Who stole my peace?
Was it you, who tried to demean me?
or you, who broke my spirits?
Was it you, you hated me for being me
or you, who broke my heart?
I can’t sleep now
I wander alone
like a lost soul
seeking refuge in dreams
finding comfort in lies
who stole my peace?
it belonged to me
it was mine forever
and not for you to take
I travel solo
shallow and places hollow
nothing stays with me
while I fix my each missing piece
I wonder, who stole my peace?

Wildflower
Like a wildflower, I grow from my roots
untouched, uncared I am own my own
I bloom without being planted
no one sowed the seeds of my existence
like a wildflower, I store an untamed beauty inside me
I see myself grow
I am available in abundance
hence valued less
Inured to settle for less
and how I am a glorious mess
euphoric with my own fragrance
I choose to dance to the mellifluous sound of the rain
hugging the droplets
as it falls on my unclenched petals
I am a wildflower I grow on a barren land
I dance like an agile peacock
I sing with the winds
and flow around valleys steep and thinned
I am wildflower..untamed and untouched.
love, Priyanka

If Sadness Had Gravity
I was high on spirits
had it all sorted out
I hardly had any confusion
or any doubt
But one fine day, sadness crept in
I tried pushing it away
like million times
it sat beside me
I felt lost
lost all the hopes
I knew life has to go on
Hello, said sadness
I felt numb and was about to succumb
I felt dark
but I had to do it right
deeply moved inside, I sighed
The hope was gone
but I must go on
I said to myself
and I took sadness in my stride
I accepted it with arms open wide
now we stay together
if sadness had gravity
It would have pulled me apart
I would have been broken and parched
but it stayed
it helped me shed the weight
I was carrying on my mind
for others who have turned blind
I found my gravity in the brevity
If sadness had gravity
it would have stayed forever…
Love, Priyanka

15 Hacks For Staying Sane Amid Isolation
Few hacks for staying sane amid Isolation, as this coronavirus pandemic has inflicted deep fear and anxiousness within all of us.
For the first time in human history, we are going through a tough time. No matter how powerful a nation is or how small a county is, we are almost on the same page and dealing with the same problem.
Even I have been struggling a lot to keep up with my sanity, but I remind myself of all the coping mechanisms. I take one day at a time and try to be in the moment. It helps. Besides, I am here to share fifteen tips and hacks for staying sane amid isolation we are going through due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

15 Hacks For Staying Sane Amid Isolation
1.) Stop waking up anxious every day. It is ok to not have everything sorted and at the place. It is ok if you are feeling house arrest, replace the thought and see it as a step for your own safety and protection of your family. There is nothing we can do except for staying at home.
2.) Stress on the quality of sleep, amount of water you consume and focus on your breathing. Ask our family members to do the same, it will help to maintain composure.
3.) Do not worry about gaining weight, saving yourself is more important at the moment. You can always do exercises and yoga asanas at home to maintain the track. You can surely start your regular workout once things are back to normal.
4.) Keep a personal check on your friends and family members.
5.) Try to eat in small portions and eat a balanced diet.
6.) Do things that you loved to do but never had time to pause and reflect.
7.) Record your skills/talents. Share them with your friends or simply enjoy doing it and keep to yourself.
8.) Managing finances is another stressor. Remember this was unplanned and uncalled. Going with the flow is all we can do to minimize the mental damage. For the first time you don’t to prove, give an excuse or convince anyone. The whole world is on the same page.
9.) Take this time to declutter unwanted and unused things from your house. If you are staying in a joint family encourage them to get rid of their unwanted belongings too. It could be a whole day activity.
10.) Try to be of help for the security guard, cleaner, helper or anyone who still shows up daily at work near you. Help them with food and essentialities.
11.) Keep your mobile away and spend some quality time with your spouse, other family members, and kids. Like we used to in the pre-internet era.
12.) Situations are such that we are bound to get frustrated and bored but hold yourself, take two deep breaths, drink water and let the feeling go.
13.) Practise self-care. I know many women would say that due to the increased workload they cannot take out time for themselves. But we all are facing the same issue and for the first time, we are doing things without the rush. There are a little flexibility and understanding in many families and taking out a little time for self should not be a big deal.
14.) These are the tough times for individuals who are staying with toxic in-laws or spouses. They are facing a lot of abuse and violence. For them, I pray that they gain strength to stand up and call the respective helpline for the support.
15.) Lastly, spend quality time with your children. Do not force them to do things just because everyone is posting about the skills and activities of their kids on social media, do not force them to be what they don’t want to be. Just sit with them, talk, have a good laugh, watch movies, their favorite cartoon and try to do what they want to do, this will nurture your bond as well.
Remember when I say this, all this will be over one day and we will be talking about it over a cup of tea/coffee with our friends and family members and might even regret not doing a few things when we had the liberty of time in our hands, because of the mainframe we were in.
“Focus on the solution rather than the problem and the only solution we have is to stay inside our homes”.
