Universal taking another stab at THE GREEN HORNET.
Believe me: I tried to get ‘sting’ to work somehow, but it always came out stupid: “Leigh Whannell is in talks to direct The Green Hornet and Kato for Universal Pictures. Whannell is the filmmaker who has brought us films such as The Invisible Man, Upgrade, and Insidious: Chapter 3. The studio loved what he did with The Invisible Man, so it makes sense that they’d want to get back into business with him for another project.”
Come, let us be honest: the original GREEN HORNET would be completely forgotten today if it were not for the minor detail that Kato was played by Bruce Lee. This is no reflection on the show itself, one way or the other. There were lots of perfectly decent television shows that lasted a season, then got canceled.
But the proposed new title says it all, honestly. There’s got to be tons and tons of martial arts in this thing. And, since they’re going to be playing it straight: what poor so-and-so is volunteering to spend the rest of his life being compared to Lee?
Still, it might not suck.

That’s it. The new THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER trailer has giant screaming goats in it. I am a simple man, with simple tastes. You put giant screaming goats in your movie, I am going to approvingly notice. Giant screaming goats are just inherently funny.

We’re well along, actually. But since I needed to eat something, I decided to take a break. Most of these will be done today, but there’s a couple of extra-large orders that are gonna need boxes, so I’ll probably get those out tomorrow. But everything should be mailed out this weekend, knock on wood and the crick don’t rise.

MARVEL’S MIDNIGHT SUNS doesn’t look… awful?
‘Course, that means nothing. But still. Cool trailer, at least.
Well, I got *most* of the postage worked out.
The parts that remain are the big orders, which require boxes. I need to go buy some, weigh those, and recalculate postage accordingly. There aren’t that many, thankfully. With any luck, I can get them out on Friday or Saturday. Huzzah!

Technology suuuuuuuucks…
…why do I do this to myself? And it’s all on my end, too. I am morbidly certain that the problem with getting the postage ready is absolutely because I forgot to click something that I should have obviously clicked, or because I misunderstood a clearly stated instruction. I mean, seriously, Backerkit’s very good at this stuff. I am totally ready to believe that I’m being a fumble-fingers.

Now, assuming I can get the postage thing to work properly, I’ll be generating labels and starting to get actual copies of TINSEL RAIN to backers this week. Complications: some folks are gonna need boxes, and there’s the aforementioned postage thing not working properly. Hopefully the latter will get resolved quickly, although actually starting tomorrow won’t be horrible.
