When is the best time to say affirmations.

If you’re reading this, then you’ve started your own spiritual journey. You’re exploring all about the unconscious mind, self-affirmation theory and you’re probably thinking now – how positive affirmations work best?

Spiritual affirmations have the unique capacity to alter your inner mental and enthusiastic scenario, emphatically adjusting you to the human soul's highest yearnings.

This is due to the fact that positive affirmation have tremendous creative and healing potential to your subconscious mind and improve your mental health by changing your negative thoughts.

Words are pictures that behave like devices to tune you in to the qualities you desire.

How do I get the most out of them? Surely there must be some secret – some trick you’re missing on. When is the best time to say daily affirmations?

I know – affirmations can be so confusing. And I get it – been there, done that.

You’re thinking things like, should I close my eyes, should I take a deep breath. Or if you’re a bit like me – a perfectionist – you’re trying to figure out how affirmations work best.

But let me tell you this:

There’s really no big secret into it, really.

However, if you say them the right way at the right time, you might start witnessing the major change in your life you were so hoping to see!

When is the best time to introduce new habits?

Okay, so before I answer your question, here’s a bit of science for you:

Your brain isn’t there to make you happy. Your brain is there to help you survive.

So you can’t rely only on your brain to make you happy – you have to put in a bit of conscious effort yourself.

You can have an interrogative self-talk with yourself.

Often times, old, negative beliefs are so ingrained in your brain that you need to put actual effort into replacing old patterns of thinking with new ones.

And yes, positive thinking takes some time, effort, and dedication – that’s your foundation to set a new habit.

Can you imagine this – our survival instincts are so strong, that our brains treat positive thinking as a completely new habit!

And what’s the best time to start practicing a new habit?

First thing in the morning.

Simple, huh?

Using a variety of spiritual affirmations is critical since the psyche can generate its own nonsense and self-talk if you don't.

The mind generates a vast spectrum of analysis during the day, and if it is pessimistic, it will affect any aspect of your life. For example, it is commonly stated that a variety of diseases begin with repressing emotions.

We are strong creators, and all we create is a product of our words and feelings.

Spiritual affirmations enlist the help of elevated metaphysical resources, giving them a deeper meaning than general affirmations; they affirm the self and spiritual connection.

   

How affirmations work best in my experience?

I do my affirmations right in the morning before my mind gets cluttered with everyday tasks. I also recommend you do the same.

I prefer to do it once I’m in the shower but you can also do it while you’re brushing your teeth or while doing morning yoga.

Here’s the morning affirmation I repeat to myself in the shower:

My life is growing bigger every day.

My life is growing BIGGER EVERY DAY.

MY LIFE IS GROWING BIGGER EVERY DAY!

Then I let myself feel joy. It’s this immense feeling of content and security that wraps itself around me and follows me throughout the day.

Because my life is growing bigger every day!

The MOST important part is THIS!


You can say your affirmations in the morning but still not witness the results you’re hoping to do.

Remember this:

You have to feel the emotion of the affirmation you’re saying in order for it to work its magic!

Trust me on this one – your life can be growing bigger every day, too!

The meaning of your intuition

5 Common Feelings You Often Mistake for Intuition

Sometimes, different emotions – and especially strong ones! – pop up in our head as intuition. But there’s a way to tell them apart – and it’ll come natural to you as soon as you become aware of what’s really going on inside your head.

Here’s a look into the most common feelings we all sometimes mix up with our gut talking and what you can do about it!

1. Desire

You know how sometimes you really, really like a guy? And then you keep bumping into him at your favorite coffee shop, and then at your local Target, and then at the movies!

Is this meant to be? OMG – YES, the Universe is sending you signs! And you’re blessing your intuition… until you find out that he’s well, already taken.

Was your gut wrong? Nope, that was simply desire taking the wheel! See, the thing is, intuition is never as strong and overwhelming as desire. Intuition will never be repetitive and convincing as desire can get.

Still not sure whether something is intuition or desire?

Step back and assess. Are the feelings you get about the present – or the future? Do you feel calm – or rushed to make a decision?

Remember, intuition is never about the future – nor feels rushed. Intuition is always about the here and the now.



2. Fear

Fear is very likely THE most commonly mistaken emotion when it comes to listening to your gut. So how do you know whether your gut is telling you to stay away – or you’re simply scared?

Here’s what I do that you can do as well.

When you’re just scared, your mind will be SWAMPED with a million different thoughts about… well, about everything! You overthink, you doubt, you worry – and you seek the approval of others.

On the other side, intuition never makes you overthink. If it were really your gut talking, you wouldn’t want to call your best friend to confirm – if that makes any sense!

Intuition is more instant – like a light bulb turning on! Once it’s on, you know it’s on – and you don’t worry about whether that light bulb should be on or off!



3. Disappointment

Life isn’t going according to plan and you take that as a bad sign?

Don’t give up just yet.

Actually, that’s probably not even something you should take as a sign from your gut. Sometimes, bad things happen for a reason – to clear up old energy and to help you let go of the past.

Trust your gut – and trust the Universe a bit more. Better things are coming your way!

After all, you know how the rule goes. The Universe never said everything will go the way you imagined it will. The Universe simply said you’ll arrive where you’re meant to be at the right time.


4. Anger

Anger is a strong emotion – and every strong emotion has the power to trick you into thinking that’s your gut doing the talking.

The thing is, anger works side by side with the ego. That little voice you hear isn’t your gut doing the talking – it’s your ego convincing you to stay angry!

The ego wants you to be angry – and wants you to focus only on HOW YOU FEEL.

That means you’re not looking at the bigger picture. You may miss out on something big – something that’s really important but you won’t pay attention to it because you’re focusing only on your anger.

See where I’m going with this?

Using your intuition doesn’t only mean doing what you feel like doing. More often than not, it’s about utilizing both how you feel and what you perceive to your advantage.



5. Anxiety

You can’t shake off the feeling that something bad is going to happen to you – and that has lasted for months already?

Let me tell you right away – that’s not your gut giving you a warning. If it were, it wouldn’t last for weeks or months – and it wouldn’t feel dreadful.

That’s probably just your anxiety talking to you.

Intuition will never make you feel scared – or uncomfortable about something for days on end. And again – intuition is always about what’s happening now, not what will happen in the future.

Next time you’re all caught up in worrying, close your eyes and breathe deeply for a while. I bet that in a few minutes you’ll hear a soft voice at the back of your mind that everything’s alright – now, that’s the voice of intuition!

You must stay with yourself so that you can perform at a greater frequency than the average person. Having the ability to function at this high of a frequency, with a clearer head and a honest soul, would allow you to do things you never knew were possible and to put an incredible amount of energy and inspiration into your existence.

There is a familiar adage that anything you desire others to be, you must be that first yourself. The more you can heal yourself and following that amazing soul within you, the more grounded your attraction will be. You intuitively understands what's correct, it realizes how to manage you the correct way, presently you should simply to figure out how to tune in.

Why don’t we use intuition more often then?


Here’s something you’ve got to remember:


Intuition is part of your survival instinct.

It kicks in when you need it the most. No matter how little you pay attention to in your everyday life, intuition won’t let you down when you need it the most. 

Think about it: whenever you’re in crisis, you try and access your intuition. You listen closely and you pay attention to even the smallest signs.


After all – your life depends on your ability to hear what your gut is telling you, right? Most of the time, your intuition is pretty much RIGHT. But truth be told, you won’t find yourself in a life or death situation every day.
And that’s exactly where the problem is. You don’t use your intuition daily because you don’t try to access it daily. 

Basically, here’s what happens most of the time:Your brain is busy, busy, busy – there are thoughts shooting through your mind even in the middle of the night.
It’s easy for things to get overwhelming for a while. You’ve feelings, emotions, responsibilities, problems, challenges, personal issues… the list can go on & on.
There’s constant noise in your mind.
And your gut feelings – and whatever else your intuition is screaming at you – gets drowned in the noise! 
What YOU can do to sharpen your intuitive feeling.
You know how sometimes life gets just too damn much and you’re worrying about everything and you’re like:  OMG, I need some time out.


And then you go do something fun and relaxing – let’s say, you take a walk with your friend. Once you come back – or in the middle of the walk – the right answer to whatever was worrying you shows up! It’s like BAM, right there and then!

Intuition is normally more like a profound feeling or vibe that you detect inside you, rather than a verbal thought action. Overthinking is less deep and takes place more in the brain, where it manifests as a constant chatter. One will also lead to the other; for example, ignoring a gut instinct can lead to overthinking. In this situation, it's important to take a step back and understand whether you're spiraling, and try to find a solution.

Here’s what I suggest you do in order to clear your gut feelings a bit more clearly:


Meditate!

Do you want to cultivate razor sharp intuition? Although cultivating intuition is not learned in school, meditation will help you prepare for amplified intuition. This is because a calmed mind reverberates at a rhythm that allows intuition to flow freely.

Meditation helps you to reach a calm mental environment. Since the barrier (noise) has been turned off, experience and knowledge will permeate. Your whole body is at ease. The more time you spend practicing quieting the ‘noise,' the more attuned you would be to searching and getting higher guidance or intuition. Meditation is a vital piece of the intuition-building routine.

I really can’t stress this enough – meditation is your brain’s time out. You’ve got to help your brain relax and drown the noise. Any other way and your gut feelings won’t be able to reach the surface. 

Remember this: meditation isn’t about you not thinking. It’s about learning how to let thoughts pass on freely so your brain gets to rest for a bit! 

Meditation allows you to relax and halt your rational mind (to silence the talk in your heads caused by left brain dominance) to allow the subconscious mind to draw in. It will help to relax and unwind the head after a long day. Meditation helps you  to connect with your intuitive feeling  and will help you make tough choices and ‘just sense' what's right or wrong in our marriages, jobs, and lives.
Journal your thoughts

When it's difficult to get started, journal prompts will help... When you're at a loss for words.


One way to prompt yourself is to do some doodling in your spare time.


I find it helpful to write down three items for which I am thankful on every given day. I've labelled each day in my journal with the phrases "today I am grateful for..." and the numbered 1, 2, and 3 as a cue. You are free to compose more, but at the very least three. This is a healthy thing to do to build good mental health practices.

I often cope with stressful days by journaling about my conscious and subconscious mind thoughts on a notepad. 

There’s no need to worry about your handwriting or whether the things you say make sense to anyone. There’s also no need for the whole “dear diary” moment – just write whatever comes on your mind. 

Once you write it down, you’ll notice it’s a lot quieter in your head – and you’ll be able to hear what your gut is trying to tell you!

After you're in a propensity for journaling without overthinking or judging, it gets simpler.

Now – think about it.

How much time do you consciously spend trying to access your intuition? 

Try this :

Review a period in your life when your intuition was attempting to reveal to you something. It may have been communicated as a fantasy, or an idea, or feeling. Or then again you may have encountered it as an unpretentious knowing inside you. Ponder the accompanying inquiries: 

– What was the message? 


– Did you follow up on it or overlook it? 


– What were the outcomes, regardless? 


– How did it come to you? 


– What was the impact on you and your life?

Your intuition can become your superpower as well. You’ve just got to take the time to build it more and more each day. 

The more you work on it, the better you’ll get at making gut-based decisions – ultimately leading to a happier, more content life.


At the point when we open up to and trust the natural experiences we sense, it's simpler to respect their power and permit them to move inventiveness inside us. The more we believe what we sense, the more we make with certainty, creating that limitless circle and permitting it to gather speed.

1. Your rational mind is too strong

Has this happened to you?



You KNOW you’re right about something but it feels just too wild to be true – and you decide to go with logic and facts instead. It doesn’t take long to realize you’ve made the wrong decision!  



Don’t get me wrong – I’ve done the same far too many times. Using the analytical mind only is what we’ve been taught.



If you want your intuition to work, sometimes you’ve got to trust what you feel – and not what you see. Listening to your gut often means believing without seeing. Let go – and trust the Universe to take you on the path where you belong.



2. Your ego gets in the way

Nothing good happens when the ego gets in the driving seat. Your ego may easily block everything on its way - the voice of reason and intuition included.



The thing is, your ego wants you to think you know everything there is to know. It can easily trick you to rely and believe only on what you see - and not on what you feel. (the completely opposite of intuition!)



The ego is loud and demanding and wants you to be scared. That’s why ego-driven people are always closed-minded - they’re simply scared.



Want to win over your ego?



Drown the noise. Ignore everything the mean voice at the back of your mind is telling you. There’s so much more to life than what your ego wants you to think. Open yourself to growth.



Focus on yourself – and find ways to grow as a person. Stop comparing yourself to others. Trust your judgment a bit more. It’s only then that your intuition will be able to rise to the surface.



3. You’re feeling too anxious or depressed

Have you noticed that whenever you’re anxious or depressed there’s always this question at the back of your mind: What do I do?



It’s as if you feel this urge to do something to get better, even though you don’t even know what that something is. That’s just your mind being overwhelmed – and your body having a normal reaction to stress.



If you want to help yourself, slow down. Stress is blocking your intuition and clouding your judgment. Your intuition doesn’t work on demand – you can’t force it and you can’t look for it.  



Calm the mind – and intuition will show up by itself.  



4. You don’t trust yourself

Do you feel scared each time you have to make a decision?



There isn’t anything coherently bad about fear. After all, fear is what kept our ancestors alive. Unfortunately, fear can be one of the biggest reasons why you can’t hear your gut!



See, the thing is that plenty of people experience fear in the same part of the body where intuition shows up – in the stomach. Naturally, you later doubt – is it fear or is it my gut talking?



One of the best ways to trust yourself more is to build your self-esteem. Encourage yourself each time when you make a good decision. Spend time on your own personal development.



All of that will do wonders for your inner voice!



5. You feel disconnected from yourself

Talking about working on yourself… Do you regularly take the time out to work on yourself?

Everyone has an intuition. But you won’t be able to hear it if you don’t work on connecting with your true self.

Why don’t we use intuition more often then?


Here’s something you’ve got to remember:


Intuition is part of your survival instinct.

It kicks in when you need it the most. No matter how little you pay attention to in your everyday life, intuition won’t let you down when you need it the most. 

Think about it: whenever you’re in crisis, you try and access your intuition. You listen closely and you pay attention to even the smallest signs.


After all – your life depends on your ability to hear what your gut is telling you, right? Most of the time, your intuition is pretty much RIGHT. But truth be told, you won’t find yourself in a life or death situation every day.
And that’s exactly where the problem is. You don’t use your intuition daily because you don’t try to access it daily. 

Basically, here’s what happens most of the time:Your brain is busy, busy, busy – there are thoughts shooting through your mind even in the middle of the night.
It’s easy for things to get overwhelming for a while. You’ve feelings, emotions, responsibilities, problems, challenges, personal issues… the list can go on & on.
There’s constant noise in your mind.
And your gut feelings – and whatever else your intuition is screaming at you – gets drowned in the noise! 
What YOU can do to sharpen your intuitive feeling.
You know how sometimes life gets just too damn much and you’re worrying about everything and you’re like:  OMG, I need some time out.


And then you go do something fun and relaxing – let’s say, you take a walk with your friend. Once you come back – or in the middle of the walk – the right answer to whatever was worrying you shows up! It’s like BAM, right there and then!

Intuition is normally more like a profound feeling or vibe that you detect inside you, rather than a verbal thought action. Overthinking is less deep and takes place more in the brain, where it manifests as a constant chatter. One will also lead to the other; for example, ignoring a gut instinct can lead to overthinking. In this situation, it's important to take a step back and understand whether you're spiraling, and try to find a solution.

Here’s what I suggest you do in order to clear your gut feelings a bit more clearly:


Meditate!


I really can’t stress this enough – meditation is your brain’s time out. You’ve got to help your brain relax and drown the noise. Any other way and your gut feelings won’t be able to reach the surface. 

Remember this: meditation isn’t about you not thinking. It’s about learning how to let thoughts pass on freely so your brain gets to rest for a bit! 


Journal your thoughts


I often cope with stressful days by journaling about my thoughts on a notepad. 

There’s no need to worry about your handwriting or whether the things you say make sense to anyone. There’s also no need for the whole “dear diary” moment – just write whatever comes on your mind. 

Once you write it down, you’ll notice it’s a lot quieter in your head – and you’ll be able to hear what your gut is trying to tell you!


Find a stress dumping site


In my opinion, stress is the number one reason why our minds are hectic – and the reason why we can’t hear what our intuition is trying to tell us!

Don’t let stress & anxiety take over your decisions – your intuition knows better than that! 

Instead, do whatever it helps you release stress: working out, riding a bike, painting, spending time with your friends, singing, baking, knitting. As long as it works, there’s no shame in it! 

That way, you calm the mind and let your gut talk to you.



Now – think about it.

How much time do you devote to yourself – meditating, journaling, doing things that help you fight stressful situations?


How much time do you consciously spend trying to access your intuition?

Everything about DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL.

The dark night of the soul has been used as a term for the mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual struggles or traumatic experiences that someone can encounter at some point of their lives.

The word "dark night of the soul" derives from a poem by St. John of the Cross (1542-1591), a Spanish Carmelite monk and mystic, whose "The Dark Night of the Soul" is translated as Noche obscura del alma.

This eight-stanza poem depicts the path of the soul from the world's distractions and entanglements to the perfect peace and unity of union with Heaven. The "dark night of the soul" is associated with traveling the "narrow path" that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7:13-14, according to the author.

The most preeminent emotion associated with a dark night of soul experience is being totally lost or feeling so alone. You feel absolutely lost and destitute. One experiences the complete and total abandonment from the life they knew. Quite possibly the most well-known causes is the selling out of trust in a marriage or relationship whether it be sexual or passionate or lost of a loved one. A longing to surrender or to be discouraged is common. Self-destructive contemplations and inclinations tend to be much easier than anything else. All the euphoria of daily life and experience is gone. Previous joys and beguiles seem to be good for nothing, useless, vain and dumb. Essentially, there is no longer any creativity and no promising culmination of existing circumstances.All too normal are anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and a heightened sense of dread. Rage, blaming others, projecting oneself upon others, self-pity and self-absorption, unjustified feelings of remorse, irrational fears, and dread of the future are all common in the dark night of the mind.

The clinical symptoms of the dark night of the soul differ among those who encountered it. Fatigue and sleep deprivation, a feeling of wasting away from consuming high-calorie foods (i.e. chocolate, ice cream), drinking alcohol, smoking, are also normal. The person simply cannot muster up the will or the power to carry out his everyday activities.

The escape is straightforward. The first step that can be taken by any person suffering from the emotions of a dark night of the soul is the awareness that certain sets of feelings are shared by all individuals. Even the most brilliant, wealthiest, and most prosperous people in the world have, at one time or another, a dark night of the soul.

Here, an individual thinks not just about himself or the condition he is experiencing. He begins addressing about existence. The individual experiences an otherworldly emergency.

Philosophical inquiries, for example, these might emerge: – Who am I past my body? – For what reason do we live all things considered, if passing is a reality? – What is there in the afterlife? – Do connections truly make a difference? – Is there re-birth?– What am I doing here? – Does my reality truly matter?

Is Your Body Trying to Tell You Something? Are body memories real?

Yeah, you read that right – your body is regularly talking to you. It’s your job to learn how to listen!How Cell Memory Works on Our Physical Bodies

Present day science instructs us that our cells contain DNA which is the outline for the total plan of our actual bodies. They additionally hold the diagram for our passionate, mental and otherworldly state.

Our cells recall all of who we have been in previous existences and every one of that has been in this life straight up to the current day (henceforth the term cell memory). So as we change and fill in any part of our lives, our cells are continually refreshing our own information.

Cells additionally hold the data of all encounters that has been consumed from hereditary legacy, nothing ever experienced whether positive or negative escapes being programmed.

Your body, in all honesty, remembers everything. Sounds, smells, contacts, tastes. Yet, the memory isn't held in your psyche, secured some place in the openings of your mind. All things considered, it's held in your body, right down at the cell level. Mother Nature knew what she was doing. Human bodies are incredibly resilient – but also, incredibly smart.

Cells are continually developing and dying, the true expression of the functioning of the cosmos. So either we plan to live and evolve intentionally, or we do nothing, which is a personal decision.

Your very own body has ways of sending you signs in various forms apart from pain: sensations, and tensions but also things like tingling or numbness. Those are all signs that your body is trying to communicate with you.   

Not every shoulder pain you experience means cancer – so don’t google to scare yourself to death. Sometimes, it means a lot of unprocessed emotions you may have subconsciously chosen to ignore.

Bear with me here as we take a deeper look into what your body is trying to tell you and what you can do to respond better.


I’ve had problems with my hips for as long as I can remember.

They just felt weird… tight. Numb – and even sore!  

It didn’t matter that I spend hours on the yoga mat every week. It didn’t matter that I’ve always been an active young woman, taking very good care of myself.

Then I noticed that the worse I felt, the more my hips would hurt. Was this a ridiculous coincidence – or the answer to my problems?  

At first, I brushed this off – it sounded ridiculous to me.

Why would an educated woman in the USA, in the 21st century, think that the condition of her hips has anything to do with her emotional state?

Then, as fate would have it, I stumbled upon this book: The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind & Body in the Healing of Trauma.

And then, it wasn’t so ridiculous anymore.

It all made sense.

Do you know what body memory is?

The body remembers – and it doesn’t only remember the physical injuries you’ve had. It also remembers all the emotional trauma you’ve been through. (the one that we all often choose to ignore)  

Each symptom – and sometimes, disease or condition – you experience might be your very own body wisdom signaling you that it’s time for a major change.

But where is it going at this stage of the presence of cellular memory? Why not offer healing? It would be nearly unlikely without past life counselling, when the emotions are suppressed and we are not mindful of hanging onto them.

We all know the strength of knowledge, so it's only natural that self-knowledge is self-power.

The more we know and learn about ourselves, the more successful we will be and the more relaxed we will be, right down to our very soul, with our own physical and emotional bodies.

In our physical and mental wellbeing, knowing what motivates us, what repels us and what we yearn for, what we need to resist and why we act the way we do will make a huge difference.

What do body memories feel like? I’ve been wise enough to learn how to listen.  

Whether the traumatic event (or events) happened days, months, years, or decades ago, the prospect of facing it can make it seem like it was just yesterday! Turns out that my hips problems are related to my ingrained sense of insecurity. The hips are where we store unprocessed stress and emotions – and everything else we don’t want to deal with in our conscious life.  

My hips still sometimes hurt – with the only difference being that now, I know it’s time to step back, relax, and let whatever has been bothering me rise up to the surface.

Here’s what your body may be trying to tell you!

These are the most common sensations each of us has experienced at some point!

1) Headaches & migraines

Everyone gets a headache once in a while – and that’s nothing to worry about. But if you’re dealing with headaches and migraines that last for days and don’t go away no matter what you do, you might want to dig deep.

The forehead is where the intellect is placed. Think well – and answer yourself honestly.

Are you feeling trapped in your career? Discontent about your life choices? Maybe you feel like someone’s making a fool out of you? Don’t be scared of change – it’ll do you good.  

Oh, and hear this – are you feeling specific tightness around brows and temples? You might have lost touch with your inner self and your intuition. Take some time off to meditate and nurture the connection you have with yourself.

2) Back, neck & shoulder problems

Had a strong emotional reaction to anything but didn’t say a word out loud? You might experience different sensations in your neck area. Practice being more vocal about your emotional needs and wants.

Shoulders feeling heavy? That’s where we carry our worries and sorrows – you may want to admit what’s been really bothering you lately. It’ll do you good, trust me.   

If your back is killing you, you may struggle with stored anger and resentment. Learn how to forgive, both to others and to yourself. Nothing is worth your peace!

3) Chest tightness

The tightness in the chest is one of the most common signs your body is sending. That’s because a lot gets stored in the chest area.

Every relationship you’ve ever had – both with family & friends or lovers – leaves an impact that’s later on, felt there.

Any feelings of low self-esteem that haven’t been addressed properly or suppressed may arise in this area, as well as fear and anxiety.

The solution? Don’t base your worth on others. Learn to relax and go with the flow. Love yourself unconditionally – and love yourself enough, even when life doesn’t go according to plan.

4) Throat & mouth

Not letting the real emotions rise up to the surface? Your mouth and throat might be the first ones to suffer!

Whenever I’m angry and don’t say anything, I can almost feel my throat vibrating. That’s the sensation of suppressed anger trying to pass through. You don’t need to yell to express anger – there are ways to constructively deal with anger.

Your mouth reflects the state of your self-care – the way you tend for yourself. If it’s often chapped and dry, you might want to pay more attention, both to your physical and mental wellbeing.

There is anecdotal evidence with organ transplants in which the recipient has reported to have developed new memories or habits after receiving an organ transplant.

The fact of the matter is, the body will recollect the injury, and the body will feel similar actual sensations once more as it "recounts the story" of what occurred. The survivor's psyche may have shut out the torment and made dissociative dividers around the horrendous experience, however the actual body itself can recollect the injury through cell memory.

How Cellular Memory Affects Our Health


By default, your body is built to support health, harmony and connection between all parts. So why do we get sick, develop a disease or illness that won't easily go away? If our bodies are meant to support vitality and healing then why doesn't it just happen right away? The simplest answer, in our experience over the last 20 years, is that the Cellular Memory by nature contains both Positive Emotional Charge (PEC) and Negative Emotional Charge (NEC) that is constantly flowing and influencing our state of mind and body health. The PEC is our soul's birthright. It can be described as an energy field of life force that is free flowing, expanding, peaceful, non-fearful, whole and alive beyond words.

The NEC is our human condition. It can be described as an energy field of life force that is contracted; held as unprocessed traumatic experiences, negative beliefs about ourselves and others, suffocation, fear and any emotion that is a derivation of fear such as guilt, grief, shame, embarrassment, resentment, anger, etc.. We refer to the NEC's collective energy field as the Pain Body. When the NEC becomes disproportionably higher than the PEC, this leads to massive dysfunction in the human body-mind system.

Candace Pert, former Chief of the Section of Brain Biochemistry of the Clinical Neuroscience Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health, studies health influences at the neurochemical level. She noted recently that "repressing emotions can only be causative of disease. Failure to find effective ways to express negative emotions causes you to 'stew in your own juices.'"

Day after day, this chronic immersion in negativity is what appears to produce harmful influences on health. The key, according to Pert, is found in complex molecules called neuropeptides. The brain contains about 60 different neuropeptides, including endorphins. These neuropeptides are the means by which all cells in the body communicate with each other. This includes brain-to-brain messages, brain-to-body messages, body-to-body messages, and body-to-brain messages. Individual cells, including brain cells, immune cells, and other body cells, have receptor sites that receive neuropeptides. The kinds of neuropeptides available to cells are constantly changing, reflecting variations in your emotions throughout the day. The kind and number of emotion-linked neuropeptides available at receptor sites of cells influence your probability of staying well or getting sick.

Viruses use these same receptors to enter into a cell, and depending on how much of the natural peptide for that receptor is around, the virus will have an easier or harder time getting into the cell. To put it simply Candace said, "The chemicals that are running our body and our brain are the same chemicals that are involved in emotion. And that says to me that . . . we'd better pay more attention to emotions with respect to health. Under the influence of massive amounts of contraction, our cells begin to function inefficiently."

The emotional charge resulting from the accumulation of NEC is blocking the receptor sites of your cells from receiving the message to upkeep basic functions. They can no longer perform the routine tasks of producing proteins that carry out the basic tasks of keeping the body in a perfect state of health. It isn't that disease and imbalance is created by our cells but rather in the "absence" of balance, disease and imbalance is created and experienced. Even with a "strict", "proper", or "ideal" diet, nutrients can no longer be assimilated efficiently into the body. This is an interesting fact since so much emphasis has been placed on the importance of diet and exercise as the keys to eliminating and preventing toxicity in the body.

In many alternative practices, there has always been a credibility and acceptance of the common link between the repressed emotion and where in the body the imbalance or disease begins to manifest. According to Oriental medicine, each organ or gland has one or more emotions that influence it. More often than not, the emotional trauma begins to manifest the imbalance in a corresponding organ or gland. With all this ancient wisdom and modern scientific research as supporting evidence, we can no longer ignore the fact that emotional toxicity plays an equal and perhaps a more dominant role in achieving optimal health.

Feeling like you’re not getting anywhere fast enough in your life – and you’re in your late teens or early twenties? Just be patient with yourself – here’s how happiness changes with age and over time!

Have I told you I love growing old?

I’m 38 years old and now, I love myself more than I have ever before. Life feels so damn good these days!

But the relationship I had with myself hasn’t always been this positive. For the biggest part of my late teens and early 20’s, I either felt depressed or had to struggle with major confidence issues.

Not much of the bliss of youth older people talk about, huh?

See, the biggest cliché younger people have to hear all the time is that they’re too young to know pain. They’re too young to hurt. Too young to struggle. So I hear you – and you matter.

However, things will get better eventually. And you’ll be happy with yourself – just as I am now.

There’s a fine line between things that matter in life and things that don’t matter.

Unfortunately, the modern world has a liking for accentuating more the things that don’t.

Your clothes. Your looks. Your hair. Your bra size. Your social media followers.

As time goes by, you realize that there’s no need to waste precious energy on trivial matters. It’s okay if you have a bad hair day – and it’s completely okay if you don’t want to spend money on clothes. Your focus shifts from quantity – to quality. And you magically start caring less.

2) You no longer feel the need to be accepted by everyone

While in high school, I literally spent days worrying what other people thought about me. I wanted to fit in so bad, even if it meant changing who I am and what my values are.

After all, everyone wants to be accepted by others.

But do you know what’s the number one revelation I had in life?

Not everyone has to like you. Seriously now – even you don’t like everyone.

Don’t hang out with people you don’t like. Don’t wear clothes you don’t like. Don’t be someone you’re not.

Be yourself – because there are people who will like you just the way you are!

3) You become more confident

One of my biggest aspirations is to help more young girls realize that they have what it takes to be more confident right away.

Let me say this out loud: real confidence comes from within.

Learn from my mistakes – don’t wait for 36 years to pass to be comfortable in your own skin.

Don’t let the opinion of others shape the opinion you have about yourself. Get back the control over your feelings of self-esteem. You can be whoever and whatever you want to be – as long as you’re happy with your choices!

4) Everyone is self-conscious about something

Every single person on the planet has some weaknesses. Everyone is self-conscious about something – even if you can’t tell what that something is.

But do you know what the wisest people I’ve met do? They fully embrace their weaknesses!

I’ve always been petrified of the fact that sometimes, I’m slurring my words when I talk. So what did I start doing? I started recording videos on YouTube!

And you know what? I bet that no one has even noticed this before I said it out loud now!

5) You put yourself & your needs first

As I said, everyone wants to fit in. And in an attempt to fit in, you try and please everyone else.

But as time goes on, you realize this is emotionally exhausting. You can’t please everyone – even if you wanted to.

You & your needs come first. Do whatever it takes to protect your energy and your confidence.

Oh, and this isn’t selfish. Taking care of yourself first is never selfish. Even emergency landing instructions in airplanes have the same written down: help yourself first so you can help others.

6) You realize life’s too short to be anything but happy

Sometimes, I feel like my life is moving at a warp speed.

One day you’re on your high school graduation – and then you blink. Next thing you know, you’re thirty-something and trying to figure out why on hell you’re not content with your life.

And you know what? I realized life’s too short to be anything but happy. It’s that simple – life’s too short to worry about things that don’t matter (see no. 1)

So do know that whatever you’re struggling with right now, probably won’t matter 10 or 15 years down the line.

Happiness changes and evolves over time – and do your best to enjoy every single moment of your life.
