(Reuters) — Dozens of people gathered in the Crimean city of Sevastopol on Friday to mourn the sinking of the flagship of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, a symbol, the crowd heard, of hope, revival and power until its demise.Some embraced and others laid flowers in memory of the Moskva missile cruiser at a monument to the 1696 foundation of the Russian navy in the centre of Sevastopol, headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet.Moscow, which annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, said the ship sank while being towed in stormy seas after a fire caused by an ammunition explosion.Ukraine said one of its missiles had caused it to sink.Reuters was unable to verify the exact circumstances of the ship’s demise.“Even for those who have not been on it, the Moskva was a symbol for eve …

Just as the tourism industry recovers from years of Chinese coronavirus lockdowns, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will find his summer holiday choices curbed from today, after the Russian government announced sanctions declaring he was no longer welcome in the country.
Likely reflecting the occasional claims by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Britain’s Boris Johnson is one of Ukraine’s greatest international backers, Moscow has banned Mr Johnson from visiting Russia at all.
The stern punishment was announced in a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry that named 13 British political figures. As well as Boris Johnson — full-named in the statement as ‘Alexander Boris de Pfeffel JOHNSON’ — the Deputy Prime Minister, Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary, and Minister of Defence were named.
Even former Prime Minister Theresa May and devolved Scottish government North Briton leader Nicola Sturgeon made the roll of honour of British politicians “no longer allowed to enter the Russian Federation.”

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) awarded a massive sum to a nonprofit for migrant detention at six hotels, but $17 million “went largely unused,” while the agency oddly accepted an unsolicited contract proposal while not considering others, according to the Department of Homeland Security.ICE has been using housing for detained family units since 2001, an inspector general report says. Amid a migrant surge in March 2021 and the anticipation of more to come, the federal agency entered into a $86.9 million contract with the nonprofit Endeavors for a six-month period. President Biden and Vice President Harris each gave less to charity than the average taxpayer for their level of earnings, with Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff donating far below what most in their high income bracket contribute, according to their 2021 tax returns released Friday.The poorest Americans were far more generous than either couple.Biden and first lady Jill Biden reported federal adjusted gross income of $610,702 in 2021 and paid $183,925 in federal and state income taxes while giving $17,394 to charity, about 2.8%. According to 2016 data from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, the average charitable deduction for those making between $500,000 and $2 million is 3.1% of adjusted gross income. Filers earning between $100,000 and $500,000 donate 2.9%.

Wuhan Collaborator Peter Daszak Demands Nearly $1 TRILLION To Fund ‘Pandemic Prevention’ Efforts.

EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak – who used research grants administered by Anthony Fauci to collaborate with the Wuhan Institute of Virology – has demanded that President Joe Biden invest nearly $1 trillion into “pandemic prevention,” at cost to the American taxpayer.

Daszak, born and educated in the United Kingdom, is infamous for his work with Chinese Communist Party collaborators at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the subsequent cover-up of COVID-19’s origins.
Now, the disgraced scientist is demanding the U.S. taxpayer shoulder the burden of protecting against his work manipulating “killer” pathogens by funding new “protections” to the tune of nearly one trillion dollars over the coming years.
The sizable ask is made in a new opinion editorial published by Fortune magazine, and comes amidst ongoing scrutiny over Daszak’s research in conjunction with the Chinese lab suspected by many as being responsible for the COVID-19 outbreak.
