Undying

Roses on a gravestone.  Ashes on a shelf.  The love of your life is gone.  Or so you think.  This is when we ask you not to think.  Thinking takes you to the false belief that your beloved is never to be seen or felt again.  Oh, how thinking does you a disservice.  Get out of your head and abide in your heart.  This is where your beloved awaits you.  This is where they speak to you, at times in a whisper, at others in a shout.

“I live!  I am here!  I have never left your side.  Please, I beg you, do not think that.  Meet me in the heart, which knows the truth.”

The head will try to tell you that the sense you have of your loved one’s presence is foolishness.  Be a fool, then.  Do what it takes to set thinking aside.  It matters not what others think.  They have not felt what your heart knows.  And yes, the heart knows, beyond thinking, what is real, and that is love … everlasting and undying.

You cannot kill the spirit.  Death is not the end.  Ask the heart.  When your thinking brain no longer serves you, then you will be joined once again with those you have lost.  Do not give it a second thought.

The Most to Teach You

All are of the Spirit … not just the beautiful beings, not just those who smile, not just those who make your time worthwhile.  The same spirit that breathes you breathes all others.  Those who seem the least of you may in fact be kings.  Make an effort to spend time with those you might not be drawn to.  The last one chosen for your team may well have the most to teach you.  All are in your path for a reason.  If you do not want them on your team, what can you learn from that?

Always the Answer

Compassion is always the answer, for it is born of love.  When you do not know how to respond in the face of very human reactions, whether of another or even yourself, turn on the compassion.  Compassion does not say, “I agree with your actions.”  It does not say, “I like what you say.”  Compassion says, “I know that we as humans are often less than loving, but inside each of us is a place where we are equals.  From that place of pure spirit, I connect with you and send you love.”  That is compassion.

Revealed

The real you is concealed behind a costume.  You call it a body.  The real you will not disappear when the body lives no more, for the real you is eternal.  You exist to grow in this realization, but the real you has always known this.  It is the body which has concealed this truth.  And so, it is merely a matter of stripping away the costume bit by bit.  Most humans do not like being naked.  They feel somehow ashamed and exposed in this state, but is this not learned behavior?  All of life is about unlearning.  The body is beautiful, to be sure, but what lies behind the costume is beautiful beyond measure.  Unlike the body, it is the same within all of you:  pure spirit … Love.  It is what binds you, connects all of you as one, yet masked in your bodies you do not see it.  Be naked in spirit and feel the love.

That's the Spirit

That sense you have that someone in spirit is around?  Honor that.  That feeling that the dream you had was a visit?  Honor that.  You are consciousness … spirit here and now.  Those you think you have lost are consciousness … spirit here and now.  How else would you experience those in spirit except through the spirit … with consciousness, which is omnipresent and separate from the body?  Is it all in your imagination?  What is imagination, but the non-physical use of consciousness?  You are all in the imagination of Consciousness.

Those who have passed are not dead and gone.  Their bodies may have returned to dust, but the spirit is as alive as yours is and always will be.  Honor that.  Speak to them, share with them, and continue loving them as they do with you now and always.  How could it be any other way, when all that exists is consciousness … spirit?

Feeling better now?  That’s the spirit.  Honor that.

How You Could

“How could you?”  Three disparate words, which when put together and added to another phrase bring your vibration instantly plummeting to earth.  “How could you be so ___?"  "How could you do such a thing?”  "How could you, how could you?"  Do you see the effect that words can have on you?  But only if you allow them to.

How you could allow this to happen is quite simple.  You are human.  Words have been used against you in the past like weapons designed to cut, and they were most effective.  From the moment you began to awaken, however, and you remembered that you are only temporarily human but also an eternal spirit, you began to take back your power.  Realize now the power of words to take you instantly back to that state of slumbering.  Acknowledge that you sleep no longer and do not fall into the trap of believing you must act upon the vibrations certain words carry. How could you have done anything less than loving in the past?  Because you were in human-mode.  Now you know better.

Checking In

How many times throughout your busy day do you think about one who is not physically present, such as a dear friend or parent?  If you are honest, you will admit that at times you can spend most of a day so fully focused on your own life that one who is beloved by you does not come to mind.  This is how it often is with your unseen helpers in spirit.  They are there to lead and guide you, but so busy do you become and so focused on your physical world that it becomes easy to forget your other Team.  In so doing, you are missing out on a vital source of assistance.  Take a break every now and then—a vital love break—to reconnect with the greater aspect of you.  It need not detract from your busy schedule.  That five minutes that you would take to check your messages, you could check in with your higher self.  Do this several times a day.  Take a spirit break, and you will find the connection quite refreshing.

Controlling

How much control do you have?  As much as you want.  The question becomes, how much peace do you want?  Control is of the ego, peace is of the spirit.  The two cannot exist well together.  The more you try to control a situation or others, the farther you are from a state of peace.  The more at peace you are, the less desire you have to control anyone or anything.  Are you afraid of being out of control?  Fear is also of the ego.  Do you wish to be a prisoner of ego or a free spirit?  Why do you feel the need to control?  For you are focusing on the false you.   It is that simple.

In Review

The question has been asked:  Is there a review of the life upon passing to spirit?  This has been reported by those who taste a bit of the world beyond, but who return immediately to enjoy more of the earth experience.  The answer is yes.  All are treated to a slide show of sorts in which scenes of an entire earthly existence are played out in rapid succession.  But these are not static photos.  These are full-immersion replays in an instant during which the soul re-lives those moments which either added to or detracted from the soul’s growth.  You will re-experience the moments that you have enjoyed, and those you have buried in your memory, and those which you though mattered not at all, but in fact mattered greatly.

You can have such a review now if you wish, but it takes courage.  You know of those still in basic school who take advanced courses, do you not?  You can be like them and perform an experiential life review whilst sitting in the silence.  Ask to be shown where and when you might have chosen better as well as where and when you truly made a difference.  The results may surprise you.
Do not judge yourself as you do so, just as no other will judge you when you ultimately review your life.  See all experiences as the growth opportunities they were and are.  Take that awareness and apply it liberally to each experience from now on and you truly will be in the advanced class, helping all other students around you.
