A mirror is a point of focus.  You step in front of a mirror with a set intention, to view the body and make a judgment.  Think upon this.  Is it not so?  It is merely for the purpose of judging the body or its adornments.  In many cases, your mind is made up before you see the reflection, is it not?  It is difficult to see with the eyes of the soul when the focus is on the physical.  Difficult, but not impossible.

Set the intention when you step in front of the mirror that the focus will remain on the greater aspect of All That Is.  When a reflection reveals itself, remain neutral, as the soul always is.  See the body anew from this neutral viewpoint that has love as its essence.  What are you seeing?  A physical form that has much to tell you.  Remain neutral and hear the story with compassion.  Yes, compassion can be neutral.  Compassion does not judge.

You may not be able to love what you see in the mirror.  This tells you that you have shifted your focus from spirit to human.  That is all right.  You have taken the first step.  We are not asking you to change your self-image, but to allow the True Self to emerge from within.  Take your time.  You have eternity to grow.

Whole

Integrity … why is it so important?  Higher choices are always those which are in alignment with Truth.  Lower choices are dissonant.  All aspects of the Higher Self work in harmony to show you what is the highest choice.  The physical self cringes and twinges when decisions, actions, choices, thoughts, and words are not in alignment with the highest good.  The spirit nudges you through intuition.  That “gut feeling” is of the soul when you are pondering something that is less than the greatest good.  All work together.  They are integral.  Do you see?  In-tegr-ity.  Aim to always be in alignment, and you cannot go wrong.

Note from Suzanne:  I love this.  I had never put the two words together (integrity and integral).  I looked up "integral" after typing the message and found this:  "of, relating to, or belonging as a part of the whole; necessary to the completeness of the whole."  When I think of "integrity," it is always with the definition meaning:  "adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty", but the dictionary shows it also means, "the state of being whole, entire, undiminished; a perfect condition." How absolutely perfect to show us this in the context of our physical and spirit selves being in alignment.  Adherence to ethical principles always takes us toward wholeness. Thank you, Sanaya!

Lazy

Lazy days with time spent sitting by a river or drifting on a raft.  How often do you enjoy such an experience?  The term “lazy” to some carries a negative feeling accompanied by the thought that you must be doing something or going somewhere.  “Lazy” can just as well carry a positive feeling of relaxation and ease.  We ask you to examine how the word “lazy” feels to you, and you may just discover an obstacle to peace.  Love yourself no matter what.  That is the bottom line.

Deserving

Deserving ... what does this mean?  That you are worthy, have merited something.  Imagine a culture in which some are deemed more deserving than others, more worthy based on possessions, beauty,or other such temporal things. Such a society would be laughable, would it not?
If you are laughing, then you understand about the soul and how all are loveable, and that there is no such concept as deserving, for deserving would infer an opposite.  Where there are no opposites, there is only the purest of love.  Part of you exists in such a world now.  Another part of you exists in the other.
Do not despair, simply slip away every once in awhile to that state of mind where you become aware of your true self and know that you are loved no matter what. You always have been, but in the struggle for "deserving" you forgot.

The Power of One

The beauty of a flower in the desert
Stands out amid the starkness.
The light of one lantern
Stands out in the darkness.
Love is like that.

Where there is hatred, anger, and sadness,
Bring in the Light.
Where there is fear and worry,
With your peaceful presence take away the fright.
You, as Love, can do that.

Be aware of the power ... the power of One.
One flower, one lantern, one soul
To be noticed
To make a difference
To take what is broken and make it whole.

In Harmony

Resonance is all-important.  Each of you plays your own unique tune.  When you meet another, you instantly know at a soul level whether your combined tunes are in harmony or not.  If dissonant, you will want nothing to do with the other.  If you must be in the same space as another with whom you are not in resonance and find peace, you can either change your tune or learn to tolerate dissonance by rising above it.  Everything is energy including you.  Do you need to change your tune when clashing with another, or is your tune already one of such great beauty and light that others will start humming it?

Pressure-Free

There is never any pressure, except that which is self-imposed.  Why do you feel the stress and angst?  Did someone tell you that it is necessary?  You are perfect the way you are.  The outcome of your efforts does not change this.  You are loved no matter what happens in this life you are experiencing.  At some point it will come to an end, and in a flash of light will you realize that you still exist and you are still loved.

You cannot die, and you are loved.  Are these not the two fears which lead one to feel pressured?  If you can come to a place where you know these truths—that you cannot die and that you are loved--then you will be pressure-free.  Remove the “pressure” from this last phrase and from your life, and what are you?  You are free.

Note from Suzanne:  I had the opportunity to share my work with 80 students at the University of Arizona this week.  Afterwards I received comments and some questions from each student (All comments were anonymous).  I felt that others might find my response informative, so they are now on my "Suzanne's News and Musings Blog."  Here's the link:  http://suzannegiesemannwhatsnew.blogspot.com/2015/04/inquiring-minds.html

Finding the Alternatives

“I have no choice!” you cry, and you are mistaken.  You simply do not care for the alternative.  Perhaps that alternative fills you with fear.  Perhaps you feel it will hurt another.  That is what you mean by “no choice,” but there are always alternatives.  The choices become easier to make when you rise above the drama.  Who is it who is involved in the drama?  Players on a stage.  Who is it who observes from above?  The real you—an eternal being with Love at the center.  How would love act, knowing that there is no death of the soul and that all humans are on earth to be the Presence of Love?  Now you can see that there is always a choice, and the higher the choice, made from the Highest possible perspective, the more peace you will find.

Loveable

No one has told you enough how beautiful you are.  No one has said to you enough, “You are so loveable.”  And so, when you hear these words from another, you are drawn to them like a magnet.  You bloom as your heart opens upon hearing such words and feeling the energy.  Feel it now:  You are a beautiful soul!  You are so very loved.  You always have been, no matter what others may have told you or what you have experienced.

The challenge is that you cannot depend upon others to meet your needs, to say what you think you need to hear.  So what do you do?  Recognize that all needs are already met, beautiful soul.  You have forgotten to look beyond the human side to the part of you that IS love.  There you find unchanging beauty, undying love.  Focused there, on the soul, you realize you need never look outside yourself or depend upon another to stroke you.  Look inside yourself and know who you are.  Then, perhaps, you will realize it has always been true that you are not here to be loved, but to be love. Note from Suzanne:  The other day I posted on my website the video of the message I delivered at the Center for Spiritual Living in Dallas.  It parallels Sanaya’s message today about seeing our innate magnificence.  To view this 18 minute clip with evidence given to me from the other side, click hereor visit http://www.suzannegiesemann.com/videos/

Right There

Johnny on the Spot.  Who is he?  The one who always jumps to get things done—always there when you need him … oh, so reliable.  You could each use your own Johnny on the Spot, could you not?  And you have one.  Turn within when life becomes too challenging, when answers elude you.  Ask for Johnny to help you.

So many of you wish to know the names of your unseen helpers.  Do they truly need a name, or are they simply Light, as you are?  They are there every time you need them, when you need them, with just the right answers.  You will discover this as you get in the habit of trusting their presence and asking for help.  Johnny on the Spot they are.  Call them what you like, but use them.
