Integrity: The Key to Living Life Without Deception
Author: Creflo Dollar
Have you ever told a lie, or exaggerated the truth? Or, do you engage in situational ethics in order to get ahead in life? Lying, exaggerating the truth and being less than forthright in your dealings with other people all have one thing in common: a lack of integrity. When you make a habit of not walking uprightly before the Lord, it will become a habit that will propel your life in the wrong direction. For this reason, it is critical that you develop a life of integrity so that you can reap all the benefits God has promised you in His Word. From telling the truth to being honest at work, integrity is a critical part of your walk with God.
What does it mean to be a person of integrity? In simple terms, being a person of integrity means that you do what is right because it is right. It is demonstrating character. Living a life of integrity means being honest, trustworthy and reliable. It is who you are when no one is looking. A person of integrity represents the Kingdom of God in ways that demonstrate to the world the character, power and love of God.
Your words determine whether you display the character of integrity. Words have power and what you say can impact others in a profound way. For example, when you tell a lie, you not only have the potential to deceive yourself, but you destroy trust and respect where other people are concerned. Being dishonest can cause a domino effect that can hurt you and damage your relationships with friends, family and coworkers. On the other hand, when you speak the truth in love and make sure that your words line up with the Word of God, you can create a positive outcome in life and fortify the character of integrity you are seeking to develop.
Be mindful that you don’t allow deception to creep into your life unawares. The enemy will try everything he can to separate you from God. He does this by creating situations that challenge your faith and belief in God’s Word. He wants you to make decisions that go against what God has said and then convince you that sin isn’t so bad. However, Psalm 25:21 says, “Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.” I encourage you to stand on the Word when the temptation to sin comes. Doing so demonstrates integrity.
Lying is not the only way that you deceive others and yourself. You can live a life of deception as well. Any time you do not purpose to live as God intended or according to His plan for your life, you demonstrate your lack of trust in Him and His Word. One responsibility that Christians have is to uphold God’s Word through their lifestyle. Don’t allow the world’s standards to govern your life. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not, but instead seek God’s purpose for your life and make His Word your final authority.
Being truthful is a choice. Like any attribute of a Believer’s life, integrity can release blessings if you choose to live a life based on truth. When you indulge in dishonesty, there is a consequence. The Bible says, “The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out” (Proverbs 10:9, NIV). Decide today that you will avoid the crooked paths and live in the freedom that our Father promised.
Overcoming the spirit of deception and deciding to be a person of integrity is one of many tests that you will face. I encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and meditate on His Word in an effort to grow and mature in your walk with Him. By applying the Word of God to your life, you can be a person of truth and integrity.

Let Agapé Love Flow
Creflo Dollar – World Changers Church
Author: Creflo Dollar
Are you walking in the love of God? Sometimes it can be challenging as you go through your daily interactions with people to maintain a mindset of love, especially when someone has hurt you or said something that offended you. But Jesus said that walking in love is the first and great commandment. First you are called to love God and then love others. Love is the foundation for every principle in the Bible. Prosperity, deliverance and healing all hang on the law of love. If things are not working properly in your life, it may be that the love of God is not flowing the way it should.
As Believers, we are commissioned to walk in love. In Matthew 22:37–40 Jesus says, “…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” First Corinthians 13:2 says, “and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing” (New International Version). Love is the distinguishing characteristic of every Believer. It is the evidence showing that you are filled with the Spirit of God.
Cultivating your love walk means walking in the agape love of God. Agape love is supernatural love that comes from God. It is not human, emotional love. It is unconditional and does not depend on being loved in order to love. Agape love is not based on emotions and has nothing to do with how you feel.
Agape love is choosing to let God, Himself, love through you against all human feelings and emotions you may encounter. It is concerned about preserving others and is so strong that it will allow you to love your enemies and bless those that curse you. Agape love surpasses human love; which is a conditional, two sided love that only wants to love what’s lovable.
Human love must be pleased and will only love if it is loved in return. It is all about self–preservation and has the premise of selfishness. However, when you become a Christian, your life belongs to God and you have the ability, through the Holy Spirit, to love others the agape way (Romans 5:5).
When you seek to retaliate against others when they hurt you, rather than walking in love, you demonstrate your lack of trust in God’s ability to vindicate you. Self–preservation is a result of fear. It shows that you trust your own ability to handle situations more than you trust God. When you hold on to anger, pain and other forms of hurt you are responsible to deal with it. But when you release those things to God, they are His responsibility and not yours.
God tells us to overcome evil with good. When you operate with love, even when it’s hard, you demonstrate your love for God and His way of doing things. Romans 12:19 says, “Avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” He is well–able to handle these types of situations.
The enemy will always try to get you to walk in selfishness instead of agape love. Love is where true power lies, and if the enemy can get you out of love he can defeat you. Fear and hurt will always quench God’s love in you so don’t allow these things to get a foothold in your life. Make a quality decision to walk in the love of God and remove selfishness. Trust God and cast your cares on Him. This will open the door for you to receive His abundance in every area of your life.
God is love and love never fails (1 John 4:16; 1 Corinthians 13:8). When love is released, God is released into your situations and circumstances. Allow the agape love of God to flow into your life; you will see God’s divine intervention.

Creflo Dollar: Does God Allow Trials?
Have you ever gone through a rough time in life, but later realized that God was actually trying to show you something about yourself through the experience? While it is true that God is love, He will sometimes use affliction and difficult situations to get your attention and cause you to focus on Him. Often, there is an area of your character that needs development. This may be a hard concept for some of us to accept, but even though God is a loving and merciful Father, He will allow us to go through things in order to discipline us and bring us into closer fellowship with Him.
Some people think that every trying circumstance is “from the devil” but this simply isn’t true. When I began to research the Word, I discovered there were people who went through trials and emerged better and more prepared to do God’s work. In the midst of challenges, they cried out to Him and learned to trust His sovereignty.
The prophet Jonah ignored God’s directions for His life, and had to go through a horrific situation before he acknowledged God and became willing to obey Him (Jonah 1–2). He cried out to the Lord in the midst of his affliction. God rescued him and he went on to fulfill God’s plan for his life. The Apostle Paul’s faith was strengthened and he learned the value of perseverance for the Kingdom of God through the things he suffered for the gospel (2 Corinthians 11:22–27; 2 Corinthians 4:8).
Trials also allow you the opportunity to exercise your faith. Just as a body builder cannot build bigger, stronger muscles without applying intense pressure to them, neither can you become a spiritual, faith giant unless you experience situations that force you to trust God’s Word. Psalm 119:71 says, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn Your statutes” (The Amplified Bible). Our heavenly Father will allow us to go through things so that we can develop a relationship with His Word.
God allows trials in our lives because:
He loves us and wants us to be healed.
Many times our healing is in the midst of our challenges. It is there that we discover how and where we need to change, grow and be healed from past hurt and pain.
He wants our attention.
God loves us so much that when He sees us going in the wrong direction, He will allow something to happen that gets our attention and causes us to turn around. Then, He can show us a better way of doing things.
He wants every hindrance that keeps us from being fully yielded to Him, removed.
How do we know we have made certain things or people idols? We know when we are giving more attention to them than God. He will allow a trial to take place in your life to remove every hindrance that’s stopping you from focusing on your relationship with Him.
He wants us to love Him.
I know when rough times have occurred in my life, I was forced to increase my personal time with the Father and show Him I loved Him. At the end of the ordeal, I was much closer to God than I was before.
Don’t be so quick to blame every trial on the devil. Instead, examine your life and look for areas in which you may have let some things slip where your relationship with God is concerned. Allow Him to show you where you may have missed it and be quick to repent and turn around. Use trials as opportunities to grow spiritually and exercise faith. You will always come out the victor!

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Defend Your Mind
Do you think change is easy? Ask anyone who has tried to break a bad habit, or change a wrong mindset and attitude, and you will discover change doesn’t always feel good. It involves renewing your mind and replacing wrong mindsets with God’s way of thinking and doing things. It also involves defending your mind against wrong thoughts. The daily battle confronting you, when you decide to change, takes place in your mind. The enemy may lead you to believe you can’t change or that it is too difficult; however, be steadfast in maintaining a mindset that is focused on God and His Word. This will be the key to your success.
How do you defend your mind? You do it by capturing wrong thoughts when they come. Whenever you begin thinking in a way that doesn’t line up with the Word, cast those wrong thoughts down by speaking God’s Word.
Guarding your mind takes discipline and diligence. Satan’s objective is to get you to receive the negative thought, speak it and act on it. Once you act on something he has suggested, you activate a negative cycle in your life. This is where your resolve must kick in.
Second Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” God isn’t going to defend your mind for you; it’s your responsibility. With the Word of God in your mouth and in your heart, you can defeat the enemy’s suggestions every time.
Regardless of whether your old issues are completely resolved, once you decide to go in a new direction, you have taken the first step toward change. Make a consistent effort to keep wrong thoughts of your past out of your mind. Learn from your mistakes and press forward. Get rid of “stinking thinking” and fill your mind with the truth of the Word by studying and meditating on the Scriptures daily.
Wrong thoughts don’t have to rule your life. Guard your mind by being careful about what you look at, listen to and talk about with others. God has given you authority over every aspect of your life, including your own mind! Fight bad thoughts with God’s Word.
Every day you will have the opportunity to go back to old ways of thinking. From your interactions with others, to personal decisions, you will have to choose God’s thoughts over your own. You can do it! You’re not alone on your road to change; the Spirit of God and His Word are there to help you. Decide today to turn away from anything that doesn’t line up with His Word.
Ephesians 4:21—24 declares, “Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” This is your new identity in Christ Jesus. Put forth your best effort to keep yourself in the right frame of mind. Stay in the Word and keep out the wrong influences as an act of your will. When you become a good custodian over your thought life, you will be victorious over negative thoughts.

Creflo Dollar: Working for God
Developing life skills is a very important and often overlooked aspect of living the Christian life. Many times, Believers are so spiritual that they are no earthly good, or they are so earthly, they are no spiritual good. There must be a balance between the two. One area that needs to be addressed is where working is concerned. While the word work may be a dirty word to some people, it is vital to your success. Contrary to popular belief, the blessings of God aren’t just going to fall out of the sky. God wants to bless you and He needs you to do your part. Working is a channel through which He is able to flow His blessings to you.
Everything in life is governed by spiritual laws. There are certain established principles that will work for anyone who will get involved. In discussing life–management skills, one law that needs to be addressed is the law of diligent, hard work. It is the corresponding action that releases God to put His super on your natural ability. When you make a commitment to be a diligent, hard worker who has a job, business or provides a service for someone, you position yourself for increase.
Some people think the key to becoming wealthy lies primarily in their giving of financial offerings in church. While God expects you to give, let’s get practical; giving alone will not cause you to get rich! Giving may establish the spiritual aspect of the blessing in your life; however, working provides the actual channel for that blessing to be released into your hands.
Let’s look at Abraham as an example of how the law of giving and diligent, hard work operate hand in hand. Genesis 14:18–20 gives an account of Abraham being a tither. It says:
Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Abraham understood the principles of exchange. For him to spiritually lay hold of the blessing, he had to give something of value to a man of God. The Bible also says that Abraham raised cattle; that was his job. As a result of the blessing being on his work, the Word says he was wealthy (Genesis 13:2).
There is honor in work. Not only does it give you a sense of accomplishment and pride in what you do, it is honorable before the Lord. Did you know that even the Father works? Jesus says in John 5:17, “But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” God is not idly sitting by watching things happen on Earth. He is actively working in conjunction with the prayers and obedience of mankind to bring His purposes to pass on the Earth. Since we are reflections of Him, we should also have a mindset that is intent upon working to accomplish the will of God for our lives, both spiritually and in the natural realm.
If you are currently unemployed, understand that God respects and honors diligent hard work. In essence, you need to get a job! In addition, allow the Lord to give you business ideas that can position you to be independently wealthy by providing a service for someone who needs it. If you have a job or business, make a quality decision to be the best worker you can be. When you are diligent, consistent and work in excellence, you position yourself for increase and promotion from God.
Today is your day to go to another level in your life. Doing the practical things necessary to achieve success and financial freedom is essential. God gives everyone a choice to receive abundance or walk in lack; it is up to you. Choose today to get on the path to wealth by activating the law of diligent, hard work.

Due Season: Receiving What Is Yours
Have you been standing on the Word and believing God for certain things to come to pass; to happen for you? Perhaps you have been preparing for a specific dream or goal. Well, your time to receive the good that God meant for you is now. All it takes is your faith to believe it. While you wait to see the natural manifestation of what you believe, your patience and trust in God will be tested. The Bible talks about seedtime and harvest, which means there is a time to sow, a time to wait and a time to reap what you have sown. Don’t be discouraged, or allow frustration that accompanies impatience to deter your perseverance. Remember, for everything in life there is a due season. And due season always comes.
God loves you, and every season of your life is appointed by Him for a specific purpose that is ultimately for your good. Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” There is no doubt that you will endure both the good and bad times; trials and triumphs; but be encouraged by the fact that no matter what you endure, everything you’ve been meditating on and believing for to come to pass in your life will happen if you don’t give up.
The typical response to having to wait is to grow anxious as you wonder, “When is my harvest coming?” or “When is my breakthrough going to show up?” But understand that all your wants and needs are provided for by your heavenly Father. Cast your cares on Him and continue to stand on, confess and believe God’s Word.
Sometimes, while you are waiting, impatience can usher in a flood of doubt and cause you to become weary. You’ve been sowing seed, believing and confessing the Word; your time of harvest is coming. You must establish in your heart and mind that every promise of God has a particular time to be made manifest. If you don’t stay focused on this truth, frustration and the temptation to quit will arise and you won’t see the end of your faith.
One thing you can be sure of, when dealing with God, is that there is never a question of whether something is going to happen that He said in His Word. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” When you renew your mind to the fact that God’s Word always comes to pass, you position yourself to no longer walk in the doubt of whether or not it will show up. Get rid of the “if” mentality and get into the expectancy of “when” it’s going to happen.
When you develop expectancy, God is obligated to fulfill your expectation from His Word. When you do this, your confidence in the Word and its promises will soar. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward” (Hebrews 10:35).
Don’t give up, don’t cave in, don’t quit because your “when” is right around the corner! Start preparing today for your time of harvest. Get excited and rejoice!

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Heaven Bound
Is God real? What about Satan? Is Heaven a literal place of existence? What about Hell? Everyday millions of people ponder these same questions. Struggling to gain truth of this matter is a reality for Believers and unbelievers alike. Millions of people believe life ends at death. They’ve concluded that death means sleeping and existing in a state of nothingness. However, the reality according to God’s Word is the grave is not the end!
As humans, we’re born into this physical world. We’re educated in this physical world, and therefore we only understand the things of this world. However, physical training does not equip us with the ability to comprehend spiritual things like the reality of life after death.
In order to understand this complex topic we must explore and understand the anatomy of man. Man is a spirit being—he doesn’t have a spirit, he is a spirit. He possesses a soul, where his emotions and intellect reside; and he lives in a physical body.
Because we live in a physical world, we’ve been trained to believe the physical body we see is our entire existence, but that’s untrue. The spirit of man is eternal—it lives forever. When we die, our spirit and soul separates from our physical body. Once that happens, we separate from the physical world, and are immediately born into the spirit world, where our spirit and soul will live forever.
Heaven, Hell, angels, and demons exist in the spirit realm, and when we depart from this physical realm and enter the spiritual realm, we will see the reality of this truth. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. However this is only true for the person who is born again. For the person who is not born again, being absent from the body is to be present in Hell.
So what happens to the person who refuses to accept this truth, and dies having been bewitched by the world into thinking that Heaven and Hell aren’t real? The harsh reality of their self—made reservation to Hell will quickly set in, and the truth they’ve heard and rejected will torment them for eternity. Don’t let this happen to you!
I urge you to decide to make Jesus the Lord of your life now! Don’t allow another day to pass without knowing with certainty that you’re Heaven bound. Now is the acceptable time. You can be born again right now, wherever you are, by realizing and admitting that you are a sinner. Repent and ask God to forgive your sins; change your heart, your mind, and your direction. Then, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Once you complete these simple steps you’re saved and on your way to Heaven. Get connected to a Bible—based church, and allow the power of God to transform your life. You’ll be glad you did!

Then, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Once you complete these simple steps you’re saved and on your way to Heaven. Get connected to a Bible—based church, and allow the power of God to transform your life. You’ll be glad you did!
