FLASHBACK: Biden Admin Downplayed Inflation

White House officials repeatedly claimed that inflation would be “temporary” throughout parts of 2021, pushing back on concerns that it could be a longer-term problem. The reminder comes as Americans continue to struggle with inflation in 2022 – the Department of Labor (DOL) announced Tuesday that March consumer prices soared 8.5%, marking the fastest increase in 40 years.President Joe Biden and his administration have most recently blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for cost increases, dubbing it – particularly prices seen at the pump – “Putin’s Price Hike.” Prior to this, however, the administration sought to downplay inflation, casting it as a temporary issue for many months. (RELATED: ‘Putin’s Gas Price Hike’: Psaki Pins Russia And U.S. Oil Companies For Rising Gas Prices) In July 2021, White House press secretary Jen Psaki argued that the spike in inflation would not be a permanent adjustment, telling reporters “that these impacts are temporary.” “Our message is that we understand the threat that inflation poses. We will be vigilant about any responses needed. It’s important fo …

Hawaii Rep has not voted in person since Jan

Hawaii Rep. Kai Kahele has not voted in person in the House since January, congressional voting statistics show.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the House of Representatives adopted temporary emergency rules permitting members to vote by proxy for the first time in its history. The measure was intended to reduce gathering in a tightly confined space amid the height of the pandemic before vaccines were available to the public. But the rules have yet to be lifted, and some members have turned to proxy voting for reasons other than illness or the risk of infection, and there is no mechanism to enforce limits on members’ reasons for voting by proxy.

According to a data analysis by Honolulu Civil Beat, Kahele appears to be one such member. The freshmen Democrat from Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District has cast just five votes in person this year, all within three days in January. He cast the remaining 120 votes by proxy. According to the analysis, Kahele has voted by proxy mor …

Another Company Will Pay for Abortions

Online review and reservation service Yelp will reportedly announce Tuesday that it will cover expenses for employees and their spouses who travel out-of-state to get an abortion. The New York Times reported that the company, which is based in San Francisco, retains more than 4,000 employees. Just over 200 employees work in Texas, which has a law on the books banning abortions after fetal heartbeat detection, which occurs at about six weeks gestation.According to the Times, a Yelp representative said the company’s new abortion policy “benefit extends to employees in other states who might be affected by “current or future action that restricts access to covered reproductive health care.” I’ve covered in recent weeks how more pro-life states, such as Arizona, Florida and Mississippi, have created legislation banning abortion at 15 weeks, which is mainstream in Europe. Other than California, Maryland and Colorado are pushing extreme pro-abortion policies. The Times noted that Yelp’s diversity officer is not concerned how the company’s abortion “program” will be received. Reportedly, the progra …

How US Military is Training Ukrainians

The U.S. and its European partners and allies have been critical in helping the Ukrainian military halt the Russian invasion. Scores of countries have sent tens of thousands of weapons systems to Ukraine. The U.S. alone has sent over 10,000 anti-armor systems and close to $3 billion in military aid.But beyond the weapon systems, the U.S. has been offering training to Ukrainian troops even as the war is going on.Defeating the Russians From Missouri
Currently, there is a small contingent of Ukrainian troops at the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) in Biloxi, Missouri.
The Ukrainian troops currently at NAVSCIATTS U.S. were participating in a pre-scheduled professional military education program when the Russian troops entered their country on February 24.
The course the Ukrainian troops were attending ended in early March, but they remained behind so the U.S. military could provide them with additional schooling on advanced tactical training and training on the weapon systems the U.S. is sending Ukraine. One of those systems is the Switchblade unmanned aerial system.
While at NASVSCIATTS, the Ukrainian troops received training on patrol craft operations, communications, and maintenance.
U.S. special operations forces, especially Navy SEALs and Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC), often train in the area too.
“The secretary had a chance…to speak with the Ukrainian troops that were still in the States completing their training right before they went back to Ukraine. He had a chance to thank them for their service to their country and to wish them the very best as they went back in defense of that country, a …

Ukraine Needs More Tanks
Russia will be fighting on more favorable terrain in the eastern part of Ukraine, where its tanks could be a major threat.
byApr 11, 2022 7:38 PMUkraine’s arsenal of shoulder-fired anti-armor weapons and drones will need to be augmented by more tanks of their own, armor experts tell The War Zone. Tanks and other armored vehicles will present a much greater challenge for Ukrainian units as the Russian military shifts gears, with a new commander overseeing the concentration of forces in the east, where there is more rural, flat, open land ideal for mechanized warfare.Russia has seen a great deal of armor destroyed in Ukraine in the first 47 days of its all-out invasion of the country. Ukrainian forces have had great success, particularly in built-up areas and ‘fatal funnels,’ knocking out tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and other types of armor with the more than 60,000 anti-armor systems that have poured in from the U.S. and allies – like the Javelin anti-tank missile systems – as well as the Bayraktar TB‑2 drones supplied by Turkey.Destroyed military equipment of the Russian army in the city of Bucha. ‘Fatal funnels’ proved exactly that for Russian armor, but the open and flat eastern portion of the country could prove problematic for Ukraine’s current capabilities and tactics. , Sergei Chuzavkov/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty ImagesNow, as the focus of the conflict is shifting eastward, to a more tank-friendly terrain, Ukraine needs “mechanized forces, they need tanks, they need IFVs [infantry fighting vehicles] to be set in BP positions [battles positions],” said Army Maj. Michael Liscano Jr., chief of tactics for the service’s Armor School’s 2nd Squadron, 16th Cavalry Regiment. While Ukraine has lots of Javelins, and other systems like the British Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapons, or NLAWs, they may not be sufficient going forward, said Liscano, offering his own opinion, not that of the Army’s.“Yes, they have a lot of Javelins, but they’re scattered up pretty deeply, and without an armored force backing them, when they hit a huge mechanized force that is properly employed in terms of tactical movement formations and coverage with their enablers, they’re going to receive some challenges.”Adding to Ukraine’s concerns, said Liscano, is that “it’s easy to move tanks on open ground, depending on if it is muddy. I don’t know how muddy it is on the eastern side over there. But I do believe though, that within that territory, it’s great maneuver space.”There is precedent for the success of tank warfare in this region.“You can see it by history with regards to WWII from the Germans moving to the plains and the Russians moving back when Operation Barbarossa failed,” said Liscano. Of course, if the Russians don’t change tactics, none of that will matter, said Houk.“The Russian infantry today has shown little stomach for close-quarters combat, and videos of Russian tank losses show no signs of covering infantry support,” he said. “Thus the Ukrainians will be able to engage at a closer range, using anti-tank missiles, drones, and improvised devices.”Russian armor excels in more open terrain such as what’s found in Eastern Ukraine. , VASILY MAXIMOV/AFP via Getty ImagesGreat odds, he added, “won’t guarantee victory. The U.S. was outgunned and outnumbered at Arracourt in September 19 …

Nolte: Big Cuts Expected at Flailing CNN+

“Investment in CNN+, the streaming service launched two weeks ago, is expected to be cut dramatically in response to low adoption,” reports the far-left Axios.
“The new company leadership has yet to decide the fate of CNN+. CNN’s new chief, Chris Licht, starts May 1,” the report adds.

There are only two words there that matter, and those words would be “low” and “adoption.”
To which, please allow me to add my own two words: a “tee” and a “hee.”
Now that Discover and WarnerMedia have merged into Warner Bros. Discovery, a whole new regime is in charge of CNNLOL, and if there are any adults over at the new company, CNN and the lying, violent pigs who work there are in for a reckoning.
Regardless, what could bring more joy to the hearts of righteous men everywhere than bad news for the lying, violent pigs at CNN?

Joe Biden Announces a Mind-Numbingly Stupid Move on Gas Prices

As has become typical during most Democrat administrations in the modern era, gas prices have exploded during Joe Biden’s tenure. The national average is hovering around $4.10 a gallon, nearly double what it cost the day Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election. And while the White House would love to claim the rise is solely due to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, the precipitous rise began over a year before that. That’s largely due to Biden’s anti-energy policies. While campaigning for president, he routinely promised to end the use of fossil fuels. As president, he’s shut down pipelines and frozen federal leases. The United States, after becoming energy independent under Donald Trump, is once again reliant on foreign tyrants.
With that said, the Biden administration has been touting a “big” announcement to help lower gas prices. Would the president green-light more pipelines, fast-track the permit process, and/or open up leases that are …

Kevin McCarthy Issues Big Biden Impeachment Announcement

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy would not commit to impeaching President Joe Biden if the Republicans take back control of the House of Representatives in the fall.
But, he added, the House would “follow the facts,” if Biden’s conduct rose to the level of an impeachable offense.
“We’re not going to use it for political purposes,” McCarthy told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on her program “Sunday Morning Futures,” saying that’s what the Democrats did.
