flow through our lives if we refuse to love. When we give the gift of love, we can receive the Father’s love in the form of supernatural debt cancellation and provision in other areas of our lives as well.

Declare God’s Word over Your Finances

Once our love foundation is secure, we can begin to receive the promises of God. The Word says when you decree a thing, it is established (Job 22:28). A decree is an authoritative order or established judgment. When we open our mouths and declare what God has said regarding our finances, we activate the forces of heaven to go to work on our behalf. Therefore, the second step in the supernatural war against debt is to make an announcement against the devil concerning our financial freedom. It is our job to release the power of God to break the power of the spirit behind debt by decreeing that we are released from debt’s grip, according to God’s Word (Deuteronomy 15:1–4).

Bind the Enemy

The third step of the supernatural war against debt is to bind the enemy. This is where a lot of people miss it because they do not understand the importance of binding the enemy. Believe it or not, demons do exist. In fact, there are specific demonic forces assigned to destroy every area of our lives, including our finances. The Bible says we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, the knowledge of the battle set against us will help us effectively arm ourselves with God’s Word.

Part of our power over the enemy is knowing we are fighting him. We need to know who he is, his tactics, and who we are in Christ. In Matthew 12:28–29, Jesus  expounded upon a key aspect of spiritual warfare. “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.”

We must bind the enemy, or as this Scripture describes him, “the strong man,” so we can make progress in our war against debt. When we immobilize the enemy by binding him, we have the ability to move forward financially. Therefore, our prayer time should specifically include this aspect of debt deliverance.

I will be posting part two of God’s debt release plan soon, so check back often and get more practical steps that will help you obtain breakthrough in your finances!

Be blessed.

Creflo Dollar: How to choose the right mate (Part 3)

How to choose the right mate (Part 3) - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesToday we are looking at more steps that will help lead you into a successful dating relationship. Here are the next questions that I would like for you to consider:

Does This Person Trust God or Fall  into Unbelief Regularly?

When adversity does show up, do you see him or her standing on the Word with a positive attitude, quoting the Word, believing God, and remaining motivated? Or do you see this individual depressed, speaking negatively, murmuring, and complaining? Notice what is going on in the midst of a situation. You should want a mate whose trust and confidence are in God and His Word, regardless of the circumstances.

Has This Person Ever Displayed Anger?

You do not need to walk down the aisle with anyone you have not seen angry. Don’t think for a moment your love interest does not get angry. Think about it. Haven’t you been angry before? We all get angry. Do you know the two people in the Bible who got angry the most? God and Jesus! The anger of the Lord was kindled many times. Jesus was in the temple and got angry at the money changers. He turned over tables and started whipping people. Be realistic about it. If God and Jesus got angry, do you think you will marry a man or woman who does not ever get angry? You need to know how this person expresses anger.

Have You Seen This Individual Angry with You?

What is this person like when angry with you? If your future husband or wife gets angry, loses control, and mentally or physically abuses you, that should be a big red flag.

Does This Person Resolve Conflict in a Biblical Way?

This is part of the previous question. When there was a conflict between the two of you, how was it handled? Was it handled in a biblical manner, by seeking wisdom from the Word? Were you in agreement on how it was handled? Was it resolved peacefully, or did the two of you simply ignore or fail to deal with it? The manner in which you handle conflict now is an indication as to how you will handle it in your marriage.

Does This Person Ask for Forgiveness?

I think it is terrible when couples have disagreements and one or both of them never ask for forgiveness or deal with the issues at all. Instead, they just choose to pick up and move on as if the incident never took place. How can a conflict be resolved when it is ignored? Consider whether this person acknowledges when he or she is wrong. Also, is he or she willing to forgive?

Ladies, Does He Have a Way to Provide for You?

The first time I asked my wife to marry me, she said no. I said, “I can’t believe you said no.” Taffi said, “Baby, we came to the park in your mama’s station wagon. You are living with your mama and working part time. You can’t take care of us yet, but when you get a good job and stability, my answer will definitely be yes.” At first it was a hard pill for me to swallow, but I eventually

understood where she was coming from. As a man, it is my responsibility to support my wife and household. Ladies, let a man be a man by allowing him to own up to his responsibilities. If he cannot financially support a household, he is not ready to be a husband. Love and support him enough to give him time to be a good provider and a stable head of the household.

I hope that these practical steps have helped you gain some insight that will help propel you into a successful dating relationship and eventually find that special someone that God has for your life.

Creflo Dollar: Grace to Do the Works of God

Grace to Do the Works of God - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

God created you for a good purpose, and that purpose is designed to bring Him pleasure and glory. Sometimes we can become so earthly-minded that we forget that we are first and foremost spiritual beings who were born again so that we can fulfill a destiny and calling from God. Every gift, talent, and ability God has given us is for the specific purpose of ultimately glorifying Him. The paths that He has preplanned for us are good paths that lead to abundance. The grace of God on our lives gives us the ability to do everything He has called us to do as we allow our steps to be ordered by Him.

Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” God has created us to do good works, and the works of God that we are ordained to carry out can only be done through our relationship with Jesus Christ. The grace of God is the catalyst that enables us to do these things.

Understanding how grace flows in our lives is critical to being able to access it so that we can do the things that glorify God. Everything from living holy lives to fulfilling our individual assignments requires the grace of God. Grace is the supernatural ability of God that empowers us to live in a way that pleases God and to serve Him acceptably. This power is available to every Believer; it is resident in our recreated spirits. We don’t have to try to accomplish things in our own strength when we have a revelation of what we possess inside of us. In fact, God will never let us compete with His grace. When we try to do things in our own ability, we are actually operating in pride because we are essentially saying that our way is better than God’s way. Even as it relates to changing certain negative behaviors we may be involved in, will power is not the answer. God has empowered us to overcome our flesh through His grace so we don’t have to rely on ourselves to get the job done.

The process of releasing the grace of God to do the works of God begins with the Word of God. Grace comes through faith and faith is obtained in the Word. Therefore, in order to have the faith to activate grace, we must immerse ourselves in the Scriptures and meditate on the truth about grace. The more we begin to renew our minds to the supernatural ability of God that is available to us, the more our faith in grace will grow in our hearts. When grace is appropriated, power is released, and we get results in our lives.

The principle of activating the grace of God can be applied to any and everything pertaining to our Christian lives. Anything we have to accomplish for the kingdom and everything we are called to do and be can be achieved through this grace. There is a grace for every assignment and instruction God has called us to carry out on this earth.

There may be something you are feeling led to do that is going to require the grace of God. He may have given you an idea or concept that is going to impact many lives. Remember that grace and faith are connected, and faith comes from the Word of God. When you find out what the Bible says about the issues, or you receive a spoken Word from God that confirms what you are setting out to do, the grace of God will hover over that endeavor, giving you ultimate success and maximum results.

Second Corinthians 12:9, 10 says, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” Whenever you feel weak or incapable of carrying out what God has called you to do, even as it relates to obeying His Word, remember that the power of Christ is inside you, strengthening you. His strength is the grace you need to be successful. It doesn’t matter if all of hell comes against you; God’s grace is sufficient. Act on your faith by doing a corresponding action in line with what you believe, and grace will put you over the top. Get yourself out of the way so God’s power can work in you and through you to do what He has called you to do.

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Believe and Receive

Believe and Receive - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Did you know that everything God has promised in His Word has already been done? The only thing we have to do is believe and receive what rightfully belongs to us by faith. People of faith always have a good report because they are constantly walking by what the Word says and not by what their five physical senses are telling them. To live the life of faith means to live in full assurance of the finished work of Christ.

There are three ingredients of faith: belief, trust, and confidence. Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Anything that can be found in the Word has already been granted to you; however, you must believe that you will get it. You can’t say you are believing something and you are not trusting. Trust is maintaining a committed stance on what God has said. When you trust in something, you have full confidence in it.

A great illustration of confidence that is born out of trust is to think about when you sit in a chair. You trust that a chair is going to be able to hold your weight, and, therefore, you are confident that if you sit in it you will be secure. Most people have no questions when it comes to believing in a chair’s ability to support them. However, when it comes to God and the things He has promised us, people tend to lack absolute confidence. The way to build it up is to meditate on the Word of God and think about all the things He has already done. Has He ever let you down or failed to come through for you? Think about the many situations you have been in where God showed Himself strong on your behalf. You can trust in Him as your source of all things.

Laying hold of the promises of God means adopting an ownership mentality. This is not a mentality that is waiting for God to do something, but is one that knows what already belongs to you. The person with an ownership mentality says, “I OWN healing, deliverance, abundance, and prosperity. These things are mine!” We actually get the promises to manifest in this physical realm by releasing our faith in the grace of God that is available to bring them out of the spiritual realm and into the natural. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” It is through God’s grace that each of the promises are at your disposal.

It’s hard to have faith when you don’t have understanding of the Word of God, which is why it is important to attend a church that is actually teaching you how to live by faith. Traditional, religious mind-sets convince you that you have to try to get God to do something, but the truth is, He has already done it. Instead of praying to God to heal you, declare and admit that healing exists inside of you right now. Healing isn’t being made in some healing factory; it is already in existence! Declare that you have faith in the grace of God versus faith in your own ability to get God to move.

No matter what you are going through, or what your five physical senses are telling you, don’t allow your life to be led by your sensory mechanisms. Facts can change on a daily basis, but the truth of God’s Word never changes. It has the power to change and rearrange the facts. All God is looking for is someone who will believe and receive what He has already done.

Creflo Dollar: The Sin of Rebellion

The Sin of Rebellion - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

When you hear the word rebellion, what comes to mind? Images of revolt, chaos, and people acting in a disorderly manner are preeminent. Rebellion comes in many forms, but there is a common thread that runs through all forms of rebellion—it is a resistance to instructions. When people choose to rebel against leadership and established ground rules for conduct, they set themselves up for failure. God honors those who honor His rules. We must not operate in rebellion.

We live in a world where lawlessness is the norm, and is actually encouraged by some people. Those who disregard the Bible operate in rebellion on many different levels. In general, there is a lack of respect for those in authority and a general attitude of dishonor when it comes to institutions, laws, and people God has established as leaders. Unfortunately, the spirit of rebellion is not limited to the world and those who are not Christians. Believers also subject themselves to a spirit of rebellion when they disobey God and choose to go against His ways.

Psalm 68:6 describes the consequences of being rebellious. It says, “God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” To dwell in a “dry land” is to live a life that is marked by spiritual and natural “drought.” From a spiritual perspective, this means the blessing, wisdom, and supernatural power of God is disrupted in your life. In addition, rebellion opens the door for actual physical destruction. The Bible reveals several instances when the children of Israel died as a result of God’s judgment of their rebellion (Numbers 16).

One area of rebellion that has become all too common in the body of Christ is where church leadership is concerned. Pastors have been appointed by God to be the head of their respective church congregations. They are the set leaders of each particular fellowship of Believers and are responsible for not only preaching and teaching the Word of God but also watching over the souls of the members of their congregations. The call to pastoral leadership is not one that should be taken lightly by those called, or by those who are members of the church body.

Unfortunately, there are individuals who have no problems challenging the leadership of their church, disregarding the directives given from the pulpit, or speaking against the pastor in an attempt to get others to follow them. God finds these things dishonorable, just as he considers it dishonorable to speak against and disrespect the authorities He has set in place where the nation is concerned, including the president and law enforcement officials. He instructs us in Exodus 22:28 not to “curse the ruler of thy people.” When we speak negative words about our pastors and leaders, we are essentially cursing them and opening ourselves up to a curse.

Even when we see things we don’t agree with in our leadership, we should pray for our leaders instead of rebel against them. Prayer releases the hand of God upon their lives so they will have the wisdom they need to make the right decisions. When we follow God’s instructions to pray for those in authority over us (those in both the spiritual and natural arenas), we are promised that all will be well in our households (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Proverbs 17:11 says that evil men only seek rebellion. We don’t want to be called evil in the sight of God because we rebelled against our leaders. Instead, we should renew our minds to the truth that the office and calling of a leader is God-ordained. We should never allow the fear of being controlled to cause us to rebel. We should, instead, submit to God’s Word out of our love for Him. In doing so, we position ourselves to receive the blessing of God and the peace and security that accompany it.

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Pursue and Obtain the Promise

Pursue and Obtain the Promise - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Dr. Creflo Dollar

God’s promises are eternal, and what He has said in His Word cannot be altered in any way (Psalm 119:89). The issue is, are we pursuing the promises of God so they can materialize in our lives? There is no such thing as microwave results in the kingdom of God. If we want to experience the manifestation of God’s promises, we must do our part. By diligently doing the following steps, everything God promised us will become a reality.

Locate the promise in the Word of God.

Whatever God says is the final authority. Whether it deals with healing, finances, or deliverance, if God said it, you can bank on it. The first step to obtaining the promise is to find as many scriptures as you can in the Bible that deal with that particular issue. When you find them, begin sowing them in your heart, just as a farmer sows seed (Mark 4:14).
Believe.

When it comes to faith, doubt is an enemy to your manifestation. You must believe what God says, understanding that it is a settled issue (Psalm 119:89). If you believe and refuse to let doubt in your heart, the promise will be yours.
Settle that the promise is the will of God for you.

Sometimes we believe God can and will do things, just not for us! It is God’s will for all people to obtain His promises.
Ask God according to John 14:13, 14.

The Lord says if we ask the Father for anything, in the name of Jesus, He will answer our prayers. We know that anything that is found in the Bible is the will of God, so when we ask for these things, with the right motives in our hearts, God is faithful to answer us.
Meditate on the promise daily.

Joshua 1:8 says that we are to meditate on the Word of God day and night. Daily and nightly meditation, through studying, pondering, and speaking God’s Word aloud will build faith into our hearts.
Cultivate faith, love, and patience.

Nothing in the kingdom of God operates without faith. Faith works by love—and patience—which is remaining the same in the face of challenges, and must be employed in order to see the final outcome.
Confess the Word of God.

Don’t let a day go by without declaring the promise several times.
Employ your angels.

Angels are sent to minister to the heirs of salvation. They hearken to the voice of the Word, so keep speaking the Scriptures and put your angels to work!
Call those things that are not as though they were.
Don’t speak anything contrary to the Word concerning the matter (Proverbs 18:21).

If your mouth doesn’t change, your fruit won’t change!
Forgive.

You will not see manifestation if you are in unforgiveness (Mark 11:24).
Believe you’ve received the promise.
Live in the fear of the Lord.

A lifestyle of purity, holiness, and absolute obedience is the key to the blessing flowing in your life (Proverbs 19:23; Psalm 37:7-9).
Remain consistent.

Consistency is the key to the breakthrough.
Prayer, fasting, and obedience are critical.

The reason most Christians don’t see the results they are expecting is because one or more of these steps have not been implemented. I encourage you to go down the line and identify which of these areas you need to put to work. When our faith meets corresponding action, manifestation is inevitable. Don’t just sit back and wait for something to happen. Pursue the promises of God so you can obtain what’s rightfully yours!

Creflo Dollar: Pray for Your Leaders

Pray for Your Leaders - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Sometimes we can become so used to our usual prayer routines and requests that we let certain prayer guidelines that have been outlined in the Bible slip. One of those guidelines is the instruction to pray for those in authority. Many times, we complain about leaders and those in government, but God has called us to pray for these people so that our lives can be blessed. Praying for our president, congress, and all those in positions of authority is our God-given responsibility.

The book of First Timothy, Chapter 2, begins with some very specific instructions from the Apostle Paul. As Believers, we can also take these instructions to be for us. Verses 1-2 say, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” Interestingly, he says that the first order of business when it comes to our prayer life should be praying for others. This is something that often falls by the wayside because we can easily become consumed with our own needs and concerns. However, I believe the principle of seedtime and harvest is in operation when we obey Paul’s directive. When we pray for God to get involved in others’ lives, we actually reap a harvest of His involvement in our lives. We can never go wrong when it comes to praying for other people.

Not only does Paul say we should pray for all men, but he tells us that we should enlist a variety of prayers for people. Supplications, intercessions, and thanksgiving are three different types of prayers that have different purposes. Supplication is an urgent request that is intent and direct in purpose, intercession is standing in the gap for others so that God can intervene in their situations, and thanksgiving is characterized by prayers of praise to God for His goodness. When it comes to praying for people, these are three types of prayers that we should be mindful to pray regularly.

God wants us to pray for those in authority because our prayers can play a role in shaping the decisions, policies, and activities of the people who rule our lands. I don’t know about you, but as a Christian I want to see the hand of God move in our nation. I often say that every failure is a prayer failure. When we don’t pray for those in authority, we set our leaders up to fail. Many of them are not Christians, but God can still work through them to achieve His ultimate purposes when we pray and intercede for them. Even as it relates to supplication, we can earnestly and intensely pray for God to get involved with the decisions leaders are going to make so that our nation can stay on course with the will and plan of God.

Some people think that their prayers don’t make a difference, particularly when they see so much immorality and hopelessness around them, but the Word of God says otherwise. Second Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Prayer plays a role in getting God involved with the affairs of a nation of people and bringing healing. Included in the prayers that we should pray for our nation, should be prayers for those in authority. The power of prayer can turn situations and circumstances around that seem hopeless.

If you haven’t been praying for your nation’s leaders, now is the time to start. We are living in times of great stress, crisis, and danger. We need to cover our president, vice president, congress, military, and all other men and women in positions of leadership and authority with our prayers. In doing so, we ensure that we live peacefully and in safety. As we make leadership a priority during our prayer times, God will honor our obedience in this area. Change is one prayer away!

Creflo Dollar: Eternal Redemption

Eternal Redemption - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Many people come from religious circles that told them they could lose their salvation if they missed the mark or made a mistake. As a result, there are a lot of Christians walking around feeling a sense of continual condemnation when they sin in any form or fashion, and many even find themselves begging God for forgiveness multiple times a day, every day. The truth is that Jesus has paid the price for our sins, once and for all. Redemption is eternal, and there is nothing that can separate us from God’s love once we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. We must renew our minds to the reality of eternal redemption and walk in a consciousness of it every day. Doing so will purge us of the sin-consciousness that has been amplified in the body of Christ.

Understanding the eternal nature of Jesus’ sacrifice for us will transform the way we see ourselves and our spiritual development. The Word of God holds the keys to the truth about redemption. Hebrews 9:11-12 says, “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Prior to Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, there was a system of sacrifice for sins that involved offering animals to God in order to atone for the sins of the people. This was a system that was implemented under the Old Testament law. The priests would offer the sacrifice once a year, and it had to be done every year in order to deal with the sins of the people.

When Jesus offered Himself on the cross, He became a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind, similar to the way in which animals were used in Old Testament sacrifices to cover the people’s sins. The difference in what Jesus did, however, was that His blood didn’t just cover the sins of mankind, it literally blotted them out. Not only that, but Jesus’ blood dealt with past, present, and future sins. The sacrifice was perfect, complete, and eternal, which means its sin-cleansing effects go on forever, without end. Once you become born again, you have access to the continual cleansing power of the blood, even for sins you haven’t yet committed.

Some people may find this hard to accept, especially when scriptures like 1 John 1:9 have been used by Christians as a basis to confess their sins over and over again in an attempt to keep from going to hell or to keep God from striking them down in judgment; however, 1 John 1:9 is referencing what happens when we initially become born again. When we confess our sins at the point of accepting Jesus, He cleanses us of all unrighteousness, and we are made the righteousness of God in an instant. We no longer have to take ourselves through religious confessions of sins in an attempt to get in God’s good graces; He accepts us the moment we accept His Son. When we miss the mark, we simply repent and get back on the path to righteousness.

Please understand, God doesn’t see you as a sinner after you get saved; He sees you as the righteousness of God. Your spirit, which is the real you, is recreated in holiness and is as pure as it will ever be. Therefore, when you miss the mark, you are not sinning with your spirit because your spirit cannot and does not ever participate in sin. It is your soul and body that partake of sin, not the spirit. So when you miss it, you are still just like Jesus within your spirit. Renewing your mind on a daily basis, and making a decision to align your soul with the Word of God, will cause your spirit, soul, and body to function as one unit.

Hebrews 10:10-18 says: By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified … Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where the remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Every Believer’s recreated spirit has been perfected and made righteous; therefore, there is no need to offer continual “sacrifices” to achieve salvation. Our redemption from sin has been bought, paid for, and stamped with the seal of the Holy Spirit. All we have to do is walk in the newness of life, which God has made available to us!

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Faith That Brings Manifestation

Faith That Brings Manifestation - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Dr. Creflo Dollar

Years ago, Tina Turner recorded a song titled What’s Love Got to Do With It? In it, she refers to love as a “secondhand emotion.” The song became one of her biggest hits. Unfortunately, the song’s message can cause people to believe that love is powerless and should not be the basis for building and maintaining strong relationships. Nothing could be further from the truth. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Why do I say that? Because God is love, and His love is preeminent.

The word preeminent means, “having paramount rank, dignity or importance.” Anything that is preeminent has undoubted superiority, which makes it superior to any other force in the universe. Ultimately, everyone must give an account to the superior force of love.

God wants us to live a life of love—His agapé love. Agapé love is supernatural, unconditional, limitless, one-sided and doesn’t require love in return. It seeks the advantage, pleasure and well-being of others and doesn’t regard itself. However, most people love others according to human emotional love, which is selfish. This type of love only loves the lovely, has limits and is based on conditions.

For Believers, there is nothing more important than learning to love others. Nothing in your life—finances, family, healing and so on—will reach its fullest potential until you perfect your love walk. For instance, many Christians are quick to step out in faith only to become disappointed and frustrated when their prayers are not answered or they fail to receive breakthrough after applying the principles they’ve learned. I am not ashamed to admit that I used to experience those same frustrations. Finally, I decided to search the Scriptures for answers and made an awesome discovery: faith works by love (Galatians 5:5-6)!

It doesn’t matter how many scriptures you stand on, how hard you pray or how much seed you sow; your heart’s desires will not manifest if you have not first cultivated the fruit of love. Simply put, the love of God is the preeminent force and supersedes every faith principle, confession and good work you do.

John 14:21 says, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” If you really love God, then you will obey His commandment to walk in love (John 15:12). Fortunately, God does not give commands that we are unable to carry out. The moment people become born again the Holy Spirit takes up residence in them and fills them with God’s love and ability. Where there is love, there is faith. And faith leads to manifestation!
