Pastor Creflo Dollar: Do All Religions Lead to God?

Do All Religions Lead to God? - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesChristianity, Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Calvinism, Mormonism, Islam, what’s the difference? With great sensitivity, I embark on answering the age—old question many have pondered for centuries—Do all religions lead to God? As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, most of the world already knows my stance on this subject. Yet in this article my aim is not to bombard you with my personal thoughts, but rather give you information to consider if you or someone you know is struggling for a conclusion on this matter.

Rick Warren, a pastor and best—selling Christian author, offers an interesting interpretation to this highly debated inquiry. In response to the question, Do all religions lead to God, Warren answers: “Can I go into a phone booth and dial any phone number and get home? No, there’s only one number that’ll get me home. I could be sincere, but I could be sincerely wrong. The truth is, all roads don’t lead to Rome and all roads and all religions don’t lead to God“.

What a powerful statement! For those of you who need a reason to believe the Word, this statement will most certainly give you one. Although somewhat simplistic, Warren’s statement accurately supports the factuality of there being a solitary way to connect with God.

So how does one decide what’s the way to God? Should he or she research what religion has the best philosophies, or compare each religion to see which one makes the most sense? While some of my more theologically—inclined colleagues might applaud you for such efforts, I believe such research will subject you to the reasonings of men, and ultimately lead you away from the truth.

You connect with God by faith, not reasoning, which is why many people find it hard to understand me or accept my style of teaching. I don’t reason with the Bible, I just believe it. No one else in history, besides Jesus, died an agonizing death so I could be spared from Hell’s fire. Mohammad, Buddha, or the Dalai Lama did not give their life for me, so why should I follow them?

The one thing I want you to get out of this article is an understanding that Heaven is real, and so is Hell; when we die, we’re going to one or the other. So it’s time to stop the endless debates, and listen to Jesus—the only One who has died, went to Hell, and came back to tell about it! If you’re reading this article, I urge you to open your heart and let Jesus in. He’ll give you answers you’ve desired. Receive Him today, and allow Him to prove Himself to you; not because He has to, but because He loves you.

Creflo Dollar: Why Can’t I Say That?

Why Can’t I Say That - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesI know you’ve heard the saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” While this saying sounds good, it’s not true. Words can hurt; in fact, if used in the wrong way, words can kill.

I know you may be wondering, How can words kill? Words are a powerful force. They’re the authority in your mouth. The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Have you ever said something with a lot of passion, and realized one day the thing you said had come true? That’s because words are like the rudder of a ship. When spoken, they’ll begin to direct your life. A situation only worsens when you speak negatively about it. On the other hand, when you start speaking positively, your circumstances will change for the better.

God created the heavens and the Earth with the power of His words. You are made in His image and likeness; so likewise, you can create your world with your words. Words are more than just sounds. Behind them is great force. That force can be negative or positive. Words that line up with the Word of God will produce positive things in your life. God’s Word produces life. However, when you speak words that are opposite of life, they’ll produce negativity.

I’ve received personal testimonies that prove people have been miraculously healed of life-threatening illnesses, because they believed and spoke life to their condition. You don’t have to just accept illness. You don’t have to accept cancer. You don’t have to accept mental illness. You can take authority over everything by speaking the Word of God. Of course, I’m not saying refuse medical treatment. God uses doctors to heal people; however, you can receive treatment and still declare that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed. Do what you have to do in the natural; however, don’t allow negative words to take root in your heart! Establish God’s Word in everything you do.

The next time you’re faced with a dilemma, go to your Bible and find what the Scriptures have to say about your situation. Read the promises of God and anchor your heart and your mind on those promises. You don’t have to accept being broke and in debt all of your life. Search the Word of God and declare what it says about you. If you don’t like your circumstances, you can change them today; starting with your words!

Creflo Dollar: Walk In His Perfect Will!

Walk In His Perfect Will! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

There are certain aspects of God's will that apply to everyone. Making Jesus the Lord of your life, receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit and walking in your covenant rights as a Believer are all part of His will for mankind. But you also have a specific course to follow. He uses your gifts, talents and desires as a way to direct you to your divine destiny.

Making the most of every opportunity to develop yourself spiritually also plays a critical role in your ability to discover your purpose. Ephesians 5:15-17 admonishes believers to, “…walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

Reading God's Word daily will enable you not only to discover God's will for your life, but also to clearly see His character. Once you align your thoughts and desires with the Word, your path will be illuminated. “In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death”(Proverbs 12:28). Getting into the perfect will of God will not only protect you from hurt, harm and danger, it also guarantees favor and success.

It is critical that you not allow strife, unforgiveness or offense to get you out of God's perfect will. As your destiny unfolds, you will have many opportunities to get hurt or offended. However, instead of allowing these situations to hinder you, use them as stepping stones to your next level of spiritual growth and character development.

Your future depends on the decisions you make today, but when you allow your emotions to rule your life, you will always make bad decisions that will take you away from God's plan for you. The enemy wants to move you out of the love of God and into a position of selfishness. When that happens, you'll try to preserve yourself rather than look for opportunities to bless others. Don't allow him to do this. No matter what people may do or say to you, make a commitment to walk in the love of God. In doing so, you defeat the enemy and ensure God's blessing on your life.

It is also important that you submit your desires to God. Many times you may have a good idea about what you want to do with your life, but it may not be God's perfect plan. Make sure that you seek Him first through prayer and adequate time in His Word so that you can receive the wisdom you need to go forward. Whenever God gives you a vision for your life, He will also make provision. Pay attention to the provision and open doors that are available to you. These are signposts as to the direction you should be taking.

By making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and allowing the Word to be your final authority, you will set your course for a prosperous future. Make a quality decision to get into His perfect will and watch the path to the good life unfold before your eyes!

Pastor Creflo Dollar: Changing, Growing, Becoming!

Changing, Growing, Becoming! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

I came across a quote today that profoundly impacted me. The quote, from Charles Dubois, epitomizes the life of a Christian. It says, “The most important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.” Wow! I can’t think of a better quote that precisely and insightfully captures the true calling of Christianity.

Are you willing to sacrifice what you are now, in order to become what God has called you to be? If you’re a Christian, this is a question you need to honestly ask yourself. If your answer is no, you’ll remain stagnant in your current state—never experiencing the result of change or the beauty of growth.

For a born—again Christian, change is a necessary and perpetual facet of life. In order to become everything God has called us to be, not only do we have to embrace change, we have to learn to love it. God makes masterpieces on the canvas of our lives; and everyday we have the opportunity to work with Him in creating a work of art. By the leading of His Spirit, we must be willing to make the necessary adjustments so God can continue the work He started in us.

Do you know what happens to a person who becomes so complacent in their current existence they refuse to change? They never grow, and in extreme cases, they live their entire life with unfulfilled greatness. Don’t let that be your story!

Jesus was a great example of what it means to sacrifice what we are, for what we can become. He embodied change, and allowed His entire life to be a sacrifice. As a result, He now sits at the right hand of the Father. Notice, however, what He ultimately achieved began with His willingness to lay down all for God’s will.

Just think, if Jesus hadn’t willingly sacrificed His life, you and I would not have unrestricted access to the Father. I don’t know about you, but the sacrifice Jesus made motivates me to sacrifice what I am, so I can grow and become what God has destined me to be.

Do you really want to grow into the person God’s called you to be? Because if you do, then change is the order of business! Don’t be consumed with what you are right now; submit your life to God as a sacrifice, and focus on what you will become.

Creflo Dollar: God’s Love is Unfailing

God’s Love is Unfailing - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

When things go wrong in your life, do you look to the world’s methods of solving problems before going to God? Do you put more trust in the institutions of this world’s system than you do the Word of God? As Christians, we must put our hope and faith in God’s way of doing things. This type of trust only develops by cultivating your relationship with Him.

How would you feel if you had a way to help someone you loved but you were the last person they turned to? That could be hurtful because you never want to be someone’s last resort, particularly if you have a relationship with them and they know you well. Likewise, God does not want you to choose Him after everything else you have tried has failed. As your heavenly Father, He wants to be the one you come to first.

Throughout His Word, God is always communicating the message to His children, “If you would give me top consideration, I will prove Myself to you. I will feed you. I will clothe you. I will take care of you. You don’t have to worry.”

Many people cannot understand this type of love. Perhaps because they have never been shown unconditional love, they fail to understand how someone could love them this way. They have a difficult time accepting that our Heavenly Father loves us so much He gave His only begotten Son to save us from our sins. He forgives us time and time again, presenting us with new opportunities to serve Him each day.

Today, I want you to see Him as a loving Father who wants to pour out His blessings upon your life. He wants to chase you down with mercy, grace, and favor! He wants to spend time fellowshipping with you as He would a best friend, but you must be willing to take time to develop your relationship with Him.

God knows everything you need before you ask Him. I know you are probably thinking, Well, if He knows, why don’t He just give them to me? Maybe you have not asked Him according to His Word! Or, you may have asked with selfish, lustful motives. You may have neglected to give Him priority in your life. However, you can make a correction starting today!

God reveals His loving nature through His Word because He is love. Time and time again throughout my life He has showered me with His love through His Word. I had to get acquainted with His Word by studying and meditating on it. I had to develop that personal relationship on my own.

Our relationship with Him can serve as a model for all our relationships. When we live our life according to His Word, we learn to love people unconditionally. God is the designer of healthy, loving relationships. Through His Word He urges all mankind to choose Him, draw near to Him, trust Him, believe Him, and to never forget His love for us.

Pastor Creflo Dollar: How do I Hear His Voice?

How do I Hear His Voice? - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Have you ever become frustrated because you were not able to hear God’s voice? I know how frustrating it feels because I have been there. Hearing from God is something many Believers struggle with, particularly when they first become born again. If you are not hearing from God, let me assure you, He does want to speak to you. However, you must release your faith to hear and receive His instructions. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice.” He declares that if you belong to Him, you will hear Him speak. The question you must ask yourself is, “Am I truly His?”

Sheep are vulnerable creatures. In the Bible, shepherds cared for them and spent a considerable amount of time with them. The sheep learned to depend on the shepherd to provide their daily needs, and to protect them from harm. Because of this daily fellowship and interaction, these animals became so familiar with the shepherd; they knew him just as a child would know their mother and father.

The word, know, is an intimate word. The Bible says Adam knew his wife, Eve. In this context, the word is translated “intercourse,” or an intermingling. Understand that intimacy is not relegated to sexual relationships, but it means having extremely close fellowship with someone. For example, there are probably people in your life with whom you share your most private information. These people are close to you because you have developed a relationship with them over time. You trust them enough to allow them in your “holy of holies.”

Likewise, in order to develop a closer relationship with God, and be able to recognize His voice when He speaks, you must spend time cultivating your relationship with Him, just as you would a close friend. How do you do this? By spending time in His Word and in prayer.

As you develop that intimate relationship with the Father, you will begin to recognize when He is leading you. God will guide you through your human spirit, which is your conscience. Pay attention to the “hunches” or inner impressions you have about a particular situation. If you have spent quality time in God’s Word, and prayed in the Spirit, you can trust those inward leading. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path.

If you have any questions about what you are hearing or feeling, allow the peace of God to determine whether you should proceed or not. This is when the Holy Spirit testifies with your spirit that something is right or wrong. Do not ignore “checks” in your spirit. Again, you will have more confidence in what you are hearing when you have been reading and meditating on His Word.

Hearing from God is not hard, it just takes faith. Over time, your hearing will become crystal clear. The more you fellowship with God and practice His presence, your confidence in your ability to hear from Him will grow!

The Kingdom of God System: A Higher Way of Living

Creflo Dollar

Did you know you can live a stress-free life in the midst of economic hardship, financial crises, and shortage? As amazing as it may sound, you can thrive and prosper in the midst of hard times. It just depends on the system in which you are operating. Those who belong to God have a higher way of life available to them because of their covenant with God. When you know your rights and the promises of God outlined in His Word, you will have absolutely no fear in the midst of chaos.

Make no mistake about it, the world’s system is failing. What is the world’s system? It is Satan’s way of doing things. Based on selfishness and fear, the world’s system is the opposite of God’s Kingdom. For example, when you need money, the world system tells you to go borrow or use credit to meet your needs. Its goal is to get you in financial bondage, not freedom. On the other hand, the Kingdom of God system is based on seedtime and harvest. When you have a financial need, you sow a seed and reap a harvest. God’s way of providing for His people has no strings attached.

Another example of the difference between these two systems is in the area of healing. The world’s way says when something is wrong physically to flood your body with medicine. While there is nothing wrong with getting the necessary treatment from a doctor when you need it, God’s way of doing things brings lasting healing. His wisdom, healing scriptures, and specific instructions to you regarding your health are better medicine than any doctor can provide.

God’s Kingdom is your safety net in the midst of turbulence. He has a promise for every situation you may face in this world. Job 5:22 says, “At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the Earth.” What a promise! That means when lack and shortage seem to loom all around you, you will be the one having the last laugh! Psalm 91 is also full of promises that guarantee protection from danger and destruction on every level.

The key to operating in God’s system is seedtime and harvest. You do not have to worry where your next meal is coming from or how your bills are going to be paid when you know your God. Your job, in God’s system, is to seek His way of doing things, which means sowing seed. When you focus your efforts on being a seed-sower, everything else will be added to you. There is nothing too hard for God, and as long as you have seed in the ground and are living your life in obedience to His Word, you have a harvest of abundance coming your way! When the world is freaking out, wondering what will happen next, you will be safely positioned in the secret place of the Most High God!

Developing a Kingdom mindset is going to take getting in the Word and renewing your mind. All our lives we have been trained to operate according to the world’s system; we must unlearn those old ways and habits and receive a new “download.” God’s thoughts are higher than the world’s and so are His plans for your life. You have a right to total life prosperity, in good times and bad. All you have to do is receive it by faith and learn to operate in God’s Kingdom.
