Stacey Abrams: Voter Participation Can Be ‘Suppression’

In the world of Stacey Abrams, everything is rigged, and her endless lies, grievances and conspiracies are either unfalsifiable, or the falsification of them is simply ignored. She’s become a big star among Democrats and their colleagues in the news media because of her lies, grievances and conspiracies. Sometimes, they like such things, depending on who’s claiming victimhood. Abrams is about to become her party’s gubernatorial nominee for the second time in two tries, but she’s currently consumed by November-minded damage control. She’s playing defense over her amazing weekend soundbyte in which she declared Georgia to be the worst state in the country in which to live. She can add all the “context” she wants. She just rolled out the campaign slogan that Republicans will tie to her for the next five months: “Georgia — we’re the worst.“RGA already running with Abrams’ inexplicable gaffe: https://t.co/2Srv9YpFGy— Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) May 23, 2022Notice the reticent smattering of applause, even from a friendly crowd. Georgia has been a leading state not just for doing business, but for population influx, in recent years. People aren’t flocking to the Peach State because it’s a dystopian hellhole. Contra what Abrams says in …

Texas association cuts NSBA ties

The Texas Association of School Boards announced Monday it will cut ties with the National School Boards Association, a decision that follows the release of a report detailing how the NSBA sent a letter to the Biden administration comparing protesting parents to domestic terrorists.
In an email to school board members, TASB Executive Director Dan Troxell announced the state association’s decision to disassociate itself with the national organization.
“As you know, TASB has been monitoring carefully NSBA’s efforts to rebuild trust with its members over the past eight months and awaiting the release of its independent investigation into the Sept. 29 letter,” Troxell said. “While we acknowledge that improvements have been made under NSBA’s new leadership, it’s clear that those efforts don’t go far enough at this time to overcome the operational deficiencies and lack of internal controls outlined in the investigation report.”
NSBA SAYS CONTROVERSIAL ‘DOMESTIC TERRORISM’ LETTER SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN SENT
The independent report, released Friday, detailed how the letter did not run afoul of the NSBA’s policies and procedures, even as numerous board members were unaware it was being drafted.

Schools Harming Kids by Masking Again

Even though summer’s almost here, our kids can’t catch a break.Several districts across the United States have decided to put school kids back in masks.
Maine: The superintendent of the Portland public schools wrote a letter to parents dated May 10, 2022 that stated that masks are once again required indoors and on school buses. (1)
Superintendent Xavier Botana insisted that “This step has become necessary to help keep everyone safe as positive cases of COVID-19 are rapidly increasing in our community and schools.”
Massachusetts: Officials in Northampton after holding an emergency meeting, also decided to mask children again.
Citing a rise in COVID-19 cases based on their pooled testing program (from 64 to 139 cases), Superintendent John Provost told the community: “I believe this intervention must be attempted because the current increase in disease spread is impacting the lives and learning of many within our school community,” reports the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Facebook Fact-Checker Silencing Biden Critics
Facebook and Instagram censored conservatives for their American energy independence statements even though fact-checkers disagreed on essential facts underlying the censored posts.
Fact-checker Agence France-Presse (AFP) claimed the U.S. hadn’t been energy independent as part of an effort that censored the Media Research Center 27 times. Another approved fact-checker used the exact term “energy independence” that AFP employed to nit-pick the MRC.
AFP censored 27 MRC posts combined on Facebook and Instagram between Feb. 28 and March 26. Those posts quoted high-profile figures, including former President Donald Trump, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R‑TN) and MRC President Brent Bozell.
Some of the posts promoted MRC’s mini-documentary “Killing Keystone.” Most of the posts had a caption pointing to Biden’s culpability in America losing its energy independence to become more reliant on foreign oil.
Facebook and Instagram slapped a “Missing Context” label on the MRC posts. Facebook in particular claimed, “Independent fact-checkers say this information is missing context and could mislead people.” Facebook and Instagram linked out to two articles by the French-government-funded fact-checker AFP which twisted f …

W.H.O. Chief Gifted Another Five-Year Term

World Health Organization (W.H.O.) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is guaranteed a second five-year term Tuesday when he stands for reelection in an unopposed ballot.
The 57-year-old former Ethiopian minister of health and foreign affairs will be rewarded by attendees at the W.H.O.’s main annual assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, in a flat rejection of any attempt to reform the U.N. subsidiary.
His first term was marked by stumbling to address the coronavirus pandemic while deferring to China alongside a long line of other crises, including a sexual abuse scandal involving W.H.O. staff in the Democratic Republic of Congo and wider allegations of mismanagement across the globalist institution.
Scientists drafted by W.H.O. to investigate the coronavirus´ origins in Wuhan, China, admitted the critical probe was ” stalled ” last year, after issuing a report even Tedros acknowledged had prematurely ruled out the possibility of a laboratory leak.
Such has been his questionable performance, at one stage a global petition calling for Tedros to resign went c …

BIDEN PLOTS TRUTH MINISTRY RETURN

No bad idea ever dies in Washington. Once it takes root, it will reemerge in another form. So, all the huzzahs about the demise of the Biden administration’s Orwellian “Disinformation Governance Board” are premature.
As we note in our I&I/TIPP Poll, the board attracted widespread hatred among the public, with 55% saying that they wouldn’t trust it to decide what is disinformation fairly. Among independents, 75% didn’t trust it, which is close to the 81% of Republicans who said they couldn’t trust such a government board. Among “free speech” Democrats, in stark contrast to Republicans and independents, 73% said they trusted the board to be fair.
“No doubt, both White House and congressional Democrat internal polling showed similar results,” Terry Jones notes. But don’t declare victory just yet.
For starters, team Biden said it would only put a “pause” on the board in the wake of a furious backlash from the public and revelations that the woman chosen to head it had herself peddled disinformation on numerous occasions.

Baby Formula Shortage Shows Biden Wants a Country Without a Future

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.
The ongoing shortage of infant formula shows that Joe Biden and his administration will not prioritize the American people. Biden’s cronies are too busy pressuring the Justices of the Supreme Court to uphold the unjust Roe v. Wade decision to notice that American families are scrambling to find adequate food for their babies. According to the Left, ensuring the “right” to end the lives of babies in the womb is a more important issue than feeding babies already born. This crisis did not happen overnight. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R‑Tennessee) noted, “The White House knew about this issue back in October. The FDA has not worked with Abbott (the baby formula manufacturer) in a productive manner to get this back open.” Months ago, Biden’s FDA shut down one of the largest formula manufacturers with no plans to replace that massive shortfall in the marketplace. Now, most places are 40 to 50 percent out of formula.Any mother who has fed a baby with formula knows that you cannot just pick any brand off the shelf. Many babies, especially those with special needs, respond best to certain brands. The situation has forced many parents to search for hours, driving in a time of unprecedented gas prices to find the nutrition their growing children need. While American moms are searching from store to store for formula, news broke on the border about a formula surplus. Representative Kat Cammack (R‑Florida) has been calling for accountability in the Biden administration. Earlier this month, Cammack received pictures from facilities where border agents discovered a stockpile of formula, which allegedly continues to grow as American grocery store shelves are increasingly empty. Cammack told Fox, “These agents themselves have families, and they have family members that can’t get this baby formula in the stores in Texas and Arizona and New Mexico. Yet they go to work, and they’re unloading pallets of baby food out of the ba …

Buttigieg: U.S. Backs ‘Marshall Plan’ to Rebuild Ukraine

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg told the UK Guardian this week while in Europe that the U.S. backs a plan to rebuild war-torn Ukraine after Russia withdraws with a “Marshall Plan” that will involve billions of dollars in aid.
Buttigieg was in Europe for a meeting of transportation ministers from all over the world — though the U.S. is suffering supply chain shortages, a baby formula crisis, and jammed cargo ports that theoretically fall within Buttigieg’s portfolio.
The idea of a “Marshall Plan” has been championed by former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, whose tenure was widely associated with corruption, leading to the election in 2019 of current president Volodymyr Zelensky in protest.
I remain convinced that Ukraine needs a consolidated, long-term, large-scale Marshall Plan 2.0 that can help us overcome the terrible consequences of the war brought to Ukraine by the Russian invader. Together we will win and together we will rebuild Ukraine!

Pandemic: Huge Number of Students Left Schools

A recent national survey of public school enrollment numbers shows that since 2020, a shocking number of students have left the system.
The data from the American Enterprise Institute’s Return to Learn Tracker found that 1,268,000 students left public schools since the start of the pandemic, per the Daily Caller.
After school closures during the spring 2020 semester, enrollment fell by 2.5 percent in the fall of 2020.
In the fall of 2021, schools that returned to in-person learning saw some recovery, while those that continued virtual learning suffered.
In the 2021–2022 school year, school districts that kept remote learning in place saw enrollment drop by 1.2% in that year, for a net loss since 2020 of 1 in 22 students. Districts that returned to in-person in the 2021–2022 school year saw a recovery of 0.9%, for a net loss of only 1 in 93 students.
Enrollment decreases varied according to grade level. Most districts with remote learning lost 8.1 percent of kindergarten students, 6.2 percent of elementary students and 2.6 percent of middle school students.
In high schools …
