Ms.Sen Through My Eyes!
I have been in awe with this beauty ever since she was crowned as Ms.Universe in 1994. I was in my fourth standard and as a regular General Knowledge Class, our teacher announced to us of this current news and since then I am just glued to this epitome of beauty, intelligence, grace, super persona and whatnot, she is none other than Ms. Sushmita Sen.
Winner of Femina Miss India contest in 1994 and crowned as Miss Universe 1994 at the age of 18. She is the first Indian woman to win the competition. She was honoured at the Mother Teresa Awards 2013 for her social works. At the Indian Leadership Conclave 2016, she was awarded with the “Eternal Beauty & Actress of the Decade'” award for her contribution in the field of Arts.
Sushmita Sen for me is the live example of how to live life on your own terms and prove it right. From getting crowned in her teenage and dominate the world with her beauty to adopting two girls, being single mom at the age of 25 and slaying it like anything , she has proved one thing that you got to stay strong and follow what you feel is right and for that you do not need anybody’s validation in this whole planet.
I am so glued to her Instagram page, damn she is super solid. You will fall in love with her again and again.
She has not only won millions of hearts with her unconventional beauty and her graceful persona but her speeches and good deeds too. The way she speaks leave the viewers in amazement. Her dialect, command over language, her body language itself is so much to learn from.

Besides being an Actress, she has been supporting social causes related to women empowerment and child welfare. She has been recently awarded as the Woman of Substance Award in April 2018. She has been supporting the cause “Save & Empower the Girl Child” and gave a heart-wrenching speech on the same in 2012, which is highly commendable.
I hardly follow any celebrity on the social media, but I madly follow this lady on Instagram, just have a sneak peek to find it for yourself that how amazingly she is working on herself, she is unstoppable. Raising her girls just like the way she is.
She is beyond and above all the societal norms which hinders a woman’s path by throwing questions time to time like single at this age? A single mom of two? That to girls? etc etc but Ms. Sen has turned all her weaknesses into supreme strength and is a living example of my life my way.
Unapologetically sexy, passionate, fierce, strong, powerful and wonderful, Ms. Sen at the age of 44!!

Gratitude Journal-Your ME time!
Studies reveal that writing or maintaining a journal could prove several benefits. It helps in pouring out all the thoughts and keep you in a positive state of mind. The beginning is always a problem with anything new.
So starting with a gratitude journal as a whole new idea could be difficult initially, it sounds like letting- in a new family member in your house, but I promise you it’s worth it!
It is said a human being just needs 21 days to establish a new habit, and if it is a pleasant one then it may be a bit earlier. Make it a practice and follow it until it becomes a habit. It could become your ME time in no time, you just have to sit and write about all the things you are thankful for. Try to find some time and stick to it.

Why staying organized is important?
When we ask this question to our self, we get two answers,
1) It helps us stay in control and saves time for every minute we invest in it today
2) Not really as it is just a matter of habit. Excuses we give– I don’t get time, I am working, I have a lot to do already, It doesn’t matter etcetera.
Well, I guess it’s a matter of choice, in our whole life we tend to accumulate a lot of stuff and find it really hard to discard. In our house, at work, everywhere we just keep piling up the stuff. If you decide to spend a little time, few minutes a day on de-cluttering and organizing the area around you it saves a lot of future time for you, which we waste in searching for things we have stored for years.
Now if you are finding ways to stay organized, then I might help you with few tips from my side as I have been always blamed for having an OCD(Obsessive Compulsion Disorder) with neatness and with staying organized but I feel I am just a cleanliness freak and love things in place. Some daily/weekly/monthly activity might help you to keep things organized, as mentioned below :
A regular check — Like an inspection of your own house, your own room, office desk. You decide on the frequency of time, it could be weekly, fortnightly, or even daily, take out few minutes from your daily routine, so that you do not end up accumulating things which are not meant to be. Initially, it becomes difficult as we do not understand where do we start, right here, start from the things in front of you right now.. Take one room at a time, one closet, one drawer and once you just start it, you will realize there are things which are not at all useful and have been just occupying some space, I tell you– Discard them right away. If there is something which others can use then pass on or donate to someone needy, just do not keep it for another few months or years.
Recycle or donate — There could be some old clothes, sarees, jeans which could be recycled in rugs (duri), Cushion covers or you may simply donate them to your maid, watchman, or someone needy. Even books can be donated to a library. There are old utensils in the kitchen , lying down since ages, We don’t even use it but they are there.. first of all, we need to get rid of the sentiment we attach to each and every object we have in our house in our possession. Exceptions are always there for the things which are rare and irreplaceable, but we need not carry forward things like some legacy of accumulation.
Delegate work — A house is just not one person’s responsibility, delegate each area to each person of the house. It helps them to understand the difference between need and want and also they learn to organize things in their own way. There could be some stuff or items which you might not find useful but your kid would want to keep it, then make him understand if it is really needed and then let him decide it.
It just doesn’t happen in a single flow or at once. it is a continuous improvement kind of a process, in which you invest a lot of time. My personal experience of de-cluttering has always been amazing as in the end, I feel lighter as if I reduced some burden from my head. Even the busiest person could spare a few minutes daily to make it work.
So the bottom line is if something is unused for a longer time, basically its a clutter and it needs to go, we create them by postponing our decisions of letting them go.

Decreasing Attention Span!!
I am not sure if you will read it till the end. Will you? As we all know we just scroll stuff, read few lines, and if it pleases our attention then we move on to read it fully or we just turn off to another one… right?
With the increased digitized lifestyle, we want every thing quick and fast. The subversive era of smartphones has left us to decreasing attention span over the period, we do not even realize and it has got into us already.
Example: We plan to buy a watch online, we simply type the kind of watch we are looking for, in the Google Search Engine, we get multiple results, we usually click out the of first three ads displayed in front of us, as soon as we click, and if the page takes more than 6 seconds to load we move to another option…Another site already, without even waiting for the page to load fully and how much time? hardly a few seconds??
In real-world we are never time-bound, no time restrictions and no discipline but when it comes to the online world even seconds counts, it looks like we waited too long, this website sucks, pages are not loading and we just lose interest in the content. Problem? What do you think is the problem here? The Google Search Engine? The website? The content or the multiple available options to us, or our decreasing attention span?

If we go deep into the technicalities of a website, the page speed, and the content, yes there are times when there are serious issues with the particular web page and that time your recorded response to it is also acceptable. Most of the time it the availability and exposure to thousands of options to us because Google has it all and nobody is questioning us.
People with a more digital lifestyle, who are multi-screeners, social media enthusiasts, find it hard to focus on an environment where extended attention is needed. The most effected group among the humans are, The Children, as when they are excessively exposed to the multi-screens, they fail to sustain attention on one thing more than 20 minutes and have to repeatedly re-focus on the same thing to understand it. This somehow affects the understanding and behavioral pattern of the child.
We as adults can totally eliminate this when we know what information we are looking for and what exactly we want. We need to reach to the right resource and minimize the screen time. In this fast- pace digitized world, it has definitely become a need to be somewhere and in some amount be present on Social Media.
It the way how we use it and the world gets along. Stay focused, have some your time, without any phone around you, have real conversations with real people. I hate it when I try to strike a conversation with someone asking about something and they en-route me to search it on google, showing their preceding level of intelligence.
Alas!! It is a tough ride but it’s all in mind, if you do not let it take a toll over your mind, it will not matter and your attention and focus zone will stay safe with you.

Are You a Multipotentialite?
A Multipotentialite is a person who has many different interests and creative pursuits in life.
Multipotentialites have no “one true calling” the way specialists do.
Contrary to our belief system this definition leads us to think in a broader view, it allows us to explore our self, test our limits, and achieve things we never knew we are capable of. I firmly believe that why should we stick to one thing when we are capable of doing more things.
Why some of us never have a true calling?
Ever since childhood, we have been programmed in such a manner that we start believing that we should concentrate on one thing at the given moment and make it big in the same field in the future. But there exist, creative souls, who are good at so many things, someone could be a painter and a chef at the same time and someone could be a strategist, pianist and a singer at the same time.
Mulitpotentialites are simply the people who are passionate about doing so many creative things together. Like one could be a great singer but is a guitarist too, dances well, and is an extremely talented painter. This group of people never get bored in life as they have so many things to make their life interesting and get going.
But there is always a fear of losing the game as with the enthusiasm of doing so many things at once keeps pondering you, it also gives you are a fear of losing things half-way or being not able to complete the last task might leave you with disappointment.
When you want to do so many things together, you might be labeled as an irresponsible or immature person because you don’t stick to one thing. You are being judged on the basis of lack of commitment you show to one task at times and go for another one, which could, for others mean anything from not being serious to being irresponsible and careless.

Being everything is being a Multipotentialite
Not everyone can relate to this idea of being a Multipotentialite but yes you need to walk and take those tiny steps in order to accomplish things you want to do for your self as when you look back you will see that you managed to travel a lot of distance.
To feel less anxious about this: You could utilize your skills to earn more, by writing in your particular field, coaching, or even speaking. The important thing is not to give up on your interests; instead, look at them closely and see how you can proactively pursue them to better your situation.

10 Things I Do To Keep Up My Sanity
Being a Mental Health Advocate, I am someone who talks about raising mental health awareness and share all the possible tricks and hacks to save sanity for my readers, on the contrary, I am not even allowed to feel stressed or complain about it. Just because I promote it full-fledged I think I have made an impact that I never feel vulnerable and I am a positive person in every situation.
Big Misconception! Even I feel low, even I cry, even I feel emotionally drained and exhausted but important is that I continuously work on it. I follow what I share on my blogs and videos (not preach) I understand, I could empathize and I can proudly call myself a good and active listener.
We always find haters around us and I have been like told by them that I must follow the advice I give to others, so I just decided to pen down a few advice I give to others, taking out my time, putting in a lot of effort and upgrading myself by getting at least 6 certificates in this field. I guess that is crazy enough to show how much I am dedicated and committed to raising mental health awareness.

10 Things I Do to Keep up my Sanity
1.) Exercise
Any form of it, Yoga, Meditation, Cycling, Pilates, or even dance. I keep myself moving. Nowadays I cycle for at least 30 minutes then if I am in the mood I do another 30 minutes yoga asanas.
I enjoy stretching my body and I love the connection I have with myself.
2.) Music
One of the best therapies for many and I am sure all of you will relate to this, music works for everyone because we have music for all ears.
3.) Art/Gardening
I am connected to art ever since my childhood, I have always loved to paint and create some recycled stuff. I create Mandalas, little canvas paintings, and even DIYs. It is a wonderful getaway from stress and it keeps you intrigued constructively. (Also adds beauty to your house:) )
4.) Writing
Writing is cathartic and hence I have two blogs that I try to keep updated. This is my personal blog and I have a professional blog Sanity Daily, wherein I write fully researched topics, with a lot of effort, with at least 2000 words per bog and I try to put a soul in each and every blog I create just to be a medium to ease someone’s agony.
5.) Reading
Reading takes you to a different world. It helps you to escape from daily intricacies of life and you learn a lot when you read books written by different authors. It helps you understand their perspective and sometimes change yours.
6.) Staying away from negative people
I was very unsuccessful in doing this, but now I draw a firm line and I don’t let everyone cross that line. I stay away from people who don’t like me much, you can’t see me growing. I stay away from everything which causes drama and unnecessary stress in life.
7.) Investing in self
I learn new things, I involve my daughter in everything I do. I keep on reading and learning about new things. There is a lot to learn and when you are an open learner you never cease to grow and you don’t dwell into small talks, gossips, and demeaning others.
8.) Setting realistic goals
I know my capacities than anybody else and I know how far I can stretch myself. I set realistic goals for myself and I keep a check on them. I always maintain a daily to-do list and set deadlines for each work, which helps me to monitor my growth.
9.) Being grateful
For all the things I lose, all the friends or people I lose, I count my blessings. Nothing stays forever and there would hardly anyone by your side till the end , so keep moving even if you are alone and you will always have something or someone to be grateful for.
10.) Not seeking validation
This came very late for me. I wanted everyone and I wanted everyone to be happy. I wanted to get support and validation from my people for what all I do, but only a few years back I realized that not everyone will love you or like what you do. Not everyone will appreciate you and that is perfectly fine.
You are here to stay and not to please people. This might sound like a ranting post, but I feel sometimes it is ok to feel not ok and say it loud because when you convey something softly people take you for granted and leave their toxicity to you.
All the things I have mentioned above and other countless daily things being a mother, I do it all to keep up with my sanity and that’s how I gain strength to spread awareness, mental illness is for real, and working on it is essential. I somehow heal by helping others. So that’s me

Ghoomketu Movie Review- ZEE5

Overview:
Writing is something that is close to my heart. I know the pain and struggle behind every word a writer weaves through his writing. That’s why, when I heard of Ghoomketu, comedy-drama, where the central plot revolves around a small-town writer enamored by the filmy Duniya, I was eager to see the movie. Thanks to ZEE5, it finally found a release platform.
In Ghoomketu, directed by Pushpendra Nath Mishra, we see a whimsical light-hearted coming of age journey of the lead character who runs away from home to struggle for his Bollywood dream of becoming a sought after writer.
The plot takes a goofy turn when his missing report falls in the lap of a corrupt cop played by Kashyap is given one month to find him without even a single photo. Will the cop succeed or will he be transferred is for you to discover in the movie.
Right from the first metaphorical scene establishing the importance of writers in crafting epic stories, the tone is satirical here. The pain, the dejection and the trials of writers trying to find their feet in the filmy world are akin to losing yourself in a mela yet the world of Ghoomketu is gleeful.
Our hero finds joy in the little things that his struggle brings is reflected in the scene where he is scrubbing his feet with stone or quipping over his cutting chai with Bun Maska.
The story has a non-linear format going back and forth between life in his home town Mauna and his life in Mumbai. His scenes with his endearing Santo bua played by a terrific Ila Arun stand out. Watch out for the scene where she is praying in the temple or her interaction with Ghoomketu where she is listening to his story trying to encourage him irrespective of the fact that she didn’t find his idea interesting. She is given an unusual burp which she pulls off with elan.
Just like her, Ghoomketu’s family members have eccentric shades. From a father who is ready to burst out with anger at the drop of a hat played by veteran Raghubir Yadav to a Devdas Chacha played by Swanand kirkire, the small-town milieu is captured with an unusual quirk.
Final words:
Watch the movie Ghoomketu for the actors and watch it if you want to feel the struggle one goes through to make his mark in a city of dreams, Mumbai. In this time of the global pandemic, Ghoomketu makes its entry on an OTT platform, so does our Ghoomketu played by an earnest Nawaazudin Sidiqqui leave a bright trail or fizzle out forms the basic premise of this story? Watch out to find out
