So, it looks like maybe I can get the next chapbook ready in time…
…to have it for FrightReads (tentative title: DUTIES). I’m talking to the artist now; she should have plenty of time to finish the art. So if I can revise the stories and get them beta-read in a timely fashion, Amazon can do the rest. And, if not: they’ll be ready for the next con. I definitely will be selling TINSEL RAIN at FrightReads, of course. Looking forward to it!

07/12/2022 Patreon Pledge Drive update.
Two things, today:
I got a new patron! So there’s a new installment of THE BOLD MARAUDER. Yes, I already told you this. And now I’m telling you again. Also: I put together the full COLUMBIA, MARYLAND: CITY OF SECRETS RPG supplement I did years ago, and put it up on Patreon. That one is, alas, still locked away. Gotta entice people, see?
New installment of THE BOLD MARAUDER!
The old, very brutal, and very funny CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG review.
Saw this on Facebook being touted as “the finest movie review ever written.” …I’m not saying that it’s true. But I’m not saying that it’s false, either. I at least laughed a lot.
The DAY SHIFT Netflix trailer.
Not gonna lie: Day Shift looks like fun.
“Working-class professional vampire hunters” always fits my aesthetic, and Jamie Foxx has the right look for it. I also figure that there’s going to be action scenes in it. Like, a lot of action scenes. Lastly: according to the trailer, Snoop Dogg is going to show up with a minigun. …I understand that there are people out there who would not want to watch that, and that’s their privilege, but I like my way of life better.

Tomorrow is Prime Day. :drily: Woo-hoo.
Far be it from me to stop people from clicking this Amazon link and giving me some of that sweet, sweet affiliate cash, but: I’ve never been really wowed with the stuff Amazon offers for Prime Day. It’s not awful, but it’s not really spectacular, either. It feels like something an algorithm came up with – and not even corporate is all that impressed with the results.
I guess I just don’t know why they bother.
07/11/22 Patreon Pledge Drive: Beginning of ‘Duty of Mirrors.’

This one, I’ll put out where people can get at. I have this novel more or less in my head. I could write it. Will I write it any time soon? Well, bluntly: publishing books costs money. I don’t quite have the revenue to do a book a year, unless I crowdfund. If I have more revenue, I can publish more books. That is, alas, how it goes.
07/11/22 Snippet, THE THING IN THE AIRLOCK.
I’m doing this thing now where I just sit down and write at the same time every day. Like many annoying things, it works. Whether it’ll still be working three weeks from now is the question for the age.

“She was wearing a suit,” one witness volunteered. “A surface suit, with the sunshade down. I saw her right by the elevator, so I figured there was some kind of thing going on topside. People are always using it to get to the airlocks.”
“How many of them have a sealed suit on when they do?” Tobias asked.
The witness looked at him, then shifted her eyes to focus on the slightly wheezing air duct on the wall. Tobias had also noted that, and had entered it at the bottom of the station’s maintenance list. The very, very long maintenance list. “More people than you’d think,” she said. “I figure in a month or two we’ll all be going around wearing unsealed suits. You know. Just in case.”
She overestimates the probability, Commander, Asenath whispered in his head. There is a 60% chance that such a scenario will not occur for at least three months. And the chance that this site will lose environmental security before the Lifeboat becomes ready is no more than 15%.
Somebody messed with LoFi Girl’s YouTube account.
Because… I have absolutely no idea why. There’s nihilism, there’s online nihilism, and then there’s this. Anyway, hopefully it’ll be back on soon (they fixed it, but it takes time to propagate), because it’s already messing up my writing schedule.
The lofi radios have been taken down because of false copyright strikes, hopefully @YouTubeCreators @YouTube will sort this quickly… pic.twitter.com/X01hL6jT2N
