Daily Meditations of A Nurse Warrior
How solid is your foundation?
When young, it is so easy to be swayed and tempted by many things. Knowing this, adults, be it parents or guardians, have the opportunity to provide a strong and solid foundation for their children. Offering wisdom to those with young children is Proverbs. Proverbs says to "start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it" (22:6). Might you consider taking the time to instill such a foundation so that your children will not be led astray and "in the paths of the wicked" (22:5). #TheCornerstoneOfLife #OurChildren #OurFuture

ANW Product: Decorate with love. Metal pots, filled with candles and flowers, tucked in to a soft off-white rag roped basket with pink mental hearts adorning each side. All candles, metal cans, doilies, pipe cleaners, ribbon and tool recycled and repurposed.

What do you treasure?
Treasure is in the eye of the beholder. For some, it might be fortune and fame; and for others, it could be happiness and tranquility. No two treasure the same things; but everyone has the chance at an everlasting treasure, "the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 13:44). For when you chose Him, you will become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams and imagination. Nothing compares or holds a candle to what He can give you. Might He be the one that you treasure. #X OR #GodMarksTheSpot

If lost, how can you be found?
Many people become lost for days, weeks or years; and some will remain lost, but some will be found. Those that are found are because of Jesus. He came "to seek and to save the lost" (Luke 19:10). When such a person comes searching for you, might you "rejoice with [him]" (15:6), for you, a lost sheep, have been found (see 15:6). #LostAndFound

ANW Product: Share lots of love and fun with this basket filled with candles, "Love Notes" and trivia. Stickers, tool, candles, trivia, pens, paper clips and containers are all recycled and repurposed.

When will you ask for help?
You can not do it all on your own. There will come a time when you will need help. And, when that time comes, "He [will reach] down from on high and [take] hold of [you]; [and draw you] out of deep waters" (Psalm 18:16), just as he did for David, and bring you "out into the open" (18:19). For He knows your limitations and is ready to give you what you need, and without judgment. #NoShameInAsking

How well and willing are you to share the truth?
Sometimes, it is not easy to tell another the truth, especially when you know that it many hurt their feelings. But, if you care enough to do so, you are reminded to "be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2). Such an approach will help you to "[speak] the truth in love" (4:15). Real friends will hear and take it, and there will be others who won't. May you never regret saying what needs to be said, especially when you are trying to "[build another] up according to their needs" (4:29). #RealPeople & #TrueFriendships #WithstandPainfulTruths

How powerful can your love be?
Song of Songs describes love as "strong as death" and "burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame" (8:6); and when a love like this exists "many waters cannot quench" it (8:7). Such a love can not be contained and possessing a love so strong has the ability to move and make great changes in people. So, if you have it and can, might you share and spread it to others. #LoveLikeWildFires & #UntamedFlames

Why love your enemies?
Once again, we are reminded to "love [our] enemies" (Matthew 5:44); because, at one time, "we were God's enemies" (Romans 5:10), according to Paul. Even so, He still loved us; and has shown us how much by giving his son's life for us. As you consider such a sacrifice, for His enemies, might you too find a way to love those who are not so lovable-He did. #ButITellYou...#LoveYourEnemies

What affects your heart?
Many put a great deal of stock in to appearances, living a certain lifestyle and being accepted, which leads to problems of the heart or idolatry. Instead of putting more strain on your heart than need be, "the Sovereign LORD says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!" (Ezekiel 14:6). For when you do so, He promises to "give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you" (36:26). #AHappyAndHealthyHeart

How long are you willing to wait for a response?
Time becomes moot, may be even irrelevant, when waiting on a response from God. For instance, Martha remarked, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died" (John 11:21). It wasn't until four days after Lazarus's death that Jesus arrived, but still raised him from the dead. God operates on His time, not ours; but when He does respond, He is never late. #AlwaysOnTime

So, as you consider not just today, but every day, the injustices of this world, might you ask yourself how you, too, can serve justly until God is able to do so himself. #TurningWrongsInToRights
