Rosa's Confessions

With the publication of Moira's Sacrifice the Rosa's Confessions series is now complete - unless, of course, at some time in the future, I decide to resurrect her. It's a wonderful journey getting to know characters, and I must say, living with Rosa in my head for five months has been a privilege - she's got to be among my favourites, alongside Erica from the Ken Ross Romantic/Erotic Suspense series of 6 books. What comes next, who knows? Desperately searching for a new story... stay tuned, an idea will arrive in the coming days.

LIZZIE

Lizzie, Book 4 of Rosa's Confessions, is published and available on Amazon. Book 5. MOIRA'S SACRIFICE will deal with the aftermath of the evening that ended with Lizzie's revelation about her past. There is unease among the protagonists and it will take a miracle to repair their fractured relationships. Aiming for a publication date around mid-late February.

LIZZIE

LIZZIE is going to be my next novel and be Book 4 of Rosa's Confessions Series. I have the cover and am about 20,000 words into the story. Now Rosa has her cafe, and is somewhat settled with Tracey and Moira, her adventures with many become adventures with a chosen few. However, a new girl is hired as an assistant and Rosa's mind begins to wander. It's not plain sailing because Lizzie doesn't seem friendly. And things get worse when Lizzie casts her eyes on Moira. Rosa is going to discover that beauty is only skin deep and in future she needs to be careful to not play with fire. Hopefully the novel will be available by the end of December.

FAVORITE CHARACTER

The characters created by an author never stop surfacing in the mind; there is little difference between fictional characters and real people. Between books, I always consider whether to resurrect a favourite character, and I've one who has always been my absolute favourite. I'm fond of Michael (The Lads Will Have Blood) and Basil & Nora (A Cross of Crocuses). Ann ( - irresistible spirit) can't be resurrected because she died but there are many others that can be. The weird protagonists from Wrapped In Green Comfort are well worth bringing back to life, and I'm tempted to exhume Nina from Rosalee's Punishment. Louann's Home Movies has a whole range of oddballs, and it would be interesting to see what came of Harry Morgan in An Old Affair. Lucy from The Last Days of Childhood has further to run, and my recent creation Rosa Saint John (Rosa's Confessions Series) is the most likely subject of my next novel. However, when it comes to my favourites of all the folks who I've bought to life in the pages of my books the top three come from my Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series. At No. 3 is Jerry, and at No. 2 is Patsy, the devoted eldest sister of the gals. But my No. 1 favourite character is the gal who appears on the cover of Protection, and that is Erica - the fabulous unfathomable Erica who's shot dead about a dozen people and escorts me through life because she's alive and kicking in my head. One of these days I'll bring her back. Surely, every author has a favourite character? Who is yours?

HAPPINESS REGAINED

The third book of the Rosa's Confessions Series is now available. Happiness Regained takes up the story of Rosa's continuing search for a loving and lasting relationship. Of course, her exploits are mightily erotic, and she doesn't quite know who is the favourite plaything in her life. She keeps hoping Tracey Cummings will come to her senses, but she's also met a new girl, Maid Moira, who fulfils most of her needs. This Series is all about what can happen when things turn awry - folks run off in bizarre directions but all they're really looking for is love and stability. Does Rosa find happiness after her year-long adventure? From the downs of Superfluous to a little forgiveness in Partial Absolution, Rosa never stops seeking a life of happiness which may or may not arrive in this story.

PARTIAL ABSOLUTION

Partial Absolution, the follow up to Superfluous, will be available on 1st October. It is the continuing tale of Rosa Saint John's promiscuous adventures when she returns to her neighbourhood after months of exile. There is to be a third book in this series entitled ROSA'S CONFESSIONS: Erotic Suspense that will be Happiness Regained. Hopefully this will arrive at some time in November.

SUPERFLUOUS (update)

Absolutely storming... into the final 10,000 words and it's going as planned. This novel without chapters is Rosa Saint John's first-hand account of her transformation from a very ordinary timid young woman to a liberated free-thinker who is willing to do anything. Once her partner has cheated she explores openings for her desires. She soars to new heights and quickly realizes that there is more to life than being docile and dutiful. In her frank account of sexual exploits Rosa reveals her inner feelings and what she hopes to achieve. Although the story is erotic it exposes the nuances of relationships and forever searches for the answer to the question of what works and what fails when people are physically involved. Is Rosa's tale one of success or loss? It's an exaggerated tale of what can happen when the cracks appear. In life we lose and we gain. Rosa loses much, but gains invaluable lessons.

SUPERFLUOUS

Almost half-way through my next novel SUPERFLUOUS, a title I almost used about a year ago but it didn't fit the story. The present story is Rosa Saint John's first hand account of what happens to her after she learns that her partner Marty is cheating. Rosa isn't the confrontational type; instead she begins her personal revolution by seeking out lovers of her own. She's tired of being thought of as plain and ordinary and is determined to carve out a secret life that is fulfilling in as many ways as possible. At the half-way point, she's on course to leave her past as a memory, but can it all go drastically wrong by placing her trust in the wrong people?

Out now - 1st August! Secrets, lies, love and a battle of wills between Virginia and her dubious father. At least she's got Tommy - or has she?
