Wimbledon Bans Russians

Tennis championships Wimbledon quickly jumped on board with everyone else in the rush to ban Russians and Belarusians from its tournaments. However, even as the tournament makes to ban Russia as human rights abusers, it still partners with companies that do business with Chinese companies that employ slave labor.

Wimbledon’s move will ban U.S. Open champion Daniil Medvedev, the player from Russia who is No. 1 in the ATP rankings and is currently No. 2; Russian player and No. 8‑ranked Andrey Rublev; Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, a Wimbledon 2021 semifinalist and No. 4 in the WTA rankings; Victoria Azarenka, a past women’s No. 1 ranked player from Belarus and who is a two-time Australian Open winner; and Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the 2021 French Open runner-up.

Roseanne Barr Blasts ABC for Firing

The legendary comedian Roseanne Barr has reemerged to blast ABC for firing her back in 2018 over a tweet about Barack Obama’s former advisor Valerie Jarrett that was deemed to be racist.
Barr made it clear that she still feels her firing was unfair, describing it as “witch-burning” in the new documentary “Roseanne: Kicked Out of Hollywood,” which is set to air on Reelz on April 24.

Barr Sounds Off About Firing
Fox News reported that Barr explained that prior to her firing, ABC frequently called her about her tweets, which were typically pro-Donald Trump and anti-liberal.
“Any tweet that was not ‘I love Hillary Clinton,’ I got a call for,” she recalled. “I removed it every time they called. And they called frequently.”
At the time, the first season of the reboot of her iconic sitcom “Roseanne” was airing, and it was such a success that it had already been renewed for season 2. Despite the fact that liberal Hollywood stars frequently tweet outrageous things about politics with no repercussions, ABC executives had a big problem with Barr’s conservative tweets.

Why Won’t Joe Biden Go to Ukraine?

President Joe Biden told reporters on Tuesday that he wasn’t sure whether he would travel to Ukraine, even as he continues to work with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to arm his military with heavy artillery and other supplies. The president refused to commit to travel to the besieged European country.Kyle Mazza of UNF News asked the president if he intends to visit the country as he walked past during a visit to New Hampshire.
“The answer is I don’t know,” the president responded.
When Mazza followed up by asking the president if he wants to visit Ukraine, Biden said that he has traveled to the country many times before.
“I’ve been to Ukraine many times, I just haven’t been there recently,” he said. “More than any other president, I’m the only one that’s spoken to the Rada twice.”
The Rada short of the Verkhovna Rada, is Ukraine’s unicameral parliament.
Zelenskyy Wants Biden to Visit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told CNN on Sunday that he would like to see the U.S. president visit the country, but said that the decision is up to him.
“I think he will,” Zelenskyy said. “I mean, it’s his decision of course, and about the safety situation…it depends. I mean, that …

Putin Funds Fake Protests, Rattles Nukes

Fake protests throughout the world and threats of nuclear war — in 2022 we witness a violent echo of 1983’s Kremlin-orchestrated frauds.
I’ll address the nuke threat first.
On Feb. 27 Russian President Vladimir Putin played drama king and put Russian nuclear forces on high alert. His war in Ukraine already failing, Vlad added nuclear pucker factor. Translation into emotional propaganda: world beware, or I’ll start Armageddon.
In 1983 the Russians worked a “reserve psychology” propaganda trope using nukes. See, the U.S. was the threat to launch a nuclear war in Europe, even though the Kremlin had physically created the conditions for nuclear war.
In the 1970s the Russian Empire, in the guise of the Soviet Union, started deploying SS-20 ballistic missiles to eastern Europe. The missiles threatened western European cities with quick dest …

Blackouts Occur When Green Energy Fails

Previews of what will happen when green energy fails are popping up all over the world. It’s not a pretty picture of the future.Lessons from California, Texas, Europe, and Australia show that if the “Keep it in the ground” movement succeeds in stopping the use of fossil fuels, the world is worse off.In 2021, I experienced firsthand the dangers of over reliance on wind and solar energy. Although there was plenty of blame to go around when the Texas power supply failed across much of the state during a bout of extreme cold weather that winter, the replacement of reliable coal-fueled power plants with industrial wind facilities bore the lion’s share of the blame. Driven almost entirely by politics, not market demand, wind and solar power now account for approximately 28 percent of Texas’ electric …

Using War to Assault Freedom

Most judges and lawyers agree that the war on drugs in the past 50 years has seriously diminished the right to privacy guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment.
Now a small group of legal academics is arguing that the war in Ukraine should be used to diminish property rights guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment.
Here is the backstory.
The Fourth Amendment was written to guarantee that the government may only search and seize persons, houses, papers and effects pursuant to a search warrant issued by a judge after the presentation under oath of evidence demonstrating that the place to be searched more likely than not contains evidence of crime. And the warrant itself must specifically describe the place to be searched and the person or thing to be seized.
These requirements — the work of Jame …

Biden administration to erase student debt of more than 40,000 borrowers

The Biden administration continued its student loan cancellation effort on Tuesday by announcing that 40,000 borrowers would see their student loans become eligible for discharge under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program and 3.6 million more will move closer towards forgiveness. The Education Department will give borrowers retroactive credit for “forbearance steering,” where student loan servicers have pushed borrowers into unnecessary interest-accruing forbearance. In another move that could help many other borrowers, the department will also take greater care to accurately track monthly payments for borrowers on income-driven repayment — which allows people who make less money to make smaller payments. The two moves bring millions of borrowers closer to forgiveness on government repayment programs.“Student loans were never meant to be a life sentence, but it’s certainly felt that way for borrowers locked out of debt relief they’re eligible for,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona said in a press release.“We wanted to act as quickly as possible to address these problems, but we expect these figures to only grow as we continue to analyze and implement these solutions,” Education Undersecretary James Kvaal said o …

Krugman: masks wearers will ‘face violence’

Paul Krugman is predicting that individuals who choose to wear face masks will be targeted with harassment and violence.Krugman’s comment on Tuesday came after a judge on Monday issued a ruling that slapped down the federal mandate which required people to mask up on public transportation.“A prediction about masking: Soon we’ll be seeing many incidents in which those who choose to protect themselves with KN95s etc face harassment, even violence. Because this was never about freedom,” Krugman tweeted.

Many Americans oppose mask mandates and believe that people should have the individual liberty to decide whether or not to don a mask.BlazeTV host Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report,” responded to Krugman by posting clown emojis. “My view: It was very much about freedom,” Robby Soave, a senior editor of Reason, tweeted in response to Krugman’s comment.“I think a lot of people (including me) just don’t want to be forced to wear masks in airports and on planes,” Michael Strain of the American Enterprise Institute tweeted.Virginia Kruta of the Daily Wire commented: “More likely: if we even notice that someone else has chosen to wear a mask, the worst they’ll get from us as we go about our business is an eye-roll. This was always about personal risk assessment.”“Preemptive outrage is a key subgenre of Liberal Fiction,” Caleb Howe of Mediaite twe …

Deputy: Flood Gates Open On Border

Officials in South Texas warn that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s decision to end Title 42 will cause a massive surge at the southern border.Mayors in South Texas like Don McLaughlin of Uvalde and Javier Villalobos of  McAllen are urging the Biden administration to not end Title 42 next month. The Trump-era Title 42 policy allowed the United States to swiftly expel migrants back to Mexico or their home country in order to protect against the pandemic. Border patrol and local law enforcement are preparing for a potential massive migrant surge when the policy officially comes to an end May 23. “As many as 18K migrant apprehensions per day are projected upon the end of Title 42,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted April 6, just days after the announcement. As many as 18K migrant apprehensions per day are projected upon …
