Germany to Cut Russian Oil

Russia has said that it is looking to Asia as a potential market for oil as Germany commits itself to wean itself off of Moscow’s supply.
Asia appears to now be a prime market in the eyes of Moscow, with a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly outlining the continent as a new potential consumer for Russian oil.

How to Respond to N. Korea’s ICBM Test

North Korea’s ICBM Launch: A Response to Kim’s Miscalculation – On March 24, North Korea possibly tested its new Hwasong-17 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Kim Jong-un broke part of his self-imposed moratorium on ICBM (and nuclear) tests that he promised the former U.S. president and the outgoing South Korean president in 2018. Kim must be made to understand he has miscalculated. The ROK/U.S. alliance must execute a new strategy. The timing for this is not unusual and Kim’s action was not unexpected. On the same day, the U.S. president attended an emergency NATO meeting to discuss responses to Putin’s War in Ukraine. In South Korea, a contentious presidential transition is underway. North Korea is under enormous pressure from its failed economy, COVID mitigation measures, natural disasters, and sanctions. In addition, there are ongoing political, economic, and security challenges with the revisionist (China and Russia) and rogue (Iran and North Korea) powers around the world. North Korea is consumed with domestic problems and the U.S. is distracted by global challenges. The Biden Administration has called for negotiations with North Korea anytime, anywhere, and without preconditions. Kim Jong-un …

Only Congress Can Declare War on Russia

Is the U.S. Constitution Still Valid? To Prevent Unnecessary War with Russia, We Better Hope So – At a press conference in Brussels on Thursday, President Joe Biden was asked what the United States would do if Russia used prohibited weapons in Ukraine. “We would respond,” Biden replied. Russia’s use of chemical weapons would “trigger a response in kind.” What was not asked, however, is a far more important question: what would the United States Congress do, as no American president has the constitutional authority to take actions that could plunge America into full-scale war – especially a war that could result in American cities being destroyed in a nuclear exchange. The question, by all rights, shouldn’t even be asked of the president. It should be directed to Congressional leaders. The U.S. Constitution is explicit and unequivocal that the power to declare war lies exclusively with Congress. It is both telling and troubling that Biden’s response generated no follow-up questions by the press nor expressions of outrage or overreach in the mainstream media following Biden’s statements. Because U.S. presidents have so frequently ignored the Constitution’s requirements and taken military action on their own authority, th …

Qin said China was uniquely positioned to help peacefully resolve what he called “the crisis.”
