BODIES

Novel finished. Spent the last couple of days editing. Having a couple of final read-throughs and it should be published next week. Although it's a hot story, I believe the relationships between the characters come over very well. Sure, it's not a story for those who are repulsed by physical action, but I think it shows how some folk can find happiness in pursuits that others wouldn't find too desirable. The suspense builds very well, and I don't think the reader will see the shocks arriving, especially the last and most terrible shock. It's a good finale to the WASTED PAIN, PROTECION, BODIES trilogy. Those who like these kind of stories will find it an interesting read.

BODIES

Nineteen Chapters done and there's been heaps of tragedy and disaster. Those who liked the characters in PROTECTION will wonder who makes it to the end. It's grisly, and unpleasant reading. But some folk complain about sex scenes and enjoy seeing happy rompers being brought down to earth, and hey, in this book, some end up under the earth. The cover is ordered and there's only one Chapter to go, so hopefully, on schedule to publish in just over a week. BODIES, I think, will be the final curtain call for Jerry and his gals. Pastures new await, and it could well be an English novel next on the agenda.

BODIES

Oh dear, I warned you that the story would take a turn for the worse, and it sure has done. Sixteen chapters completed, and Jerry and the gals are in turmoil; their lives are in chaos and their romps are a memory quickly fading into the past. One character has bit the dust - that's all I'm going to say - and in chapter seventeen it's going to get even grimmer. It's terrible having to do what I'm about to do, but hey, you folks need to be stirred by a shock or two. I don't think there's a happy ending around the corner in this novel and we're all going to be reaching for a handkerchief pretty soon. BODIES has four chapters remaining, and the only juice that's going to be flowing is of the red kind. Stay tuned. As Arnie said, 'I'll be back.'

BODIES

Approaching the end of chapter fourteen and the sizzling is getting as hot as it's going to get. I'm building the story towards a point at which everything is going to change - the world of Jerry and his gals is heading for the shallows. There's going to be bloodshed, heartache, and disaster. Oh, night after night I go to bed and think I can't be awful to my dear characters, but hey, what am I supposed to do - put them in a fourth novel! No way, it's got to end with this book. I know what their fate is, and it's the best end for the readers. Only one or two weeks left, then I'm getting started on a sober novel wherein there will be mental turmoil and maybe a lot of boring physical activity like lifting soup spoons. Am I kidding myself? Judging by my last three works - I'm deluded. Stay tuned.

SUPERFLUOUS/BODIES

Finished chapter twelve and believe this novel is not going to be called SUPERFLUOUS. When I changed my ending a couple of days ago the title didn't seem applicable any more. Since sleeping last night I've thought BODIES to be an appropriate title, so glad I didn't order a cover a week ago, as was intended. I'm just trying to figure out the last eight chapter - got the final four in my head, but 13-16 are a bit of a problem. As usual in my suspense novels I'm attempting to lure my readers away from the knockout punches that lie ahead, so I guess Jerry and the girls will have to have plenty of fun and lots of relaxation to divert the reader from surprises. Hoping to have this done by the end of April. I'm already considering stories for my next effort, which at present is going to be a serious piece of English Literature filled with deep emotion and turbulence. But hey, who knows what will happen. Tomorrow is another day.

SUPERFLUOUS - back on track

For a day or two I thought I'd gone off the rails: plot going haywire, characters taking over, a bit of dissatisfaction setting in. But hey, in the middle of one night I woke up to find my brain had spurted out a terrific ending. I'm going to shock the pants off every reader - I'm usually a softy with my characters but this time they're going to leave my readers shouting curses. I'm half way through chapter eleven and Jerry and two of his gals are on a long drive. The other two gals remain in the house. It's not going to be a good ending. Oh sure, there's plenty of wildness to come, but the new character I introduced many thousands of words ago is going to make her presence felt. She's a nasty piece of work and thinks she's got the wherewithal to take on my lead gal, Erica. We shall see what happens, but after WASTED PAIN and PROTECTION, I think Jerry and the gals are going to take a long retirement, and that doesn't necessarily mean these lovely folk are going to get killed off. Toodle-e-pip.

SUPERFLUOUS

On Chapter Ten, but things are not going as planned. Once or twice I've thought of abandoning the project; the characters have taken over the plot and I've lost control. One of my characters whom I had always been fond of, seems to have turned into a villain, against my intentions. I don't care for writing about folk I have no sympathy with, and I always think I'll pop them off if they become obnoxious. I'll battle on for a while yet, but must admit I'm struggling here. There's already been one murder, and its looks like the score is going to rise to two. This is supposed to be romantic/erotic suspense... frankly, I don't know what the hell it is at the moment. I'm overthinking instead of just steering the characters along a path and occasionally giving them a nudge. Will it get finished or do I press the erase button? The ups and down of writing, eh.

SUPERFLUOUS

Cracking on with the follow up to WASTED PAIN and PROTECTION. Six chapters in and Jerry and his three gals are again dominating the action, just as they did in Protection. The good news is that Ginger from Wasted Pain has joined them, so it's got even hotter than before. But in the next chapter or so I'm going to take control and deliver a nasty surprise, and I've an even nastier surprise up my sleeve if they don't get their minds off each other. It's wonderful continuing with these characters and it's difficult making them any way other than the way I see them, but there just has to be more than sex in their lives so I'm going to need to be ruthless. One of the characters, not necessarily one of my heroes, is going to get it full bore very soon. That'll take their minds off being naughty all day! Stay tuned.

SUPERFLUOUS

I got to the seaside for two days, and no, there were no ice-creams, paddling in the sea, or strolling about looking at gorgeous gals, instead I wrote the first two chapters of SUPERFLUOUS. At present it could go one way or another, I've only one major plot in my head and a few other minor things going on. But as ever, I'm dreaming up events all day long and hopefully I'll think of a shock or two to deliver. At least Jerry and the gals go marching on, and that's pleasing. Will report again when there's something worthy of a mention.
