PROTECTION (PROGRESS)
I would first like to thank those who have left recent reviews. All comments are appreciated and taken note of. Reviews aren't always glowing but it's good of people to read your work. As for PROTECTION, well, it's coming along nicely, and living with the characters is wonderful. Four Chapters done, and I'm already feeling sad that one of them is going to get killed off (maybe). I think the sub title is going to be 'Sex, Murder & Romance', a nice blend of topics that I've never put together before. There are only four characters as I prefer to stick to a small cast; fewer characters means they come alive quicker and I become more fond of them. I hope to get this book out of the way by the end of March so I can enjoy the beginning of spring with an empty head. Take care everyone.

PROTECTION
The first chapter is finished and I'm just starting to get to know my characters, especially the three girls who are the protagonists of this book. At this stage I'm aware that for every first chapter that's written, there's usually two or three that end up in the bin. But my main concern at the moment is that I seem to be writing a rather steamy novel, rather than the romantic comedy I intended. Who knows what will happen. I have some idea of where I'm going but once the characters come to life a writer must allow them to take over the script. I guess if the book ends up hot, I'll just have to be satisfied, but until I've got beyond 15,000 words there's never a certainty it will be finished. Some books just die on you. I'm hoping for the best. Will update in a few days.

WASTED PAIN (new release)
Well, my latest novel WASTED PAIN hits the shelves so I'm wondering how it's going to do. Will be pleased if you take the time to read it, and many thanks f you do.
Already hard at working thinking about my next novel. I'm starting here from an unusual point; there are two book covers I have in mind so I'm trying to get the story to fit the book cover - weird eh. Nice to have challenges you haven't before undertaken. It will probably be some kind of romance with as much comedy as I can put into the subject, but who knows? Provisionally entitled PROTECTION, buy hey, not a word is on paper yet, so anything could change.

WASTED PAIN
Thanks to all who have been reading, are reading, or have left reviews of my books. I've been storming through countless hours on WASTED PAIN, enjoying the last few days with my main characters as the story reaches its ending. It's a horrible time when you know the folks you've created in memory are soon to vanish from thoughts and they will be laid to rest on the final page of a book. The joys of writing, eh. The cover is already prepared so hopefully I'm less than a week away from publication. Thanks again to my readers.

New Novel (Ken Ross)
I'm less than a month away from completing my next novel, provisionally entitled WASTED PAIN. It's a story set in an American city, written from a middle aged guy's perspective, as he finds a distressed homeless girl and develops a relationship with her. I would imagine it's a somewhat unusual novel, rather funny in the way that the guy is totally honest with his feelings. He falls madly in love with the girl who throughout the story doesn't reveal anything about her past, or even her name. With only 10/15.000 words to go I've a choice of which ending to write. Do I make it sad, or is the reader going to sigh, and say, 'Ah,that was lovely'? Hopefully some of my readers will look out for the book on Amazon. Thanks if you do. Feb 2019
