Trump-backed Tshibaka to challenge Sen. Murkowski
Trump-backed candidate Kelly Tshibaka has officially filed to challenge GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski for the Senate seat she’s held since 2002. Former President Trump has repeatedly said he would campaign against Murkowski, who voted in favor of his second impeachment and called on him to resign following the January 6 Capitol breach.
“Lisa Murkowski has forgotten us because she cares more about being popular with her friends in Washington, D.C,” Tshibaka, a former commissioner of the Alaska Department of Administration, said after filing Monday with the state Division of Elections in Anchorage,
She specifically pointed to Murkowski’s vote last week in favor of confirming President Biden-nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.
“These are not the votes that a senator from Alaska should be casting. Murkowski has made poor decisions like this over and over, and we, the peop …

Crime: Mail Delivery Canceled In L.A. Hood

The news out of California is increasingly more dystopian with each day’s passing. The state that was once known for its own brand of the American Dream has now become associated with unchecked crime and violence, a chronic homelessness issue, drug addiction and filthy cities. And the beat goes on, as one Los Angeles environ was forced this week to discontinue mail service to homes due to a rise in attacks on mail carriers.
In January, a United States Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier was assaulted while delivering mail in the 1300 block of 14th Street in Santa Monica. A few weeks later the USPS sent a notice to local residents explaining they would be suspending mail delivery for the time being. From CBSLA:
Residents in the area were delivered notices from USPS, disclosing that “delivery service is hereby suspended to all addresses located on the 13-hundred block of 14th street.”
As expected, homeowners in the area are more than …

NATO Fighters Intercept Russian Jets

Share Article
MIHAIL KOGALNICEANU AIR BASE, Romania — NATO jets scrambled from this Romanian base four times in the last 20 days to intercept Russian fighters that launched from Crimea, flying toward NATO territory along the Black Sea coast. Each time, the Russian jets turned away without incident, but the flights represent a growing threat to the alliance.
The intent of the Russian practice was not immediately clear to the NATO air policing commanders and Combined Air Operations Centre in Torrejon, Spain. But, it underscored the importance of the mission to protect the skies over what defense officials say is the NATO front line in the Russian war with Ukraine.
“You have more Russian aircraft flying around the Black Sea,” Spanish Lt. Gen. Fernando De La Cruz Caravaca, commander of the NATO Combined Air Operations Center, told Air Force Magazine.
“We react to them anyt …

North Korea Marks 10 Years of ‘Invincible Leadership’

North Korea held multiple events this weekend to mark the ten-year anniversary of Kim Jong-un taking over the country after the death of his father, Kim Jong-il, praising the young dictator for “scientifically seeing through the law of the developing revolution” and his “foresight and wisdom.”
Kim Jong-il died in December 2011, according to the totalitarian North Korean government, and his son formally became the chairman of the communist Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the only legal political entity in the country, the following April. Under Kim Jong-un, North Korea has retained its characteristic brutality, keeping thousands of people in torturous labor camps for “crimes” such as suspected Christianity or being related to someone insufficiently enthusiastic about the Kim family. North Korea has also held most of its known nuclear weapons tests under Kim Jong-un: four of them taking place in 2013, 2016, and 2017.
The anniversary – occurring despite years o …

Obama’s DHS Secretary Issues Major Warning To Democrats

Jeh Johnson, Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, warned during an interview on Sunday that President Joe Biden was going to pay a steep political price for his continued crisis on the southern border as up to 18,000 migrants could be headed to the U. S. per day if the CDC lifts Title 42.
“The CDC and the Department of Homeland Security have said for months that border crossings will almost certainly increase once the order is lifted,” The Washington Post reported. “Homeland Security officials, who oversee CBP and other agencies, said officials are planning for multiple scenarios in case of a major influx, tapping Federal Emergency Management Agency officials to prepare for as many as 18,000 migrants per day, almost triple the current numbers.”
CBS News host Margaret Brennan asked Johnson whether the Biden administration was prepared to deal with such a dire situation, to which he responded by claiming that Biden officials have told him that they were making adequate preparations.

A new study has graded states by how well they handled the coronavirus pandemic and its subsequent restrictions and lockdowns, showing a stark contrast between liberal and conservative states. The Committee To Unleash Prosperity study compared state performance on metrics including the economy, education, and mortality from the virus, and examined how states and their respective governments handled the pandemic response.“Shutting down their economies and schools was by far the biggest mistake governors and state officials made during COVID, particularly in blue states,” Steve Moore, co-founder of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, told Fox News Digital. “We hope the results of this study will persuade governors not to close schools and businesses the next time we have a new virus variant.“New York, California, New Jersey and Illinois were among the worst in dealing with the coronavirus, performing “poorly on every measure,” the report said.GOVERNMENT-MANDATED COVID LOCKDOWNS SPARKED SEVERE HEALTH CRISIS AMONG TEENS AS TEACHERS’ UNIONS PUSHED POLICYThese states “had high age-adjusted death rates; they had high u …

NATO Plans ‘Reset’ Regarding Russia

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg suggested that the military alliance may establish a permanent presence of troops on its eastern flank in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.“What we see now is a new reality, a new normal for European security. Therefore, we have now asked our military commanders to provide options for what we call a reset, a more longer-term adaptation of NATO,” Stoltenberg told The Telegraph this weekend. “I expect that NATO leaders will make decisions on this when they meet in Madrid at the NATO summit in June.”
Since the start of the conflict, which erupted on Feb. 24, the United States has increased its troop presence in Europe to more than 100,000. Meanwhile, NATO has since deployed about 40,000 troops to the eastern part of the alliance to countries such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
NATO is “in the midst of a very fundamental transformation” to deal with …
