Paperback proofs have arrived

I settled in front of the fireplace to flick through my paperback proof copy of Fright on Stage Right. I checked the cover wasn’t crooked, the chapters weren’t out of order, the pages weren’t upside down, and generally just made sure the physical product was in the best shape for readers.

I am pleased to report the book is looking great and everything appears to be in order. And so I’ve hit the big red button to release the paperback into the wild!

Bonus: Mabel’s Magic Moment

Keen to sneak a peek backstage?

Cover image for Mabel's Magic Moment (A Milverton Mystery: Deleted Scene) by G. B. Ralph.

One particular scene was a lot of fun to write but didn’t quite fit into my latest mystery, Fright on Stage Right, for pacing reasons. ‘Mabel’s Magic Moment’ is the extended version of Chapter 11 which is over 50% longer than the version published in Fright on Stage Right. It features a bit of fun and flirtation, some extra Mabel, and a sneaky peek at a magician’s secrets!

Celebratory coffees and scones

It’s been a busy few days since the Fright on Stage Right ebook launch so I’m taking a moment with a friend to enjoy celebratory coffees and scones. I’m already hearing from readers who have started (or even finished!) the book. It’s so good finally having Addison’s latest misadventure in Milverton out there!

Kindle ereader displaying book cover of Fright on Stage Right by G. B. Ralph. In the background: a cafe table with coffees and scone. What are you up to this weekend?

Might I be so bold as to suggest treating yourself to your favoured hot drink, baked good, and a new book!

Fright on Stage Right (A Milverton Mystery) by G. B. Ralph. Cover image and description/blurb. It’s opening night at the theatre and Addison Harper has front-row seats with Sergeant Jake Murphy. This might just be his perfect date. The variety show promises spooky Halloween fun, ghoulish drag queens, frightening musical numbers, and the scariest thing of all: audience participation. Of course, the unlucky victim dragged from the safety of his seat is a mortified Addison. In a production full of twists and turns, he has no idea what’s coming next but nobody could have anticipated witnessing a sudden, absolutely unscripted, and very real death. A dreadful accident? Or was it foul play? As the curtain falls before a horror-struck audience, Addison Harper finds himself once again in the spotlight at centre stage. Buy Fright on Stage RightKi...

Mark Stay’s Creative Differences spooky special with Fright on Stage Right mention

Another brilliant author chat on Mark Stay’s Creative Differences livestream with today’s special guest Lucy Strange.

An extra spooky edition with appropriately ominous jingle and an unexpected mention of my new release, Fright on Stage Right, just 1 minute in!

The entire interview is lots of fun and well worth the watch:

Also, in response to Mark’s comment in the intro, the book is indeed now out everywhere:
