GIVEAWAY

From 29th July to 1st August AN OLD AFFAIR will be a free ebook on Amazon.com. So please feel free to read my last but one work, only released on June 6th, 2019. I will let you know about a second giveaway in the coming week or two.

On the Ken Ross Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series front, I've become so attached to my characters Jerry, Patsy and Erica that a fifth book is in the planning. A few paragraphs have been written but as yet I am unsure where it's going. The startling revelation at the end of MAMA has rocked Jerry's gals to the core. Patsy especially is left mortified and I think it's my duty as her creator to provide comfort, or indeed, disaster, for her future. So, my adventurous trio marches on, and hopefully, the three superstars will appear in book 5 in the not too distant future.

MAMA

Published today is the fourth book in the Ken Ross Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series. If WASTED PAIN was an interesting interaction between an older guy and a young homeless gal, and PROTECTION introduced the older guy's son, Jerry, and his gals to a life of endless sex and the occasional murder, and BODIES shocked a reader's pants off with its eroticism and several gruesome killings, then MAMA gradually leads the reader through sex, suspense, and mystery to the final lines of the book and a tear-jerking ending. Hey, I think the cover gal is gorgeous, just like Erica on the cover of Protection.

MAMA

Six Chapters completed in the past six days and now plowing through Chapter Seventeen. I'm building up toward the double-whammy ending which I hope will shock a few readers who don't think about endings before they get there. I've grown to love my characters Jerry, Patsy & Erica who've been with me for the latest three novels. They're fun folks who don't take life seriously and maybe they'll appear in my next novel too. The book cover for MAMA is ordered and I'm hoping to publish it within a week or two. If you've not started the series yet, and you enjoy erotic suspense stories, then start with WASTED PAIN, move on to my favorite book PROTECTION, and by the time you've been thoroughly shocked by BODIES you'll be ready for this equally - can't think of an appropriate word - erotic story. Happy reading!

MAMA

Mama, the fourth book in the Ken Ross Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series is going well. I'm at the halfway point and Jerry and the gals are preparing themselves for the battle of their lives. Of course, for ten chapters it's been non-stop action, but a very different type of action to that they face in chapter eleven. They're about to come into contact with a couple of folks who'll change their future, and maybe in time, put a very large smile on Jerry's face. The character of Mama has been established already, and so far she's brought some color to the story, but all the while I've been saving the best/worst of Mama for the final chapters of this book in the hope that she not only shocks readers in the final scenes but gives both Erica and Patsy a couple of lightning bolts that will alter them forever.

MAMA

The good news for those who have shown interest in my Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series which includes WASTED PAIN, PROTECTION & BODIES, is that a fourth book is on the way. I've been writing now for a couple of weeks but wasn't sure whether I'd abandon the project because there were many other ideas floating about in my head. But I've got going, and Jerry, Patsy, and Erica are back in full swing: they return to Crickenville to lay flowers on their Mom's grave, and boy, surprises are in store. There are a few subplots in this story and it's going to be just about as shocking as BODIES, but not in such a dastardly way. The truth is that the gals have lived so long in my head, I'm disinclined to give them up, and who knows, there could be more to come after MAMA. Almost six chapters in, and it's about to get rather complicated.

AN OLD AFFAIR

Latest novel AN OLD AFFAIR published today. This is a psychological romance tale about a couple who meet again thirty years after their initial affair has ended. Certainly of interest to single people seeking romance after spending a long while alone, and definitely for those in middle age who value their independence but have thought about having an affair. A good romantic read that gets warm rather than hot and sizzling. A couple of interesting characters who are both loveable, and at times annoying.

AN OLD AFFAIR

First, the title has changed: I thought in hindsight that The Cry of the Single was suggestive of younger people than the two protagonists of this novel. And second, the writing is coming along slower than I had expected. It is quite a difficult subject to deal with, the renewal of a long-dead relationship, and when there is only one primary relationship it's more problematic keeping the story flowing. However, reached the end of Chapter Thirteen, and the book should be finished in two or three weeks. At the moment though, I'm quite distracted by trying to work out a plot for the next novel after this one - possibly a fourth book in my Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series.

CRY OF THE SINGLE

Novel coming along reasonably well. On Chapter Six and so far the story is going to plan. It's about a couple who renew a friendship about thirty years after they parted. There are certainly lots of changes from being young with small children to standing on the verge of sixty with obvious signs of ageing and adult children biting at the ankles. This story explores the idea that no matter how willing older people are to go forward, there is always something in the past dragging them backwards. There are conflicts of interest, desires to taste what was once often tasted, and the relinquishing of what has become normal, to consider. The subject should be favourably viewed by anyone over forty who has spent many years alone, and I'm hoping this novel will find readers similar to those who enjoyed A Cross of Crocuses.

CRY OF THE SINGLE

Another novel started and I've slowly progressed to Chapter Four. This work will be very different to my previous three books, primarily aimed at middle--aged readers and the elderly. It's about a couple who are attempting to renew a friendship after they split up thirty years ago. I'm attempting to deal with the problems associated with mature people which they were unaware of first time around. They not only have physical changes, but they have the baggage of adult children who may or may not approve of their parents trying to rekindle old flames. Of course, in these types of books the action is ponderous, but what the characters lose in adventure they gain in mental understanding of the prevailing conditions. Hopefully, it turns out to be interesting as the characters become defined in my head.

UNTITLED

Today, tentatively began writing another novel, though I don't know how far I'll get with it. The story revolves around an English woman, about sixty, who feels her best days are over. She's going to meet an old flame who has similar feelings. And so it goes... sounds nothing spectacular after my trilogy of wayward novels, but hey, there's all kinds of readers out there, and I know my late mother would have enjoyed this kind of ordinary story. So, perhaps I'm writing it for her. I'll see how it unfolds. No title yet.
