NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
NEW YORK CITY – Tourists visiting the Big Apple told Fox News it should be a personal choice whether anyone wears makes on public transportation.“It’s not what the people want,” Mark, who was visiting from California, told Fox News. “The majority of people I believe are against that decision to appeal” and reinstate the mask mandate.A federal judge on Monday blocked the mandate requiring masks on public transportation. Some public transit systems, airlines and ride-sharing services quickly lifted their own mask mandates. The Department of Justice, at the request of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, appealed the decision. The mandate “remains necessary for public health,” the CDC said in its request.

Durham springs the trap on Hillary Clinton’s lawyer

The month of May won’t be a merry one for Michael Sussmann, one of Hillary Clinton’s top lawyers at her favorite election law firm Perkins Coie, who is facing a criminal charge of lying to the FBI when he passed information to the Bureau’s general counsel, James Baker. Sussman stated explicitly that he was acting as a “good citizen,” not as a lawyer for Trump’s election opponents.
Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.
The tip was false. It described a secret, traitorous back-channel connection between candidate Trump and the Kremlin and included some “white papers” as “proof.” But that deceit is not part of this criminal charge. Nor is Sussmann’s follow-up meeting with the CIA, where he also claimed to be a “good citizen” not representing anyone, and passed o …

5 Weight Lifting Exercises for Absolute Beginners

January is the month of Fitness New Year’s Resolution and despite gyms being closed in most countries, the number of people jumping on the exercise and weight-loss train is higher than it has ever been. Most people that are afraid of going to the gym have been converted to home-training over the pandemic (most of you Lifehack readers might even have purchased my Busy Yet Fit Home Workouts video course) and now—hungry for quicker results—are stocking up with dumbbells and barbells to add some juice to their home-workouts.Adding beginner-friendly weight lifting exercises to a simple bodyweight routine is the next logical step to stimulate muscle growth, burn more calories, and increase overall strength. The other side of the coin is that poorly executed exercises with weights can lead to serious injuries, and some exercises might not be very effective, ending up wasting your time doing something that doesn’t really bring you any benefits at all.For the above-mentioned reasons, I …

Michigan Democrat AG, Major Energy Company Agree To End Coal Use By 2025 | The Daily Wire
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat, signed off on a proposed settlement Wednesday with an energy company to cease coal use by 2025, according to a government-issued press release. The decision comes 15 years earlier than the original plans. Michigan’s agreement with Consumers Energy Company — which says it delivers electricity and natural gas to 6.6 million of the 10 million residents in Michigan — must now be approved by the Michigan Public Service Commission.“Not only is this settlement a win for our environment, it’s also a win for Michigan ratepayers who have struggled to stay current on their bills,” Nessel said in a statement. “This agreement was truly a collaborative effort from all involved parties and a symbol of what we can achieve when stakeholders work together to create positive change.”Last June, Consumers Energy filed a resource plan that proposed shuttering coal plants across the state. Meet ‘Phoenix Ghost,’ the US Air Force’s new drone perfect for Ukraine’s war with Russia — Breaking Defense

Edited 4/21/22 at 4:29 EST to include comments from Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby, who walked back the department’s previous characterization of Phoenix Ghost.
WASHINGTON: The latest $800 million arms package for Ukraine includes a unique new item — the Phoenix Ghost tactical drone, a never-before revealed system designed by the US Air Force that will now prove its mettle on the battlefields of Ukraine.
The United States will provide more than 121 Phoenix Ghost Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems, which are manufactured by AEVEX Aerospace, the Pentagon announced today.
Earlier today, a senior defense official said the new drone “was rapidly developed by the Air Force in response, specifically, to Ukrainian requirements.” However, in a later briefing, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby walked back that characterization, stating that the Phoenix Ghost was “developed before” Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.
“It was developed for a set of requirements that very closely match what the Ukrainians need right now in Donbas,” he said.
The Phoenix Ghost is similar to the Switchblade unmanned systems previously delivered to Ukraine, the official said, in that it is a “one way drone” that is “clearly designed to give a punch” to a number of different types of targets. This likely means that Phoenix Ghost is a low-cost, single-use suicide drone that behaves like a loitering munition — flying around an airspace before ramming itself into a target.
That said, there are differences in the “scope of capability for the Phoenix Ghost, but I’m just not going to be able to get into more detail about those capabilities,” the official said, citing the …

JUST KIDDING! Philadelphia to Drop Mask Mandate Days After Reimposing

Philadelphia will drop its COVID-19 mask mandate less than a week after reimposing it, city officials announced Thursday night.
The Board of Health voted Thursday night to drop the mandate, according to the city’s health department, per Fox News.
The department cited “decreasing hospitalizations and a leveling of case counts” in a statement.
As previously reported by Human Events News, on April 11th, Philadelphia announced they would be requiring masks beginning Monday April 18th after ending the mask mandate in early March.
Philadelphia was the first major U.S. city to reinstate its indoor mask mandate, but after facing backlash – and a lawsuit – they changed their mind.
However, the city did not clarify when the mandate would be lifted.

Tennessee Passes Bill Requiring Drunk Drivers to Pay Child Support if They Kill Parent of a Minor

The state of Tennessee passed a bill that would require drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill a parent of a minor.
The bill previously passed in the House before it unanimously passed in the Senate Wednesday.
The bill will require a person who is convicted of vehicular homicide to pay restitution in the form of child maintenance if their victim was the parent of a minor. Each child of the victim would receive the restitution until they turn 18 and graduate high school, CBS News reports.
The amount of payments, which are similar to traditional child support, will depend on the financial needs of the child and their surviving parent or guardian, including the state, if the child is in the Department of Children’s Services’ care.
The standard of living the child is used to will also play a factor in the amount of payments given.
If the drunk driver is incarcerated and unable to pay the dues, they have one year after their release to pay up.

Fauci To Soon Be Under Investigation Once Finances Are Released…

Republicans will launch an investigation into Dr. Anthony Fauci if they win back control of the U.S. House in November’s midterm elections, says Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan.
Jordan said Republicans will “uncover” what Fauci knew about the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.
Republican Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, an ally to Jordan, released Fauci’s financial records. The records appear to show that Fauci and his wife have a combined net worth of around $10 million.
