Lord, let me be the Good News...

IN A WORLD OF BAD NEWS!..

Have you ever seen a time like this? Do you wake up and find that there is another terrible tragedy of killings, of hate and anger, of another " Somebody done somebody wrong song"? Yep! There's no doubt about it, we are living in perilous times.

So what can I do to give you HOPE? Because, friends, there is hope like no other hope.

I'm like you. I have struggles, disappointments, tears of anxiousness, hurt, and pain.

Can any of this be changed.? Can any of these disappointments in our government that is not being, " for we the people" have a heart and come back to the grounds that our country was founded upon?

Even if I have to answer NO to you, it's not because I don't have my Good News for you.

See I have a hope, called that " Blessed Hope". The hope that only Jesus can guarantee. We as people love to live in a fairy tale world, a world that always in most storybooks has that " happy ending". When everything that is bad happens, at the end of the story, it all turns out great! That's a fairytale storybook.

Here is my HOPE for you: Someday our Lord Jesus Christ will return for His faithful ones, One day those that have their trust and faith in the one that died on Calvary, that became your sin redeemer, your Savior, and friend. John 3:16. tells you how to be a part of those ones He comes for.

There everyone will be free from sorrow sin, and death. It will be marvelously better than the " happily ever after," of any storybook!

In the scriptures, Revelations chapter 21 gives me and you that " blessed hope".

Who would not want to be a part of this beautiful scene?

And I saw a new heaven and earth: for the first heaven and earth were passed away: and there was no more sea. I saw the Holy City. The new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. It goes on to say in verse 4:

and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. It tells us of the foundations of the walls are garnished with precious stones, golden streets, and a gate made of pearls, then, verse 17 says all evil will not be there, and

Only those written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be there.

Now: don't you see why I have " Good news" in a world of " Bad news?

Now, don't you see why I want YOU to be there? You can be you know. Let Jesus come into your heart. Trust the one that died on Calvary to be your redeemer, Savior.

Share that with your friends. Let you be the Good news, in a world of Bad news.

It's gonna happen, friends. Every prophecy that God said in the Holy Bible has come to pass. This will also. "He said it, I believe it, It is done!"

For the King and His Kingdom.

Lord, If Thou Will...

How many of us have put this IF in our prayers when we pray?

I know I have been like this so many times in my prayers. I know that our Mighty God can do the impossible, so why would I think that He would even let us put an IF in our prayer request? Knowing that He wants to help us.

When we read the Bible scriptures in (Mark chapter 1: 40.) It speaks to this IF!

It tells about the man that came to Jesus with leprosy—begging for help. " Jesus, please help me with my leprosy, and " IF thou will thou can make me clean" There's that IF word again.

Leprosy is a comparison to our sin even today. And in our sins, we ask Jesus to wash us make us clean, and help us to be better followers of the Great I AM!

What a beautiful comparison we can learn from this man with leprosy and our sin. Both tell us how to come to Jesus. Leprosy, which causes separation from fellowship with the pure.

It

; In deep humility and unworthiness, we must come to Jesus in faith, and by His power be cleansed from our besetting sins. We need the touch of the master's hand. All of our thinking "We can fake it till we make it," just will not work. We need Jesus, the one that died for all our sins. He is our redeemer, friend, and Savior.

I love how The answer to the Leper, Jesus said, " Thou Will." So what can we expect from Jesus?

" Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them (" Hebrews 7:25. ")

Since Christ constantly intercedes for us, we can depend on Him for continual victory over sin.

Lord, may I make this my daily practice. Let me not doubt that I don't need to add " IF thou will" because I know you are interceding and doing what is always best for my situation and my ever-besetting sins. What a Savior; is Jesus Christ my Lord? AMEN, and AMEN!

How GREAT is our God!

With so much chaos going on in this nation, I know you may ask, "How can you even think about how great is our God".?

But I have found that all this chaos going on leads me to God's Holy Word like never before.

I hope it does you also. I read in Psalms 104: 1-35 just how great our God is!

I read how He is clothed with honor and majesty, He covers Himself with light as a garment; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain. He laid the earth's foundation, that it should not be moved forever. He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the the hills, they give drink to every beast of the field. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle.

He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. O Lord how manifold are thy works? In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches

He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he touches the hills and they smoke.

I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul.

No wonder the composer Carl Boberg wrote: How Great thou art. And Chris Tomlin wrote How Great is our God.

You would have to know this GREAT God as your own personal Savior to be able to write these inspiring words. So no matter how you may feel at this season of life, you will have to totally agree that we serve a Mighty God.

The name above all names! Darkness tries to hide, Time is in His hands, He's the beginning and the end, the Godhead three in one, Father, Spirit Son, Worthy of all praise.

I'm so happy the ten commandments didn't have degrees of sin in them. Not one sin is worse than another. ALL . are sins. You have done nothing that can't be forgiven when you believe in Jesus Christ as your redeemer, and ask Him for forgiveness. How Great is that? And WHOSOEVER may come. John 3:16 How Great is our God!

The evil of this world will be consumed by His breath, Psalms 103:9 says, "Neither will he keep his anger forever." Do it NOW! Time is counting.

Please let the God of the universe be the God in your heart. Then you will see:

"How Great is our God! "

Let me tell you about MY JESUS!

In spite of all my life struggles, my being raised in a dysfunctional family of 10 children, and having to live my life without friends, because dad wouldn't allow us to have any.

He said," because we have brothers and sisters to play with." We find out later, it was because he held a secret. " ( revealed in my published book.)

So this is why I can write this encouraging blog and say:

I'm here to tell you about my Jesus. Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son weaved His way into my life many years later from my childhood.

I was never allowed to attend any church while I was being raised by my dictator dad and mom that was afraid to allow what dad said no to.

But...God. More of this in much detail is written in my memoir book,

" My Christian Journey Through a Fallen world."

See when God has His plan nothing can STOP it! As I grew and finally was able to get outside of my family's work, ( we had a carnival) and all kids worked for dad, at NO pay!

I had gone to cosmetology school. Got my license and went to work at a beauty shop.

Crazy, but this was God's plan. I met my now husband of 58 years, he was a believer in Jesus. Hmmm... Yes, "I got saved." That's why I can tell you about MY JESUS!

I love to compare my life to a lighthouse. I was a ship that was lost, then when I saw the light I totally found my way. First, it was head knowledge. I knew all about Christ Jesus and how he came to be our redeemer, Savior. But it was several years later that I read in

1 John 5: 11-12. "He that has the son has life, he that does not have the Son, does not hath life. " I had a head knowledge but hadn't applied it to my heart, personally.

That's why Jesus was my LIGHT. Just like the lighthouse is the safety of the lost ships, Jesus was my lighthouse. As the song says: Without Him, where would this ship be?

I started this encouraging blog with, " let me tell you about my Jesus". Can you tell me about YOUR Jesus? I write these, " free to read" encouraging blogs to help you find the one that died for you. The Jesus of the Bible that was sent to be our sin forgiver

Will you let Him be your Lighthouse? Remember: without Him where will you be.?

I did a podcast for https://coffeewithjesus.info/ "Eternity, Where will you be?" please look it up.

Broken...But Not Forgotten

I wish I could start this encouraging blog by telling you that you won't have struggles, and you won't encounter heartaches or pain in your body. But then I wouldn't be telling you the truth.

So as I write this encouraging blog to help all my followers on this website, where you can read, "free", I do it so you can find that hope you need in this Fallen World.

If you, like me have lived long enough then I don't have to tell you that the scripture says,

" In this world, you will have tribulations". John 16:33. Jesus is telling us in this world you will have problems, He is speaking to us that we may have peace in Him, because He also says, " be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

So when we are broken, and who amount us has not been broken? Even as a child born into this world, we enter broken because we have inherited sin from the beginning of Adam and Eve. We all inherited this sin from their disobedience in the garden. Shame on them!

It got passed down through all our bloodlines. " All have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23.

But I'm here to tell you, YOU are not forgotten! God knew from the foundation of the world that WE would need a sin redeemer. That's why He sent Jesus/God in the flesh to pay for those sins as he died for us on Calvary. Paid out debt IN FULL!

Your prayers, (when you have taken Jesus as your own personal Savior,) He hears those prayers. The Lord hears the cries of His children, in bondage and slavery, in your additions, your cries for help. God saw the great courage of Daniel, who faithfully prayed so boldly.

The Lord heard Hannah in sorrow when praying, He hearkened and answered her plea.

When Peter was bound there in prison. He answered his prayer and set him free!

So, what would make you think that your God, the God of the Bible would not hear you when you cry for His help? In this assurance, we rest.

Although we don't know how he will answer, we know it will be for our good and will be His perfect plan for us. Trust Him! God loves His children.

I speak from experience; I've been there more than once, and when I was hopeless, I cried to the Lord, ( He is my Savior by faith and belief in the risen Son) I can say that He delivered me! Time and time again.

If God can shut the mouth of the lions for Daniel, make the sun stand still for Joshua, open the prison doors for Peter, put a baby in the arms of Sarah, and raise Lazarus from the dead, THEN He can certainly take care of you! NOTHING you are facing today is too hard for him to handle. Yes, we are broken... but NOT Forgotten. Jesus is your answer.

Escaping Hopelessness.

This is a sad but true story that I am sharing today on my " encouraging Blogs".

I know you may say, " how is this encouraging?" But let me relate how no matter what happens in our lives as a Child of the King, He has our best interest always in mind.

It's been right close to one year ago this month that this terrible tragedy took place with a dear friend that my husband and I had known this couple for many years.

We had gone to church with them for years and loved their devotion to each other.

But in this fallen world, things just happen. Now right up front, I want to say, " this did not catch our mighty God unaware." Why He allowed it is what I am going to try and convey to you in this blog.

I will not use any names to protect their privacy. But, this is how it unfolds.

My friend one morning after reading her Bible devotions, and praying as she always did at the start of her day, told her husband, " honey I'm going on my daily walk, it's nice today. I'll see you in a little bit." He then kissed her on the forehead, and said, " ok be careful."

They live in a rural area and her daily walks were along country roads. How peaceful can that be? Just you and God walking and talking. This day was not her usual day.

As she walked her country roads, all of a sudden a car veered over to her side and struck her, knocking her into the side ditch. That vehicle then sped off. YES! a hit and run.

There was another car a little behind that (hit and run) that saw the lady on the side of the road. He pulled up and saw she had a cell phone in her side pocket. When he opened it he saw her husband's picture and was able to contact him on her phone.

Her husband immediately drove to the area and the ambulance was called, tears were shed as she passed away en route to the hospital. Now, God where were you?

We ask ourselves, why! Just as I know you reading this are saying the same on events that have happened in your lives also.

To make things even more unbearable, they found the car that ( hit and ran) but have not to this day been able to say for certain that the man owner of this car was actually driving that morning. Was he drunk, was it him, or did someone else take his car and do this terrible act? The investigation was conducted by the State troopers because it was in the county.

Now back to " where was God?" The husband, even though a firm Christ follower is in total disarray. He has turned on the God of his salvation. Many are praying for him, but he wants to hear none of it. I'm so sad to say, " I do not have the perfect answer." I only know the God that I know and love, the God that sent His son to die on the cross for my sins, and yours is not a God that would allow something like this without it being for our good.

I feel like the wife of Job that came to Job in scripture and told him to curse God and die. Job 2:9. How can I say that knowing the God that I love? We know she is in glory and no way would she want to come back after seeing her heavenly home. So let's look at " WHY" We know that God is sovereign and does not cause bad things, He allows for His reason. It seems we go through bad things because we then are able to comfort others that have bad things happen. Those with battle scars can better help those going through battles.

This was my case when I went through my sister's SUICIDE. WHY! I ask God but He has in these many years since let me comfort those that have gone through what I went through. My ebook SUICIDE on Amazon has touched and helped many, souls find Jesus.

So... I say we do not have the mind of Christ, we never think as He does, but, if we truly know the God of the Bible, we know He " does all things well". "His heart is for you, and His ways are perfect" Psalms 18:30. he shields all those that trust in Him. Will justice be done to the unconvicted ( hit and run driver) Yes, I say,

Romans 12:19-21" Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. "Weeping

may endure for the night, but Joy will come in the morning."Psalms 30:5"

For the King and His Kingdom.

My Savior Loves me so... He will Hold Me fast.

Where do I start with how much chaos surrounds each and every one of us today?

I know you can relate to me in almost everything I am speaking of.

I find myself thinking about how bad will it get before we see any relief, why have I lost a sense of peace, and where do I go for hope in these troubling times.?

I know I am so blessed compared to when I read the Facebook prayers asked for by so many. I always try to stop and breathe a prayer of concern for those that, Lord I know are suffering more than I.

I tell myself; "You're always a little despondent when it's winter." I see so much more hope when the sun is shining and the temperatures are warm. That's just my nature to love the warmth of sunshine on my face.

Then I think; Sarah you are a child of your blessed Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. He loves you and promises to never leave you. Deuteronomy 31: 8. How can I escape such love? How can I NOT know that He is always in control? he says, " I the Lord will go before you and be with you; do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

I have vowed to be HOPE for you my friends in a Fallen World. I have testified over and over that, I know from my own life experiences that you Lord, have always brought me through when I look to you in my times of trouble.

So... when I fear my faith will fail, Christ You will hold me fast. When the tempter would prevail, Christ will hold me fast.

For my Savior loves me so...He will hold me fast.

What a precious love we have in Jesus Christ our Lord. How would anyone NOT want this precious Savior? Because this Savior loves us so...He will hold you fast. Yes, he will hold you fast, He will hold you fast. Because my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. I hope you have this Savior, Jesus Christ as Lord. Then when the temper, ( Satan) would prevail, Christ will hold you fast. When you fear your faith will fail, Christ will hold you fast. Yes you, Lord will hold me fast! Thank you, Lord, for taking care of your children.

For the King and His Kingdom.

December 31, 2022

ENTERING THE NEW YEAR..WITH HOPE!

Well, friends, we have almost made it. I'm posting this on December 31st, 2022.

I wanted you to see that because of Christmas, we just came through, we do have that blessed hope! I put a post on Facebook yesterday, and ask what would be your number one wish for 2023? And not for a million dollars, that's what most seem to say, I was surprised! Friends, people are hurting, I have several to pray for from this posting. I loved that many were concerned about their loved ones and eternity.

You may be like me thinking gosh, I'm happy to see 2022 go, and now we are heading into a New Year. You may be like me, thinking how do I see hope in 2023 when I have lost so much hope I'm leaving behind in 2022? Won't it just be more heartaches?

I know we sometimes think; why do the wicked prosper and seem to get away with their evil actions? But, Psalms 37:2 tells us . " they will soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. And verse 13 says, " the Lord shall laugh at him; for he seeth that his day is coming". Psalms 37 is all about how the righteous will endure and the wicked will perish in the end.

So, I'm here to encourage you, that because of Christmas that we just came through, that is

OUR HOPE!

Christmas is, Jesus, God's son in the flesh sent in human form ( God/Human) so He could relate to our humanness. He fills your pain, He sees your tears. Because He was in human form. He was just like us, without sin!

Did you know that we have hope like no other when we have Jesus as our personal Savior?

We are told many places in the Bible scripture of this hope.

Isaiah 41:10 says, " fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God."

And verse 13 says, "for I the Lord your God, ( is He Your Lord Jesus?) will hold you by my right hand, saying to you, "Fear not I will help you." And, Psalms 61:2 I love, "When my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

That is when we express our deepest desperate prayer; when we feel hopeless and we sense a great need for God. Leading us to that rock is leading us to the towering rock of safety. I've been there many times in 2022, most likely, like you my friends.

I've had times when I ask my Lord, " where are you? Why do You not put an end to the evilness, the chaos, the wicked ways of man against each other?

He reminds me that I am in Him. And, when I'm trusting only in Him, when I cling to His promises, He will deliver me.

I took time a couple of days ago to read all my written prayer requests over the year. I keep them in my oldest worn-out Bible. I really love reading from this old Bible I have. Just something about the worn tattered pages that lets me know I've been with my Savior. Do you know, I cried because every one of them was addressed in one way or another with answers from my precious Lord Jesus?

That's why I am assured that when you have Jesus as your Lord and Savior, nothing can separate you from Him, and if you will let Him, nothing can make you feel hopeless.

So... enter 2023 with this HOPE, that He has not forgotten you, He has not left you, and He will never leave you. Deuteronomy 31:8. Fill your 2023 with Bible reading, ( that's when God talks to you), and listen to true men of God that preach the true word of God. You can't keep this hope by yourself/ We need Him, oh, we need Him. Every hour, we need Him. I need thee every hour, the song ( written by Annie Sherwood Hawks) He loves you, He always has, and He always will.

Oh, bless me now my Savior, I come to thee. See you on the other side of 2023, if the Lord wills.

There are no Orphans... Because Of Christmas!

It’s beginning to snow heavier now. Just a cold typical winter Christmas Eve in the Ozarks as our little family of three gather around to put up the tree that dad has cut down in the surrounding woods.

( Well really, he didn’t cut it down, he did his magic,)

Which is; to find a tall evergreen tree in the deep of the woods, take his trusty shotgun and aim up toward the top of the tree then Pow!! The top of the tree falls to the ground. That’s magic I’d say. You get a perfect medium size tree and the prettiest part of the tree.

He throws it up in the rusty old pickup and here he comes. dragging the magic tree into the back door of the small indiscrete house set high up over the Finley River.

Such a beautiful scene. Snow falls on the hillside, all the trees, and a running river sets below the small home.

We do not have much for this Christmas season, dad just changed jobs and we have to go two weeks before he will get his first paycheck.

Isn’t that the way it seems to always go? You are between a rock and a hard place, and at Christmas of all times!

Usually, we buy a Christmas tree but not this year, times are rough. No money for the extras but, hey, we do have our roof over our heads and mom has saved back money to at least buy ingredients to do some baking.

As a child 12 years old, I’ve been taught to be grateful for what I have. “We have a Christmas tree”, I love decorating the tree.

Dad then begins to make a stand by nailing a cross of two pieces of 2x4s and putting the trunk into the middle. Up it stands and away I go decorating the magic tree.

I love the lights and always a STAR on top, has to be a star. Bible scripture says that’s how they found Jesus lying in a manager. The magi followed the star as it was told to them by the angles.

The big lodge size fireplace is crackling, momma is baking cookies, and all will be ok, even this year.

Suddenly a knock on the door. It's 5:00 p.m. Dad says,” Who can that be out in a blizzard and way back in this desolate area we live in.?”

Dad opens the door and there stands a small-framed lady with a child in her arms. They were wrapped in coats but looked so desperate.

Dad says, “Come in here but where did you come from? “

The shaking quivering lady began to cry and said that their car had broken down on the highway and they were walking to find any lights, looking for a home with shelter.

Yep! She saw my decorated shining lights on the tree and came toward them. Might say she followed the STAR, Just saying………

This was not by accident that she came to our home.

She told us her sad life story, how her husband had abandoned them and she was trying to travel to find a new start. We knew she was at the right place.

My family all knows why we have Christmas. Jesus was born a virgin and came as God’s son to die for our sins. We are believers.

Dad read the Christmas story as he always did each Christmas Eve. But this time he also read to this lady and her small child.

Our family was able to tell her that because of Jesus this is why we celebrate Christmas. She saw that because of this great miracle, God says to all,” there are no strangers, there are no orphans, and there are no outcast, of God."

With Jesus as your Savior you are never alone, you are never a stranger, you are not an orphan, and you are not an outcast.

Best Christmas Eve I ever had. A lady with her child became a born-again believer in Jesus as her Savior.

Now that’s what Christmas is all about. And that’s why He makes no more orphans, no more strangers. No more outcasts.

If such a thing as Grace exists, then Grace was made for lives like this.

Christmas makes no more strangers, you are my brother, and you are my sister, no more orphans, no more outcasts, but hallelujah!! There are no orphans of God.

Now onto Easter!! What a celebration we as believers have on that occasion.

Jesus AROSE!! He has risen, He has RISEN indeed.

He hideth my soul... in the cleft of the Rock.

I was discouraged, I was in chaos, and I wondered what sort of mess would befall me next.

I know we all have times like this, as I titled my published book," My Christian Journey Through a Fallen World". But sometimes you just have to be honest and say, " Lord, where are you?

When I see the outcome of the mid-term elections and the voters are so divided. I can understand people having their opinions on the different candidates, but, when I see that people are voting for ungodly policies, like abortion, and defunding the police, then I have to ask myself, does anyone care about, " thus saith the Lord?"

Sadly, there are Christ -followers, ( they say) that are against what God has revealed in His Holy Word.

If we are truly putting our trust in Jesus as our Savior, that He is our sin forgiver, then how can we NOT put Him and all His teachings in the Holy Scriptures as foremost in our stand for righteousness?

I'm not talking about when I mentioned abortion, that if you have sadly done this in your life, just know that as a Christ believer, YOU have been forgiven when you ask for that sin. Remember, sin is sin, there are no degrees to our sins.

Only people put degrees on different sins. God does not! He died for ALL sins, not one sin over another. And as a saved child of God, He takes our sins and buries them in the depth of the sea, never to be remembered again. How, how marvelous. My sins are forgiven.

Now, I say, " Why am I discouraged? Why do I ask, " God where are YOu?". Because of the people. I go to Psalms 46; 10-11 be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Lord, I know that You are on your throne. I ask, will You hide my soul in the cleft of the rock? I know I will be safe there with YOU.

You told us that in this world we will have tribulations, so I should not be surprised.

I just ask again, Lord, " will you hide my soul in the cleft of the Rock that shadows a dry thirsty land? You hideth my life in the depths of Your love and covers me there with Your hand. I rest in this my Lord. I will stand still and see the glory of the Lord.

Oh, what a Savior, is Jesus, my Lord. You hideth my soul in your protection and love!
