What can stillness provide you?

Even when the "nations are in uproar" (Psalm 46:6) and the "mountains shake" (46:3), you can still "be still" (46:10); and when you cease striving, you will be able to see your life and the world around you much more clearly. Your decisions become more rational. You begin to appreciate the small and simple things; and you might just discover who He is, The One who longs to be your "refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (46:1). Might you try and see what stillness can do for you. #TakeAMomentOrTwo

What team do you play for?

Everywhere, hate flourishes; and in the process, ravishes lives. But, it doesn't have to. For each one of us can stifle and rid hate of its nuisance; and when you "love your enemies, [and] do good to those who hate you" (Luke 6:27), you win. So, instead of tolerating the hate and toxicity that it exudes, might you defeat it with your love. #AGameChanger

What are you willing to do for something that you really want?

When you want something that really matters, it will not be a sprint, but a marathon, a grueling and challenging one. Helping you get there is found in Hebrews. You are encouraged to "run with perseverance the race [that is] marked out for [you]" (12:1); and as you run it, His power is what will sustain you (see 12:2-3). God's speed. #RemainFaithful & #StayTheCourse

How can you try to not make enemies?

Friends are hard to come by, enemies are not; and if you want to turn the table, "it depends on you" (Romans 12:18). "If it is possible, ... live at peace with everyone" (12:18). When you attempt to do so, you are living life through His wisdom (see James 3:17-18), and, hopefully, are able to engage others so that they, too, may also do the same (see Matthew 5:9). May doing so make you more friends than enemies. #BlessedAreThePeacemakers

How can music help?

Not utilized nearly enough, music is one of the best medicines in the world. For music can help heal and manage a great deal of conditions; and you don't even need a Doctor's order for it. Helping King Saul, when tormented, and in need of peace, "David would take up his lyre and play"; and, when he did, "relief would come to Saul" (1 Samuel 16:23). So, when nothing else works, might you consider turning on the radio, going to a concert or singing yourself a song, for music can have an extraordinary impact on healing and your overall well-being. #RxMusic #FillIt

What can encouragement do for someone, even yourself?

Probably not given nearly enough, words of encouragement can make all the difference in the world to someone who is struggling, hurting or grinding and making great strides. Seeing the struggles of the Thessalonians, Paul intervened and urged them to "encourage one another and build each other up" (1 Thessalonians 5:11), in order to boost their faith. Just as the Thessalonians did, you, too, are also encouraged to do the same. It is my hope that you receive the encouragement that you need and deserve; and in return, offer the same to others. #ALifeLine #AKickStart #AFrameOfMind

What words rest on your doorframe?

Whether written on your heart (see Deuteronomy 6:6), doorframe or entry way of your home (see 6:9) or teachings to children (see 6:7), may such words, aka commandments, remind you of Him. For these words are not put in such places by accident; as they are the basis for building a strong foundation and serve as a constant reminder of His faithfulness to you. May you find comfort, at all times, in His presence and words. #ComfortingReminders

When do you ask?

Most only reach out during times of struggle, suffering and vulnerability. Seeing all that the Father did for those oppressed (see Psalm 68:6), David, forty-two times, revealed God's convincing presence by offering refreshment and provision (see 68:9-10). Among many things, He is a "father to the fatherless" and a "defender of widows" (68:5). Might you consider not only seeking Him in difficult times, but in good times as well. #AllPowerful & #AlwaysPresent

What keeps you at a distance?

No life is perfect, as we all are imperfect and make mistakes. The only perfect life is The One who wants to keep you near, not far. Therefore, if you have gone away or astray, you can always come back home. There is no need to remain at a distance. For He is ready to welcome you with open arms and will forgive and restore you, just as he did for Peter, who, at one time, denied Him (see John 21:15-17 & Luke 22:34, 60-61); and "when you have turned back, [you, too, can help to] strengthen your brothers" (Luke 22:32). #NoJudgment & #AlwaysWelcome

How can you avoid being alone?

You are alone, only if you want to be, not because you have to be. Whatever the circumstance, there is someone who is always there. This someone hears you and will provide and walk with you. Such is the instance with Sarah and her son, whom were sent away, and while away ran out of food and water (see Genesis 21:8-21). When "God heard the boy crying" (21:17), along with Sarah, He was there to help them. So, whenever feeling alone, might you consider reaching out to The One who will always keep you in good company. #NeverAlone
