Pro-Life Activists Slam SCOTUS Nom

Dozens of pro-life leaders raised concerns about the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee leaders Monday.“Ketanji Brown Jackson’s record speaks loudly of the type of justice she would be on the Supreme Court,” read the letter, addressed to Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin and Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley. “She has been handpicked by a pro-abortion president to satisfy the pressure campaign from pro-abortion, progressive activists.”The coalition, which includes leaders of the American College of Pediatricians, Susan B. Anthony List, National Right to Life and numerous other organizations, urged the Senate to consider Jackson’s judicial record on abortion issues. The letter focused on an amicus brief Jackson co-authored for the Massachusetts National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) regarding “buffer zones” which restricted protests outside abortion clinics. CA County will pay to encourage homeless

The endemic problem of homelessness in California is well known and has been a growing issue for quite a few years. In addition to the dangers faced by the homeless themselves, the public has grown increasingly alarmed at the surges that have been seen in crime, drug trafficking, drug abuse, sexual assaults, and everything else that comes along with large, semi-permanent homeless encampments. Unfortunately, it’s a daunting problem that the government has been completely unable to make a significant dent in, particularly in the larger, urban areas like Los Angeles and San Francisco. But San Mateo County has announced a bold new approach that they claim will deliver real results and do so remarkably quickly. In fact, they claim they will be able to reduce their homeless p …

Palin: May Run For Congress

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin said if she were asked to run for Congress she would do it “in a heartbeat.”
Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate in 2008, made the comments in an interview with Newsmax’ Eric Bolling.
The two were speaking about the pathway forward following news of the death of late Alaska Republican Representative Don Young on Friday at the age of 88.
“Oh my goodness, think of those huge shoes that are to be filled when we consider Don Young’s longevity and his passion, his love, his fighting spirit for our wonderful state of Alaska, and for the nation as a whole,” Palin said.
She then commented on the possibility of her being the one to fill those snowshoes.

Rumor has it Sarah Palin is considering a run for Congress to replace Don Young.
I hope she runs. We need more fearless patriots like her in the fig …

Biden Brussels energy announcement

President Joe Biden will unveil new Russian sanctions and “announce joint action on enhancing European energy security and reducing Europe’s dependence on Russian gas” on Thursday in Brussels, according to national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
Sullivan briefed reporters on Tuesday at the White House about Biden’s trip after press secretary Jen Psaki announced earlier in the day that she had tested positive for thecoronavirus.

“This war will not end easily or rapidly. For the past few months, the West has been united,” he said. “The president is traveling to Europe to ensure we stay united to cement our collective resolve to send a powerful message that we are prepared and committed to this for as long as it takes and to advance our response.”
Despite multiple questions from reporters, Sullivan declined to give any details on what the new sanctions could cover, claiming he d …

Trump: Putin Used ‘N‑Word’ — Nuke Threats

On Monday, former President Donald Trump raised quite a few eyebrows for his description of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump told Fox Business’ Stuart Varney of talks with Putin that “I listen to him constantly using the n‑word. That’s the n‑word.”
While many viewers would undoubtedly think of “the n‑word” as the racially charged slur, Trump clarified, saying, “and he’s constantly using it, the nuclear word.”

Saudis: Global Oil Supply in Jeopardy

Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s national oil company Aramco, said Monday the world had better begin paying close attention to the relentless terrorist attacks on Saudi oil facilities launched by the Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen, because Houthi mischief could make it difficult for the Saudis to increase oil shipments in response to global demand.
Nasser took the opportunity of an Aramco earnings webcast on Monday to elaborate on the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s warning that the kingdom will not be held responsible for oil market disruptions caused by Houthi attacks.
“The message that came out highlighted that these types of attacks and that type of escalation during a time when the market is very tight is a real concern for the world for it will have – God forbid – if more escalations happen over time, it might have some impact on supply,” Nasser said.
Amin Nasser, president and chief executive officer of Saudi Aramco, speaks during the fourth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference at the capital Riyadh’s Ritz-Carlton hotel on Janu …

Will Collins Vote to Confirm Jackson?

Sen. Susan Collins (R‑Maine) is considered a potential GOP vote for Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation, but at the moment, she appears to be on the fence and says she has unanswered questions about Jackson’s judicial philosophy.“I had a very good 90-minute meeting with her. But during that meeting I did not get enough information about her judicial philosophy. And that’s very important to me,” Collins told Fox News Monday. “Clearly her credentials are impressive, and her experience is extensive. But I want to hear her enunciate what her approach … would be as a Supreme Court justice.”
Collins’ attitude toward Jackson appears to have changed since meeting with Jackson earlier this month. At the time, she said that Jackson “explained in great depth the methodology that she uses as she approaches the cases that come before her.”
Is Collins signaling that she …

Barr Reveals What Was ‘Very Disturbing’ About Biden

Former U. S. Attorney General Bill Barr appeared on “America Reports” Monday and said he was “shocked” to hear then-candidate Joe Biden lie about his son Hunter’s laptop during the 2020 presidential debate against then-President Donald Trump.

The New York Times recently confirmed the legitimacy of the laptop, breaking with the media’s earlier position that the laptop and its contents were “unverifiable” and the product of a “Russian disinformation campaign.”

“America Reports” co-host John Roberts asked Barr where the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into the laptop could be headed, giving mention to a heated exchange between Barr and Trump referenced in the former attorney general’s book “One Damn Thing After Another.”

Barr responded that he was “limited” in what he could discuss because of “possible ongoing investigations,” but acknowledged that he was previously against injecting a criminal investigation against Biden’s son into the 2020 race without “definitive judgement” from the DOJ.

Biden Warns Of ‘Evolving Intelligence’

Joe Biden warned of “evolving intelligence” that suggests Russia “is exploring options for potential cyberattacks” against the U. S. on Monday.

The administration has previously warned about Russia’s potential for conducting “malicious cyber activity against the” U. S. as war continues to rage in Ukraine, Biden noted in his statement on Monday. However, this latest warning marks the president’s sharpest yet on the topic.

“This is a critical moment to accelerate our work to improve domestic cybersecurity and bolster our national resilience,” Biden said in Monday’s statement. “I have previously warned about the potential that Russia could conduct malicious cyber activity against the United States, including as a response to the unprecedented economic costs we’ve imposed on Russia alongside our allies and partners.”
