Top 10 writing highlights of 2024: #1 Audiobooks!
2024 was a big year for me and my writing career, so I thought I’d share my top ten highlights over the next ten days. For day one…
Audiobooks! I’m a huge fan of them myself, and am so pleased to be able to offer another way for readers to enjoy my books.
The first two Milverton Mysteries audiobooks – Murder on Milverton Square and Poison at Penshaw Hall – were released in 2024. They were read by Philip Battley and published by Tantor Audio. And the third – Death in Douglas Glade – wil...

Death in Douglas Glade audiobook release date
Do you know the top two questions I’ve had from readers since the release of the Death in Douglas Glade ebook and paperback?
When will the audiobook be out? Will Philip Battley be narrating it again?A little earlier, I revealed the answers to readers on my mailing list (you can jump on my mailing list for future announcements too, it’s free!). Now I’m pleased to share with everyone: the Death in Douglas Glade audiobook will be released on 25 March 2025 and will indeed be read by Phil...

AudioFile review: Poison at Penshaw Hall audiobook
Witty mysteries, awkward flirting, and merciless bossing are three of my favourite things, so it’s great to see each highlighted in this fantastic AudioFile Magazine review.

I absolutely agree with the comment that the “quirky personalities and accents are enhanced through audio” wh...

When do you start writing the first draft?
Mark Stay (host of the Creative Differences podcast) and I discussed how we know when we’re finally ready to write ‘Once upon a time…’ or ‘It was a dark and stormy night…’ or, as was the case for my most recent novel, ‘Addison was determined not to slip, trip, or otherwise make a fool of himself in front of Sergeant Jake Murphy.’
