Dads, did you know? ...You're the anchor in a Storm...
Father's day is coming this Sunday. And dads it is to honor you. A dad-to-be, a dad to a fatherless child, or you that have been a father for many years. This day of recognition is for you!.
I've dedicated this blog to the men for every man's destiny and every woman's dream.
I wanted to start with; that you are very special. God made man in the beginning and whether you like it or not, you have a lot of responsibility as a man.
God first gave you the beautiful " Garden of Eden", Genesis 2;15, and let you maintain its beauty. He let you name all the animals that the Lord God created. Genesis 2;18-20. He walked and talked with you each day. No doubt about it, you were special to God our creator.
A book, written by PastorTony Evans calls you to be Kingdom Men. What is a Kingdom man?
The best way I can describe that is; Your whole being is made up of the things of the Lord and living your destiny in all of what God has for you, making you all about the Kingdom of God. When you are a Kingdom man, the devil hates to see you awake in the morning, and hates that other men want to be just like you!
Dads and dad-like caregivers for children are what God had in mind for you when He created " The Man." When you protect the woman in your life, ( yes, God even helped you by providing a woman to be your help meet) Genesis 2; 21-23. But, the man is to be the main person in direction and care for even the woman and the children. The children look to him as their confidence. Jesus wants men who will carry out His agenda, in governance, and guidelines in a world of crisis. Jesus wants men to rule well. You represent the King.
Women. we need to respect our men as role maker when he is following the Lord God that created us. I know many have been awol on this, but may we pray for their hearts to come to the Lord, or return to the Lord. A Godly woman can bring a man to repentance.
I can remember a time in our 57 years of marriage when I had a real struggle in letting my husband, be the head of our lives. I thought I knew better. I then remember, how on one of his birthdays, I had a cake made with the inscription on it; To :
" My Man of Velvet and Steel". I saw him as not only strong and courageous but also with a tender heart. Actually, my husband was the very first one to take me to church when we met in 1965. It was through that leading that I came to Jesus as my Lord and Savior. " God had His plan". Praise God!!
So, dad, I'm here to tell you, and hopefully, we as the woman and wife can truly see;
"Dad you are our Anchor in a Storm. " That was your destiny in the plan of God.

MY HOPE IS IN...THE HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN
You may be like me, that you dearly hate to drive on these big interstates, the new construction turn-about's, the fly over's, the new four-to-five lanes, and many exits and entrances onto the highway. Whatever happened to the two-lane highways, better yet the peaceful country roads?
I want to talk to you today, friends about the greatest highway you can ever be on.
God's word speaks of, the last days of this earthly life, the final days that you and I will travel our own journeys. Scripture speaks clearly of " the last days" continue...

We know that the scripture says, " in the last days, there will be
turbulent times". 2 Timothy 3:1. . I think you will agree, we ARE in those days.
So how do we prepare to face what is happening and what is even to come?
Only one way to do that friends, be on the RIGHT highway. I'm not speaking of
those four and five lanes, those turn about's, the fly over's. I'm talking about the only highway that should be our concern.
I know you are thinking; there she goes again telling us that; we need to make the main thing, "Jesus." to be the MAIN thing. But, friends, He does. I hurt just like you do. I feel discouraged at times, I wonder; Lord, when will You change this evil world? Why are You still allowing the hurts and pains to Your children ?
Then... I remember; a storm has a beginning and an end. It's been said, a tornado will last but seconds, people report, like a train noise, then it was gone. So hang on my child, joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30;5 . weeping may indure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. That's when I know that my focus has to be on that highway to heaven.
I really, will avoid the big interstate highways, the NEW changes that are in progress. I will keep my eyes on the one that died for me. There's a quote that I fully understand; " When God is your problem, only God is your answer." America/the world/ are you listening?
I'm on that " Highway to heaven" I plead with you my friends, " are you on the Right highway? The Highway to Heaven?"

COME HOME...TO HOPE! slt.
A mother set praying, as she always did each morning, bringing so many friends, and family before the Lord in her petitions.
This morning was no different, in that the hopelessness of our present nation was the main focus of her many prayers.
She said, " Lord, you know my heart, You know that I am thankful for all that You give me each and every day.", You know that I come humbly before your throne, even though you tell me I can come BOLDLY before your throne." Hebrews 4:16 "Let us come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find help n time of need."
This time, Lord, I ask that you protect YOUR children, The ones that have put their hope and trust in Jesus, that you sweep across our land and show us your power and glory. We are a very needy people in " such a time a this".
Why, can't we just understand that we need to "come home to hope?"
And you, Lord, are that hope. When you formed the heavens and the earth then made man in your own image, then when you provided a way for us to live with you forever by our trust in Jesus your son, that's when we had ALL the hope we need.
I see so many that are troubled, so hopeless, need a friend, ready to give up. But, you Lord are that hope that they need. Many seem to think they can party it away, they have let chains bind them. they buy into the "woke culture". They wait for a new this or a new one to bring them happiness. And some, Lord, don't know what they even want.
May I remind you, Lord, You said," when you saved our soul, cleansed and made us whole, that was your miracle of love and grace. " And you don't go back on your promises. So; I say: Titus 1:2 He is faithful, who cannot lie.
When I am without peace, struggling to find the answers, I know what I need to do.
I pray that you, my friends will do this also, " Come home to hope". The Hope that ONLY Jesus can provide. You will not find it in any other avenue. Only Jesus can satisfy the soul.

DO YOU KNOW...SOMEONE IS PRAYING FOR YOU?
I have often heard that a mother is always praying for her children, no matter how old they get. I know that to be the case for me as a mother of two grown boys. They are always on my mind and in my daily prayers.
But...I wondered if you ever thought that someone is praying for you? Even if you are without a mother at this time in life.
That would be the case for me. My mother passed of breast cancer nearly 56 years ago,
But I have a Facebook friend that reminds me often, that "he is praying for me."
That touches my heart, unlike anything I can explain in this blog. I ask myself? I know a mother prays, and we pray for people we know and care about, but to have a Christ-following friend, whom I have only made on Facebook, that is praying for me humbles me like no other hope. " WHAT A FRIEND!
I'm a published author, and also love to write these encouraging blogs here on my website.
I share them with many Facebook groups in hopes that those members will also be encouraged.
Friends, " Did you know someone IS praying for you?" So when it seems you're all alone and your heart will break in two, REMEMBER someone is praying for you.
When I think of the many struggles " In such a time as this". When I think that so many out there are really lonesome for a friend. They have no mother to pray for them, as I repeat, I have a friend that is praying for me.
So I ask? is your ship tossed and battered, are you weary and worn? Don't lose HOPE. someone is praying for you this very day. A,nd peace be still ,"is already on its way."
Mark 4:37. Other beautiful verses: John 14;27, Mathew 11:28-30.
Someone is praying for you. Jesus even prayed for His followers that were being left behind at His departure. He knew they would face persecution. John 17:17
I know this mighty Savior, Jesus Christ my Lord, He cares and He knows just how much you can bear, He'll speak your name to someone in prayer. THEN...Someone will be praying for you.
That's why I know and can share, " Someone is praying for you". A HUGE THANK YOU to that Facebook friend, that reminds me often, " I'm praying for you."

Will I, will you, be that one that is praying for a brother or sister, or even a Facebook friend? Friends the days are evil and dark, but, don't lose HOPE. SOMEONE IS PRAYING FOR YOU.

A HOPE YOU CAN'T...LIVE WITHOUT!
As I start this new day, a day that we left behind a powerful, worshipping Easter experience, my heart is turned to why some will let that be just a day out of the year that they did go to a worship service, and maybe not return again until perhaps next year.
That puzzles me as I too at one time, saw myself not knowing any difference, and finding myself living like there is no tomorrow until I met the Great I AM!
I want to tell you a story of two different friends my husband and I both know. They have two things in common; actually, now two more things in common; both are Christ believers, both active in their church, and as of recent days, both have lost their wives of many years in death. But what I tell you next is the difference between these two men.
The one lost his wife in death after a long, long battle with a rare and painful cancer. He was her caregiver for the last five years of that battle. They shared many great memories together, even knowing that soon they would be only that, memories.
The second friend I will tell you about lost his wife from a sudden, unexcusable, and pain-stricken death. She left the home one morning to take her usual morning walk as she had always done. They did a light kiss and the husband said," ok, be careful".
I am here to report to you my friends, she was struck by a drunken driver as he veered over to her pathway on the country road. A hit and run. When the husband was notified of this tragic event, he ran to the scene but, no goodbyes, she passed on the way to the hospital.
We ask ourselves, " WHY LORD?' but at this point, only God knows the WHY!.
I tell you these two different stories because I want you to know; when these things happen, struggles, heartbreaks, financial ruins, no rhyme or reason, that's when you need
" A HOPE you can't live without." It is understandable that the man, loving the Lord, as both did, but losing his wife in a " SUDDEN WAY" is having a real struggle in having his faith be
" A HOPE you can't live without." My hope to you as we look at these two death situations is; what we just went through yesterday, the RESSURECTION POWER that Jesus promises us as His blood-bought children. He will see her again!.
Please let this be your HOPE in your times of hurt. Scripture gives us the words to comfort our souls. Here are just a few. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 we can offer empathy to others because of the trouble we too, have faced. That's why I wrote my book, " My Christian Journey Through a Fallen World."
Romans 8: 35, God's love is stronger than the pains of the evil world. Psalms 40:1-3 God hears your cries of pain. He is your steady foundation when everything else falls apart.
God promises that " He has overcome the evil world". John 16:33. You don't see it now, but May this blog lead you to

BRINGING YOU COMFORT...IN WAITING FOR YOUR HOPE
Friends, I would like to sit down with a cup of coffee and talk about all that's giving you troubles, struggles, pain, and tears, I would most likely be right there with you.
It's just the times we are now living keep closing in on us. We awake each day with what seems like another heartbreak. We ask out Lord, "When, Lord do you intervene in this chaos we all are facing?"
We know He is ever-present, and He does not let anything we are so concerned about causing a deferring of Him from His sovereign plan.
How does that let me bring you comfort in all this? It is like an anticipation of something that you know is going to happen, and therefore you can hang on with comfort. The comfort I want to give you.
I know you say, " but I'm hurting so badly, I don't think I can wait for what you say is my hope." So, I'm writing this because I know, that I know, our faith will bring us to this HOPE.
I am reflected on the Bible scripture that Paul talks about in 2 Corinthians 11:25, Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned; thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and day adrift in the deep. The apostle Paul went through a lot.
And he says in 2 Corinthians 4:9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed...persecuted, BUT, he, we, are never abandoned by God.
This may not be the HOPE you are waiting for in your present chaos, but the Hope I am giving you today is that "BLESSED HOPE". We are waiting for the HOPE of Christ's return. When I show you an empty cross, ( he died on that cross for your sins; He is gone from the cross ): buried in a tomb, (an empty tomb) Because He has Risen as He said.
Friends, because He conquered the cross, the tomb, and the ones that are His through trust in His shed blood, we will RISE also. I give you 1Thessalonians 4:16. The dead in Christ shall RISE first; we that remain shall be caught up to meet them in the air, so shall we ever be with the Lord. NOW THAT'S A HOPE I AM WAITING FOR. Empty Cross, Empty Tomb, millions come and are free at last from all our fears.
EASTER SUNDAY is our HOPE. I bring comfort to you as you await that HOPE.

IN THE PRESENCE...OF JEHOVAH, GOD ALMIGHTY, PRINCE OF PEACE...
Troubles vanish, hearts are mended, in the presence of the King.
These are some beautiful lyrics to a great song, but I am confessing as I write this encouraging blog, It's the hardest blog I think I have ever written.
This has been a hard and struggling last couple of weeks for me, and maybe for you also.
So..I wanted to share my thoughts in hopes that they will help you as they have me.
So many people take for granted that when they are Christ-followers, they sail through life without problems. Have you never heard of, " He never promised us a rose garden", but, He did give us many promises in scripture that lets us know that He is with us through it all.
He promises in Deuteronomy 31:6 Don't be afraid, for I will go with you, I will never leave you or forsake you. It's when we start relying on and trusting ourselves in place of our Lord God Almighty that we become afraid.
My heart is heavy with a family problem; a sister with paranoia, a mental condition that recently started as an infection, but as the month went on, all tests and the doctors began to understand that it is more of a condition, that she turned into a full-blown sting that only pain pills could cure.
I only agree with this because she's been there before. She was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, many years ago. If she would take her meds, it's kept under control. Why not take them as prescribed? Only she knows.
So how do I handle doing all I can for her; cleaning her apartment, doing her laundry, and making it all clean and ready when she comes home from 8 days in the hospital?
I pray; I ask God for direction, I shed bottles of tears, I even ask God, " Why me" to have to care for several of my siblings over the years. Then the Holy Spirit takes me to, " In the presence of Jehovah, God Almighty, Prince of Peace. Troubles vanish, hearts are mended, in the presence of my King. Friends this is what I want you to do. Go into the presence of our King. Life can be dark, but, when we have Jesus, we have all we need. Romans 5;2-5 gives us this assurance that God will take our hurts, and give us hope because of His grace and love, which he pours into our hearts in troubled times. Psalms 50;15 confirms that if we call unto Him in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
So, I go into the presence of Jehovah. I find my peace. May you join me there.

GIVING YOU LIGHT...IN THE DARKNESS
I know it's dark out there. You may say, "I can't see any hope, I can't find any peace, I feel like God has abandoned us."
No, He has not, because He promises us as His children through faith and trust in Jesus as our Savior, " He will never leave us or forsake us" Deuteronomy 31;6-8 is just one of many promises that " I will never leave you nor forsake you.
It is found in multiple books of the Bible, both Old, and the New testament.
With this promise, we can be assured that He is always with us.
He tells us to " be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or terrified because of the chaos going on. For the Lord your God goes with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you" Deuteronomy 31: 6.
Are we afraid because we have let our faith weaken under pressure? Are we afraid because we know that it appears that the enemy is winning?
I know what that is like, I've been there many times with the " But God", why are you letting me go through this struggle? His answer is always, " my child, my grace will be sufficient".
And, I can tell you unequivocally that it always has been.
I will use the current day example of the war going on in Ukraine and the tyrant, Russia.
We don't understand why God is allowing the people of Ukraine to suffer so desperately, but God does. I see it as a prophecy that the Bible foretells of, and then, I see God in His mercy showing his great power in the outcome.
I also see, how God in his testing is showing the world, through many praying that He will
" show-up with His miracle. " I can just see God saying, to those faithful fighters in Ukraine, I am fighting your battle, keep your faith in me."
I heard a TV program where Franklin Graham with Samartarin's Purse, was being interviewed and the question was asked," aren't you afraid to take all your volunteers and supporters into Ukraine?" You all may be killed. Franklin's reply was, " we are going not in the name of America, in the name of Samartrain's Purse, BUT... in the name of Jesus. He is our protector and goes with us. If we perish, we perish. We know that absent in the body...present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 I love that!!.
Friends, we either trust our Lord or we don't. May I give you this Lightness in your Darkness?
Whatever the outcome, God knows and has His divine plan. I want to say as Franklin Graham told the interviewer, " If we perish, we perish. " I too know, "absent in the body...present with the Lord." This is my Lightness in your Darkness. Reaching out to you.
