One more day!
Tomorrow I blast off for RT in Los Angeles, and everything I do for the next five days will be tax-deductible! Woohoo!
If you're in the area, I'll be signing at the Giant Book Fair on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM. It's open to the public!
In other news... my very first book, The Arrangement, is now $1.99 at All Romance e-books! Better grab it now if you haven't already - it goes out of print on May 5th!

Three years, gone by in a flash!
This past May 4th marked my third anniversary as a published author. My first book, THE ARRANGEMENT, hit the virtual shelves in 2008, and is now officially out of print.
Which, IMO, isn't entirely a bad thing. I recently had a chance to take a look at the book again, and I can definitely see places to improve it. My hero, Eric, didn't come off too sympathetically to a lot of readers, so I've decided to remedy that, and add a little more sharin' and carin' amongst Eric, Nick and Ally, my first beloved menage.
Rereading the book after so long's been interesting. Honestly, there are parts I don't remember writing at all! In a way, it's like reading something someone else wrote. I can take a step back and view the work dispassionately, without being so caught up in it that I can't see where it needs a nip n' tuck here, an expansion there.
I hope to have the book out again soon, new and improved! Hopefully those of you who didn't care for the original version will give it another chance.
Never let it be said that I don't listen to my readers. :)

The Next Big Thing!
Hey everyone, and welcome to my Next Big Thing blog post! I must be the last author on the face of the planet to get tagged for this (other than the author I’m tagging!) so I’m sure you all know the drill. On to the questions!
1. What is the working title of your book?
The Arrangement.
2. Where did the idea come from for the book?
Actually, this is a re-edited, revised edition of my first book, which was originally published in 2008. I remember reading a lot of erotic romances before I started my own, but none of them seemed terribly realistic to me. I know that for some readers, the main attraction of romance lies in its escapism factor. But for me...well, I couldn’t see myself writing a book with characters and scenarios I didn’t believe in. So I ended up writing about a ménage that does just about everything wrong, until they figure out how to do it right.
3. What is the genre of the book?
Contemporary m/m/f ménage.
4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie
rendition?
I’ve had Tom Welling firmly in mind for Nick ever since I wrote the first draft.
For Allison, I’d be over the moon to get Carey Mulligan.
As for Eric...that’s a tough one. I used to be partial to Gale Harold...
But now I’m leaning more toward Alexander Skarsgard.
What do you all think?
5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
How do you hold together an unconventional relationship when the world seems determined keep you apart?
6. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency/publisher?
Self-published, with a tentative release date of March 1st.
7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Oh, gosh – that was a while ago. Six months or more, probably. It’s taking a while to revise/re-edit it now, so suffice it to say I’ve put a lot of work into this one.
8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Hm. All I can say is, if you like wall to wall sex, this isn’t the book for you. At around 65K, it’s the longest solo novel I’ve written and it’s definitely driven more by plot and character than sex.
9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?
It’s the old axiom – if you can’t find the kind of book you want to read, write it yourself. So I did. ☺
10. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
The Arrangement is actually the fourth in a five-book series following Eric, Nick and Allison over the course of twenty years. The first three – By Chance, Strictly Business and Complications – are prequels (and already available at Amazon, Nook, ARe and Kobo). Triad, the final book, will be out sometime this summer.
Here’s another awesome author I think you should check out:

Gorgeous new cover! *Kermit flail*
The awesome L.C. Chase designed me this beautiful cover for my revised and updated edition of The Arrangement!
Most people are lucky to find one love - Eric Courtland has two. But when Allison, his new wife, discovers his secret affair with Nick, his on-again, off-again lover of over a decade, Eric can’t bring himself to choose between them. Instead, he stuns them with a bold proposition neither can refuse.
Jealousy mars the early days of their relationship, but trust and growing intimacy lead to a deeper and more satisfying arrangement—as long as they keep their non-traditional partnership under wraps for the sake of Eric’s budding political career.
Blackmailing political rivals, the pressures of living in the public eye, and a serious illness all threaten their relationship—and force Eric to decide what he’s willing to sacrifice to keep the only two people he’s ever loved.
Available this March from Cat Grant Books! :)

Now available for pre-order!
Just got copies of The Arrangement back from the formatter. I am SOOO excited about this spiffy new revised edition. This was my first published book, and it still holds a special place in my heart.
You can pre-order it at All Romance ebooks, or keep your eyes open for it at Amazon, Nook, Kobo and Smashwords.
It will also be available in paperback shortly.
Also - By Chance is now back up for FREE at Amazon, and hopefully will remain that way permanently. They raised the price there for a few days - no idea why.

Various and sundry...
Wow! The Arrangement's a featured book over on ARe!
It's currently available for pre-order there and at Kobo.
And while I've got you all on the line, could I ask a favor? By Chance has been downloaded nearly 5,000 times since Amazon made it permanently free. If you read the book and enjoyed it, would you mind taking the time to write a short review? And "like" the book's page on Amz while you're at it?
Thanks so much! You're the best. :)

My bouncing new baby... paperback!
The next best thing to getting that first call (or in my case, that first email) with a contract offer is finally holding a print copy of your very first book.
The Arrangement was my first book, initially published back in 2008. I remember that indescribable thrill when I got my author's copy of the paperback in the mail - and so does everyone else in my building. I SCREAMED when I opened the envelope!
I got the same tingly feeling today when the cute UPS guy brought me my copies of the new edition:
The paperback is available now on Amazon.
The ebook edition is on pre-order at All Romance ebooks and Kobo.
