Better Dead Reds [The Day After Ragnarok]
I just said I wasn’t doing any real work. Farting around like this is actually good for me.

My kid likes strange and often macabre pins, so the stuff will be right up his alley. Besides, Kate Ashwin does one of my favorite webcomics. One of these days I’ll get her to do cover art for me…
Eric Flint’s RIVERS OF WAR series to finally resume!
This is excellent news:
Indeed.

We're not just reprinting the first two books of Eric Flint's River's of War series, we're going to be continuing it. https://t.co/Qod7VPJKBX
For those unaware, Rivers of War is Flint’s alternate history of the American frontier. He picked an interesting divergence point (Sam Houston only getting slightly wounded at a particular battle), and then things went interestingly weird from there. So interestingly weird I had to delete the details, because spoilers.
It’s one of my favorite series, and I’ve been waiting years for Flint to get past two books in it. Something to look forward to in 2023!

The JURASSIC DOMINATION Asylum trailer.
I am showing the JURASSIC DOMINATION trailer for precisely one reason: the only difference between this and a ‘real’ Jurassic Park movie are the production values. The premises of both are equally absurd.
When is it coming out? Who cares? There’s no way any of you are watching it. I just thought it’d be nice to see a movie where the dinosaurs are explicitly shown to be invulnerable to military weaponry, instead of the way the Jurassic Park movies simply imply it. I find that to be more intellectually honest.
SWORDS OF THE SERPENTINE is at the distributors.
Just what it says on the tin.
This, my friends, is 7,685 lbs of @multiplexer’s & my new RPG Swords of the Serpentine arriving at @PelgranePress’s distributor. If you pre-ordered, the first books should arrive in a bit less than two weeks. #SerpentineRPG

Been looking forward for SWORDS OF THE SERPENTINE for a while. Helped playtest it, Kevin Kulp’s a good egg and I knew Em back in the In Nomine List days. I was extremely pleased to see her name on the cover; she does good work. Can’t wait to get my copy!
Short-short revisited: “Not My Problem.”
It holds up surprisingly well, considering that I wrote it a goodly while before I published it on Patreon. Also, I’m publishing novels now, after all… although, indeed, there is not all that much money in it.

Huh.
The shorter clip on Facebook absolutely fooled my eye. That’s Unreal Engine 5 footage, in case you were wondering – and the games that use it are gonna be lit.
Happy Birthday, Melvin Kaminsky.
96! You don’t expect ghoul-hunters to hit 96, unless that’s the speed they were at when they ran into the wall of undead. Happy birthday!

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (Covered by Green Day Concert Attendees.)
Kinda sad, in its way. I mean, the way they did it better than the band probably could have.
I may be a little burned out.
My wife thinks I should take a few days off. And I guess she’s not wrong, but… there’s nobody else to do the work. If I’m a writer, I gotta do the writing. And the ‘net is full of people who ‘took a few days off’ and hey, whoops, it’s ten years later. Webcomics in particular are infamous for having it happen.
That being said, I suppose it wouldn’t be awful if I just got this month’s Patreon stuff ready, and then start the new month fresh.
