The “…GOOD?” SAMARITAN Amazon Prime video trailer.

I mean, SAMARITAN really does look like it doesn’t suck. Geeks Are Sexy sounds as surprised at that as I am; and I’m not why we are. There’s no immediate reason why it should be awful, after all.

The antechamber to the Morlock village was a good-sized room, with a ceiling high enough to allow a lazy circular fan. The walls here were covered with more looted signs, mostly from the prewar Underground. Jim thought the effect was rather attractive, actually. Very… nostalgic.

Slightly less attractive — if no less nostalgic — was the row of globular helmets nailed into one wall. No attempt had been made to obscure either the bullet holes, or the bloodstains; and beneath each helmet hung one of the alien dog-tags the Invaders had issued their sepoys. “I assume they put those up after the Restoration,” Jim observed.

“Or at least moved them from their inner sanctums,” Alex agreed. “Not that the sepoys would willingly come down this deep, even during the height of the occupation. They were all convinced the morlocks would hunt them for the table, given even half a chance.” She chuckled. “When we captured one ourselves, it was amazing how quickly they would start cooperating when we started talking about taking a subterranean trip to London.”

The “Showtime still exists?” LET THE RIGHT ONE IN trailer.

I dunno why I’m surprised, really. I guess it’s just that I haven’t heard from Showtime in a while. I remember it as being a mecca for softcore skin flicks, back in the gauzy, bright-lit days of my teenaged years, but I gather they don’t do that kind of programming anymore. …All those skin flicks are now lost in time, like tears in rain.

:pause:

Anyway, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN looks pretty good. I wonder if it’s gonna end up streaming somewhere else, eventually?

The MS. MARVEL Honest Trailer.

Honest Trailers didn’t rake MS. MARVEL too much over the coals, but did catch the fast character development and under-development of the villain. On the other hand, they did catch something about Damage Control that I hadn’t (the initials of the organization, and its agents). On the gripping hand, HT missed the chance to point out that the DDC once again demonstrates that Tony Stark is the cause of, and solution to, all of the MCU’s problems…

But they and I liked the show.

‘I Can Only Count To Four.’

Still not sorry, in the cold light of day.

Psychostick, if you were wondering.

RIP, David Warner.

He was one of the great character actors, and he never phoned it in. His performance in TIME BANDITS was superb. My condolences to, and prayers for, his family and loved ones.

The BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Teaser trailer.

I don’t think they could have not made this movie, actually.

Chadwick Boseman was, by all accounts, a decent, devout, and charismatic man whom nobody ever had an unkind word for. I walked out of CIVIL WAR actively eager to see BLACK PANTHER, and I wasn’t disappointed when I finally saw it. Hollywood clearly wants to make a lot of money from WAKANDA FOREVER, and this isn’t the movie they would have made if he was still alive, but… the actors in it likely miss Boseman, too. And I expect that it’ll come through into the movie itself.

So, hey, it might be a really good flick.

*The possibility that anyone but Chadwick Boseman could play that role right now is, of course, absurd.
