Funny how a few tweets can sometimes pass along something important.  Many of you know John L. Allen Jr. from his CNN and NPR commentary about the Vatican.  He was a senior journalist at the National Catholic Reporter for 16 years and is now covering "all things Catholic" as an Associate Editor at the Boston Globe and at Crux.  And he is an author, his latest, "The Francis Miracle," coming out Tuesday about Pope Francis.

GOD'S BANKERS is my 12th book over 29 years. My wife, Trisha Posner, has had two different editions published of her own book. This is the third time that one of our books has made the New York Times hardcover nonfiction bestseller list (coming in at lucky #13). In a crowded and very competitive field, with many more celebrity-penned tomes making the list, I feel very fortunate indeed. It is as exciting to see in the Sunday Times as it was back in 1993 for Case Closed.
